My daughter and I are in love with this dishwasher. We had an old dishwasher that was so noisy we couldn’t turn it on when in the in living room trying to watch TV. This new dishwasher is super quiet and does an amazing job with washing and drying the dishes. I did not connect it to my phone, so I cannot comment on that technology. I also love to ability to select the size on the lower rack for dishes. There’s an extra rack at the top for little tops or small items that would fall if they are placed on the regular rack. The filter at the bottom is easy to remove and clean. I would highly recommend this dishwasher.

I feel like this is SO close to being 5 stars. It's a high 4 star. It pays off on a lot of the promises. Getting MOST (an occasional pot or pan with some stubborn melted cheese or something of the kind can sometimes struggle) dishes VERY clean in one pass. It's very quiet. The controls are great. But it feels like tiny things here and there keep it from being 5 stars. I would give it like 4.7 stars.

The dishwasher has been great. We love the addition of lights to see inside the machine, which was a pleasant surprise. The machine is quiet and does a good job cleaning dishes. Very happy.

So i looked at this init for months. I wanted a wifi controllable lg black stainelss 3 row dishwasher. I wanted it to match my appliances and allow me to control ot all with one app. Now that it was isntalled here is the reality. First the upper drawer for silverware is a game changer. It can be adjusted and moved around so ots near and clean. It keeps solverware out of the way while allowing a deep shiny clean. Then the second level adjusts so you can fit larger mugs or bowls on that level. That leaves the bottom drawer open for plates etc that line up evenly. The init its self is quiet and efficient . It cleans very well and being organized is the ultimate comfort.

    Too bad for GFCI

I wanted to love this machine, it works great, racks are very sturdy and smooth, cleans really well and dries well too. It was actually pretty quiet. The 60 min wash is where its at, but any other option the cycles get long. All dishwashers do now though. The issue for me was it kept tripping my GFCI outlet. Had 2 electricians check things out, breakers, wires and outlet. Put in new GFCI outlet. Problem persisted. Replaced the LG with another same model, same thing started tripping the outlet again. From LG when I asked: "GFI compatibility: LG dishwashers, including the LDTH7972S model, are not recommended to be used with GFI outlets. The brushless DC motor and inverter board in these dishwashers can cause fluctuations in power draw that may trip a GFI." Full text can be found in questions following this link https://www.lg.com/us/dishwashers/lg-ldth7972s-top-control-dishwasher so rather than switching to non GFCI outlet, I went with Bosch. But I really liked the LG ...when it was not tripping the outlet. The other negative for me was the bottom rack has only 4 rows of tines, so smaller plated especially if square are tricky. Great silverware basket especially next to the Bosch. Hard to recommend, but hard not too...

Product's functions are good, very silent and gives good result. Quality of the middle trolley is not good enough, within 2 days, it stopped functioning & technician replaced rollers. Trolley is very light hence roller might malfunction anytime if you don't use trolley gently. I didn't find this issue with my old GE dishwasher.

I love this LG dishwasher and it’s minimalistic look with just remaining time showing while running. You open the door to a lighted and stainless interior. The racks slide so easily and can be adjusted. Even standing in the kitchen, I can hardly hear it running. I love the solid click when I close the door. The best part is my dishes all come out clean and dry. Amazing! My last dishwasher was a Bosch that didn’t know how to clean silverware or dry dishes.

Great item, be aware of building codes

First off, be aware that during installation, you may need an electrician if your house is not up to current codes. That is an extra $300 expense that isn't covered under the installation fee. That aside, this item has performed very well. It is extremely quiet, and does offer a wide array of cleaning cycles. I would always recommend that you set the drying stage to its maximum, in order for the dishes to come out of the dishwasher dry, rather than dripping. Even the second to highest level doesn't dry very well, but the top setting does the job.

    Best Diswasher ever made!!!

