Slightly unexpected, but the wife thinks the dishwasher is the perfect compromise of sound proofing - allowing her to hear it run but not so loud that it is annoying in the great room.

So my wife loves the dishwasher. She loves the lower rack and the different capabilities it provides. The top rack is a little weird as there isn’t a lot of tangible uses for it, but it does work nicely for larger utensils. Even though we don’t have a water softener, there have not been any water spots, which was not the case with our other dishwasher. Overall I can recommend this for now. However, it has only been a couple of months and these things usually won’t have many issues for several months yet.

This is definitely quiet. It smells funny when you open it if the dishes have been in there for more than an hour before you run it. I usually like to load it throughout the day and run it at night and by then every time I open the dishwasher smells. This hasn’t happened with any of my previous dishwashers.

Really love it for the quiet. With our old dishwasher we had too much noise when running. Now I check sometimes to make sure I turned it on. Also love the little song it plays when finished.

New install was great techs were very explanatory of new setup. Has orange color under wash blades and reflection looks like rust but is just a color. Manufacturers should think of these things so you do not think new appliance is a defect. Works great overall great product. Only reason for 4 stars is the orange in the drum

    Disappointed purchase w/ this dishwasher

When this dishwasher was first introduced to me, I was really excited about the top rack for knives, chopsticks, and etc and the middle racks shifting up and down, but don’t let that fool you. The very first rack never gets dry even with the extra dry options. The shifting of the rack, I used it once. The dishwasher doesn’t clean well too. I would need to rinse before putting into it. One last thing, the dispenser for the detergent is so cheap, I’m sure that will be the first to break. If I have to choice again, I go with another well known brand.

We hate to see you are having trouble getting your dishes clean with your dishwasher. You can troubleshoot this from the following help library article: http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000009-20150326688735-not-cleaning This dishwasher does not rely on a heating element for the drying process; instead, it relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out. Rinse aid is strongly recommended to enhance the drying performance of the dishwasher. In order to be more energy efficient, the hybrid drying system does not use a heating element to assist in drying, so a rinse aid plays an integral role in the drying process. If a rinse aid is not used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. Rinse aid helps to ensure that the majority of the water has been sheeted off of the dishes at the end of the rinse and that the load is ready for the dry cycle. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used. 2 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 3 so more rinse aid is used.Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish. Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes. The dishwasher should be connected to a hot water supply with a temperature range between 120 °F (49°C) and 149 °F (65 °C). This temperature range provides the best washing results and shortest cycle time. To prevent damage to dishes, the temperature should not exceed 149 °F (65 °C). Check to make sure that your water heater is set accordingly. I bought this dishwasher a couple months ago and being single, I don't use it very often, twice to be exact and both time the dishes were still very wet after the drying cycle and the inside of the tub stays wet constantly so I have to leave the door ajar. So far I'm not impressed.

This dish washer is simply OK. The inide divider rails are a bit flimsy and 1 has broken off within the first month of purchse. Also the touch buttons are a bit sensitive, i think i may have actually messed them up by closing the door. I do not recommend this for a home that ait will get ALOT of use from.

We liked the dishwasher, but it does leave water on the dishes when done...not a big deal for me...I just open it and wipe off all the cups or bowls that have water on them. Everything comes out clean all the time. I can hear it just a little if I am in the kitchen. Not sure why, but I don't seem to get all the dishes into it that I did on my older Bosch.

Just what we needed. It has a very minimalistic design with no handles that stick out. The buttons on top are touch sensitive which means I don’t have to worry about the computer drying due to spillage

It is March 2020 and we have only had this dishwasher since September 2017 (2 1/2 years). After the three months, we had to have the main computer board replaced. After that the dishwasher would randomly not turn on, so we were advised we had to turn off and then on the circuit breaker the dishwasher was on to get it to work again. Finally, the heating element went out and we were told told the motor would need to be replaced (since the HE is part of the motor). LG is not honoring the 10 year motor warranty that is plastered on the outside of the dishwasher. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DISHWASHER!!!!!!!!
