A dishwasher is one of the best purchases that you can make unless you never cook at all. This LG is great at cleaning up just about anything and virtually pays for itself if the dread of cleaning is pushing you to order food more than you otherwise would. If I don't have a lot of dishes on a given day I'll just leave them in the machine until it fills up. Most things come out clean, including very dirty pots and plates, but there are a few items that may need a second wash or manual cleaning rarely. It doesn't seem to like ranch dressing in plastic containers, and when washing plastic always make sure it is dishwasher safe. Heavily soiled forks/knives/spoons are best washed in the bottom cutlery rack and not the top rack. The prongs on the racks could be better spaced. I once had a Bosch model that had them spaced perfectly and always held anything I loaded securely. The prongs on the LG sometimes have trouble keeping items in place depending on the size. This is mostly a problem when I'm loading things that I know will collect water if oriented a certain way like a cup with an indented bottom. It's not a huge issue, but it could lead to spilling some water when you unload the unit. Drying is great outside of items that collect water, but make sure to use rinse aid for the best performance. If you can try to avoid pot handles with indentations on the underside to avoid pooling of water, or find ways to orient them to avoid pooling. The detergent receptacle is a little tight and the dishwasher tablets I use need to be squeezed in a tiny bit, but they have never failed to deploy during a wash. Using gel or powder avoids this issue, but I've found the tablets to be the best for heavy duty washing. Less expensive gel is adequate for most loads. There are a number of wash cycles. I use Auto with Energy Saver the most often, however Energy Saver will not always clean heavily soiled items. The Turbo cycle is good for baking pans with burnt on food. There is also a dual zone option to allow heavy cleaning on the top or bottom and a gentle cycle on the other. Express has been useful for situations where dishes are needed right away and half load allows for economic cleaning of smaller loads. The only maintenance I need to do is to run a high temp cycle with a dishwasher cleaning tab or liquid a few times a year. Lastly there was no need to connect to a phone to use it, which is a major plus when so many products are sold while being reliant on some completely unnecessary external device. This is a great product with only a few minor quirks.

Very quiet and gets the dishes sparkling clean. I like the third rack for small lids and larger flat utensils. I haven't used all the cycles yet, but normal and delayed start cycles work great.

I'm am extremely happy with this dishwasher. First, it is the quietest DW I've ever had. So quiet, I couldn't tell it was actually working at first. Second, I love the stainless steel interior, which ensures me that the dishes are absolutely sanitized. Thirdly, it has large capacity, and the extra silverware/utensil tray at the top is extremely handy for large handled knives, spoons and spatulas, etc. Lastly, the dryer uses convection heat so no heating element to worry about. I do recommend a rinse aid as it really makes the glasses sparkle. So far I am very happy. This is an exceptional DW, well worth the price tag. I highly recommend.

Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish.

Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used. 2 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 3 so more rinse aid is used.

Water tends to bead rather than sheet of plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry option is selected automatically.

Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes. ^Jennifer LG

The racks feel flimsy but it does a great job. It's very quiet. It's Efficient and I'm very happy with my purchase. It does take a long time to run even the normal cycle but it's worth it because they are really clean. I like that it gets up inside big cups . My last dishwasher never seemed to fully clean our stainless steel cups.

This dishwasher is very quiet and does a great job cleaning the dishes. I do like the 3rd rack for the small things and silverware. The LG YouTube videos are great for getting to know the features of your new machine. I really like the the dark stainless steel door. It looks great in our kitchen. Now my cat has a different opinion. Since it is reflective he is sure there is a new cat in the house!

This is the first time we went for a dishwasher that wasn't simply just about the cheapest from a known name. We did save money accepting white over black, the color I guess everyone wants now, and using Best Buy points, but there are expensive features we have never considered before on this machine. Wow, are they worth it! The all-stainless steel interior, the 3rd shelf, the programmable cycle variations, and the relative SILENCE are astounding, but noteworthy primarily because it cleans so well. The manual also includes detailed instructions for long-term maintenance, a big plus; we don't want to be shopping again for a new one in a few years.

