    Pump Motor Broke

    The pump motor went out after about 2years. It is covered under warranty however service and labor is not. There are very few service people in my area that are willing to work on an LG dishwasher that is covered under warranty. I reached out to LG for a list of service providers and the closest one is over an hour away and I'm in a metro area, Indianapolis. The one I did find estimates service to cost $400, which is not covered.

    I have tried and tried to make this dishwasher work. I keep going back to reviews and thinking I must be missing something. I am using the rinse aid (which I've never had to do), washing with all the settings for a 4 hour cycle, etc., but I recently washed tupperware 2 times and it still came out with an odd film. I will likely be reaching out to the store to see what the options are. I purchased this due to the shorter delivery date, but I find that I'm not hand washing dishes anyway. Take my advise and wait the extra time for a better machine.

    This LG dish washer is really disappointing after years of enjoying LG TV LG sound bars and washer/dryers. Unfortunately, their Dish Washer and Microwave are less than satisfying. I have to call Best Buy which is excellent in servicing my account. However, after couple visits they ended up replacing a new one, but now the unit has only been 2 weeks, and find out it doesn't dry completely, then it wouldn't even closed tight after 3-4 trial .I guess it s not just bad luck but something wrong on it's design.

    We bought this dishwasher in 2021 and 2 days ago it had a burning smell and it wont work at all. This dishwasher should have lasted longer than a year and a half.

    The flat top 3rd rack makes it so the 2nd rack cannot except tall cups or water bottles. Delay feature is difficult to reset and I do not like the controls being on the top because you have to open dishwasher to set

    The bottom rack lacks arms to hold regular dishes. Great for large pots and pans, terrible for anything other than extra large plates. Doesn't dry worth a you know what.

    Not a good dishwasher

    Since we first got this LG dishwasher, it has had a problem with the door not shutting all the way, even though the machine thinks it is closed! It seems like the door is warped, leaking steam from the top left when it’s running, and the steam has not damaged our cabinet framing. We are really unhappy with this dishwasher, and we would not recommend this to anyone.

    This dishwasher isn't the easiest to use. Also, there aren't very many prongs to use for stacking or putting the dishes in the dishwasher. It is always running in the morning when I get up.

    1st week it works perfectly. But after that the door is not closing completely and water is leaking or steam is coming put during using. So disappointed. The store return policy is just 15 days!!! And I have to contact the LG service center. It makes so much trouble to just fix this issue. I'll be using other store to purchase electronic devices with better customer service and less trouble.

    I really hate the brackets in this machine. They will not stay in position! Drying is iffy..somedays the dishes are dry, somedays dripping. Same cycle.

    Its normal cycle takes 2.5 hours! You have to routinely clean its filter. I never cleaned a dw filter in my life. I hate this machine.

    Not satisfied, doesn’t dry the dishes and out on heat and it doesn’t appear to get hot to dry the dishes. There’s still water on them when I open it.

    Cheap display

    Had this dishwasher installed less than 6 months ago by geek squad. 2 months in i noticed a crack on the display. It got worse over the next 4 months. I did nothing to cause this crack but open and close the dishwasher. Went into best buy to see if they cover it with the warranty, they told me i have to contact L.G. becuase i didn't purchase geek squad protection.

    Washing Dishes In The Sink

    Has an irritating hum after completing a wash cycle while it is drying the dishes. Lasts for well over an hour. Dishes generally aren't dry. Often 'completes' a cycle without even emptying the soap. Have had it 28 days and would like to return but BB said it isn't returnable. It is stated as 46db - louder than that. Absolutely not recommended. Replaced a Bosch and should have gotten another Bosch.

    Heating Element dead in less than 2 years.

    A lot of dishes don't fit properly without taking up the whole drawer. The dividers don't stay locked in place and a flimsy. To top it all off, right at the 2 year mark, the heating element went out.

    Bought this washer in May and by August the soap dispenser cover came off due to a ripped rubber gasket that keeps it tight to the door. Called LG several times to just have them mail me the cover/gasket and I would even install it but it isn't covered by the warranty. Looks like the motor is covered for 10 years but that's it - nothing else. Why would anyone buy anything from LG? I sure won't in the future.