If you're on the fence about buying this it's time to make the jump and buy it now. Here's my top 10 Reasons why: #1 Steam cleans, sanitizes, and drys like champ! This hammers through impossible tasks like burnt on lasagna likely because the steam loosens it first. It also uses steam at the end to eliminate spots on glassware. Anyone reviews you read here that said this appliance "doesn't dry" must not be using rinse aid. Rinse aid is cheap and lasts a very long time. It notifies you when it's low. Even on 1 hour mode everything is both crystal clean and bone dry (yes even the plastics). #2 Better than the Bosch 800! It's built better, more reliable, packed with way more features, and it's $500 cheaper! The Bosch has a pop open door but this instead has a fan and a vent which does the same thing but better. I returned the Bosch 800 for this after a month because I hated that it was so boring and the tines were too close together making it hard to fit many of my dishes, pots and pans. Now I have this amazingly ungraded appliance instead. #3 Tub lights. Very bright. Awesome to see your dishes when loading and unloading. Nobody else has this and it's really nice. #3 Hidden front clock. I still don't understand where the light even comes from. You literally can't see it until it comes on. It reminds me of the heads up display hologram on car windshields. I like how you get confirmation it's on and the time left and can see when it's done. #4 The app. if you are techy the app has a ton of extra modes, remote starts, and can send notifications when finished. #5 Endless adjustability A. Best Top 3rd rack in the game by far. The left side drops up and down to fits small cups and more low profile things like butter dishes and ramekins. The right side has a removable cutlery rack that can be used to fit all of the silverware so you can take the big trey out and have much more room. B. All the tines on the 1st and second racks flip up and down and clip in very securely. I read they go up and down to easily on accident and that is not the case. There is always a way to make all the dishes fit perfectly with the endless options. I like they are speed out wider than the Bosch and can fit thicker plates and dishes easier. The Bosch tines were so skinny I was going to have to buy all new plates to make them fit. C. Stemware racks that go up and down when need. #6 highly intelligently designed racks that slide butter smooth with the high end rollers. They have great angles that just work to fit more things comfortably. #7 1 hour mode. It is unbelievable how well it cleans. All the modes are great but if you can save money on power and use less water to be done in an hour why not always use the one hour mode? #8 Total bargain. This is essentially the same dishwasher and the $1800 signature line but this one I think is better because it has the hidden digital clock on front and no LG badging which is great because you can match it with Samsung or any other stainless steel non LG appliances. The only thing that the Signature line has that's "better" is 38DB as opposed to 42DB but this model is already silent. If you can't hear 42 why would you pay extra for 38? Silent is silent. I have OCD and studied all the top models from all the other brands and nobody can hold a candle to this dishwasher. I would pay $2000 for this appliance. #9 Quad wash. It has sprays below the bottom and the second rack so you know that everything is getting more clean than other dishwashers no matter what you put on the bottom level like large cups and salad bowls which would prevent water from reaching the upper levels. #10 Looks! The pocket door is very sleek and high end plus it's lower profile and much better than having a handle sticking out further in your kitchen. Top control are nice and make it perfectly minimalistic. Front controls are ugly and old school IMO. Tips: I made one small upgrade was I bought the LG silverware rack from an older model which splits into 3 separate sections for $18. I now can use the original after a dinner party or only 1 or 2 pieces for added versatility. You can fit those on the middle rack but I usually just use the top 3rd cutlery side to free up the extra room below. If you don't use a lot of silverware very often like me it's very well built but just larger than I typically need.

This Dishwasher is AMAZING! I was going to buy a Bosch, but they were all out of stock and no ETA on when they would be in. The Best Buy Team Member showed me this I said okay although I was sad because I wasn't getting what I thought I really wanted. This Dishwasher is AMAZING my dishes have never been so clean, there is a light so you can actually see them when filling and emptying it the third rack for sliverware is so convient and much easier to unload. I love this buy this you will not regret it.

Very impressive dishwasher. It's got all the bells and whistles for sure. The interior light and steam cycle is why I bought it. The racks are very smooth and sometimes don't stay pulled out when you are loading. The middle rack adjustable height is nice, but the bottom rack is a little tight for full size plates and items. You just have to be cautious of the height of the items on the bottom.

So quiet I thought it hadn’t been turned on. Does a great job of cleaning and drying. The “Dry Boost” is terrific. We’ve only used the “Auto” and “Normal” modes. The results have been so good that we haven’t needed to experiment with other modes or the “Steam” feature. We higly recommend this Model.

This dishwasher does an amazing job of cleaning and drying the dishes. It's also so quiet, we sometimes think we didn't start it!! We linked it to our LG account and get alerts when it's started and completed. We also set a few preferences with the app and downloaded other wash cycles.

Controls are easy to figure out, if you ever had a dishwasher before. The racks are pretty much what I am used to, but the utensil basket is bigger than my last machine, which I really like. This has the third rack at the very top - you can easily miss that it is there. I don't use it much, but it useful for putting in my sponges and my kitchen sink protector (which is really an over the sink rack - my sink is huge and no regular protector is big enough). Best thing is that it is quiet and doesn't disturb us if we are watching tv while eating dinner at the kitchen table.