We were running into issues with the frigidaire washer that was left from the previous homeowners and this was such a noticible upgrade from the old 2016 appliance. Its relatively quiet, the stainless steel interior makes it so easy to tell when its clean. The other reviews about it not really drying are unfortunately accurate and it has a super long runtime with the “extra dry” setting that doesnt really do anything. But my dishes are clean and I am happy so its not a bad tradeoff to just leave the door cracked for a little while after a cycle to let it air dry a little.

What a delight I. I don’t rinse my dishes as that was suggested by manufacturer, only take off any food remaining on the plate. I regularly load my washer and delay the start for around 6 hours. Usually set for 3 am, doesn’t keep me up since it runs very quietly. As I start my breakfast around 7 am, I open the Dw door and take out my dry and spotless dishes. I’m actually enjoying this. Good choice. Ps also has third pull out rack at the top to accommodate utensils.

Our brand new Bosch dishwasher started malfunctioning within a week and a replacement was not in stock. Best Buy suggested this model as an option that was available. I could not be happier with the recommendation!!! Runs great. Quiet. The upper rack fits our silverware better than our last 2 dishwashers and they come out very clean with no pre-rinsing. The tines fit out bowls well and the adjustable middle rack has worked for all size dishes as needed. The stainless steel housing is nice quality. I also appreciate the countdown timer on the outside so I know when it is done washing.

Love my new dishwasher! It's quiet, like the chimes to let me know it's turned on or off and my grandson enjoys the little song played when the wash cycle has ended. I haven’t used any of the settings except for full load and the extra drying yet. The reason for the 4 stars is because I feel, with a 3rd rack for utensils, the utensil basket needs to come in 2 parts. With a full load, a half-sized basket would be great for the cooking utensils that can be placed on the top rack and still have a little extra room of not having a full-length utensil basket. For the slightly taller glasses/mugs, it's been nice being able to lower 1 side if the middle basket. Some if the review I read complained about plastic cups still being wet after a cycle but think that's normal for plastic, all my glass & metal items are dry and have never been so clean & spit free. This has been a great purchase & would recommend this dishwasher to anyone looking for a new one. Hopefully the utensil basket will be redesigned in 2 parts and for purchase.

Flat out perfect dishwasher. Easy DIY installation and easy to use. The extra dry function is great for busy cooking and hosting (completely dry dishes). The delay start is our favorite, set for 5am and dont at 7am wakeup. Also, turbo cycle with no extra dry function on washes dishes in just 1hr, with the dish washer stacked. Also, the multi height draws, cutlery draw and anywhere placeable utensil holder is great. One major flaw, the dishwasher is quiet in most aspects, however it contains a very low hum, deep, and depending on the design of your home and kitchen it can resonate significantly. However, compared to the 2000 model plastic dishwasher we had, theres no comparison. I got this on mega sale in bulk price with a expensive stove so its definitely great value for the normal list price regardless.

Does a great job washing. It was relatively easy to install; all the connections are at the front bottom. You will need about 4 feet of electrical wire from the back wall to snake it under the unit to the connection. Note may need more if your box is on the left as the electrical is on the right when facing the dishwasher. The same holds true for the water connection; I used the 6foot braided hose at Home Depot. The filer inside is easy to take out and clean. The unit is quiet enough to turn it on and have a conversation right next to it. I would not think the noise will cause anyone a problem and the next level in decibal reduction is going to come at a premium price. Only con is the cycles are long. A Normal cycle without doing the heated dry is 2 hours 30 minutes; heated dry adds 30 minutes. However, there is a timed on feature so if you run it at night no big deal.

When I ran it for the first time I had to keep checking if it was actually on because it was so quiet. It did a beautiful job on my dishes and I really like the up front controls. The third shelf on the top is a real plus for items that don't fit in silverware basket. The price was good too compared to similar models with the same features.
