Don't Buy an LG dishwasher!!

It has stopped working four times in the four months that I've owned it. LG customer service is terrible. They keep telling me that I must be using cheap detergent (I use Cascade Platinum) or too much of it (I use one pre-measured pod per load). Then they tell me to unplug it so it'll reset the electronics and then to do a 'deep clean", and that this deep clean must be done every 30 days. It took me four phone calls and 47 minutes to try to set up a technician to come repair it, and still all I got was a promise that someone would call within seven days to schedule a visit - after I was told that if the technician didn't find a manufacturing defect, then I would have to pay for the visit. What a miserable experience. On top of all that, it takes 2 hours and 29 minutes just to do a normal wash cycle. I think it's because of all the ridiculous government mandates re water and electricity use.

I've had a Bosch dishwasher at more than twice the price that wasn't this good. The dishes come out spotless and dry. If I had one criticism it would be that when the water drains, its a bit loud, but I can live with that since its short portion of the cycle and works so well otherwise. I like the configuration of the inside, including the top slide out rack for knives and other items. I much prefer having the controls in view for ease of use and never liked the handle sticking out on my old one and on most models. This is perfect

Had bought a Bosch 800 series but when it was installed it turned out to be faulty. We were unable to get a replacement so we bought this LG. Seems to be doing fine and was $500 cheaper.
