It is March 2020 and we have only had this dishwasher since September 2017 (2 1/2 years). After the three months, we had to have the main computer board replaced. After that the dishwasher would randomly not turn on, so we were advised we had to turn off and then on the circuit breaker the dishwasher was on to get it to work again. Finally, the heating element went out and we were told told the motor would need to be replaced (since the HE is part of the motor). LG is not honoring the 10 year motor warranty that is plastered on the outside of the dishwasher. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DISHWASHER!!!!!!!!

first repair, after 6 months, mother board but under warranty. Second repair, 18 months in, slowly start not to complete full cycle, so dishes remain dirty and now, less then 2 years after purchase, variable motor is defective and not under warranty. will call repair man but chances are it won't worth the cost (400-600$). Also bought an LG fridge, washer and dryer and had or having issues with fridge (fixed) and washing machine (smells really bad, all the time even after tub cleaning cycle). No moreLG products for us.

Bought this dishwasher in October 2017. It cleans dishes really well. Better than our Bosch did. But it has been a nightmare to keep it working. We have had the control board replaced, the soap dispenser cracked and replaced, the variable motor has gone out twice (waiting on the 3rd one), one rack rusted out and was replaced and we are on our second button panel which is once again starting to crack after only a few months. This is absolutely ridiculous! For a dishwasher not even 3 years old (control board and soap dispenser had to be replaced within first year). Variable motors are only lasting 6 months at a time now. We bought an LG package and have had issues with all 4 appliances but the dishwasher has been the worst which is sad because when it works it is really good.

We purchased this dishwasher because it was rated very high. And we loved it for a few years. But anfter about three years and control panel started cracking. Then the racks started rusting. Now the motor is going out. We can’t have anyone come out because the serial number came off and we didn’t realize that that was the ONLY place the serial number existed. I called LG and they couldn’t do anything without a serial number. Very very disappointed in their product and customer service. We’re waiting for it to die completely before we purchase a new one. In the mean time I’m looking at reviews and LG keeps coming up as one of the best. Maybe we got a lemon? Bummer because it wasn’t cheap.

Had this dishwasher less than 4 yrs and had to replace because the motor went bad. No more LG's for me. i took great care to clean the filter etc and it still only lasted a few years...guess they don't make the like they use too.
