Seems to get dishes wet...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had this dishwasher for a few weeks and ended up returning it for one that has a heating element to actually dry the dishes. We've moved around quite a bit and have had experience with numerous dishwashers over the past few years. I'm not sure why so many people like this dishwasher. There's nothing about it that is impressive, especially compared to pretty much anything else in this price range. The LG approach to "drying" seems like a weird joke. Their own website has videos on how to "improve the drying of your dishes" with recommendations like "washing overnight" and then cracking the dishwasher open at the end to "aid the evaporative drying" while you sleep. One model even has a little "stick" that will automatically crack the door open for you. Maybe if it cleaned dishes exceptionally well the wet dishes every morning would be bearable. But it doesn't seem to do anything special there... we've had to rewash cups and silverware several times. We checked all the filters, added the rinse aid, etc. I'd look at some other dishwasher if I were you.

thought spending more meant better product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before you head out this "Black Friday' please check out this review. My wife and I bought a new kitchen set, we had our heart set on Samsung but were talked into buying LG. Gas stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING BUT THE DISHWASHER! We upgraded the dishwasher because we got a better deal and now we know why...it takes about 3 hours to do the dishes and it does not dry them very well. We put the normal dishes on the bottom rack and tupperware storage containers on the top rack and the tupperware is NEVER dry at the end of the cycle. We have to pull out the tupperware out of the machine and either dry them by hand or set them out on a drying pad. I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this LG dishwasher with 3 racks. The top rack is great for long flat items I cook with and small prep plates. The washing options are great and the WiFi interface tells me when the dishes are dry. The LG has an overnight dry feature that circulates air so that the dishes stay dry.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased November 2019 problems with control panel began weeks later. Buttons do not work, touch panel not sealed against water intrusion, does not fit flush with counter top where 2 other had. Once a month or more have to make the power spark to reset and use unit. Found that out on an Internet search. Today, 5July2020, I have tried everything i know to make it work. No response from touch panel and the everything lights up and blinks error codes. Only reason I have kept it is I waited past the return date. Really wish I had returned it. As a result, I will NOT purchase anything LG EVER. This is a known problem LG should have recalled the dishwasher over. Only goof thing was I got it half off. Should have bought the cheap GE elsewhere (nothing against Best Buy except cheaper).

Not worth the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing this review 3 1/2 years into owning it. I would say it is not terribly good at cleaning dishes. I essentially have to "pre-rinse" to the point that I cannot leave any food or drink residue on dishes etc at all. The dishwasher is really used more as a dish sanitizer at this point. Might as well just finish the job myself. Also, those little "finger like spikes" on the top tray that you can use to hold knives etc... they just start breaking off little by little after a short time, Making them essentially useless.

Not a good dishwasher, broken after 3 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought LG is a great brand. Purchased package including a fridge and a range. After 3 years now, the dishwasher is having issues. Stopping at mid cycle, giving different error messages each time and you need to have an encyclopedia available to figure out what they mean, the touch panel is difficult to use as well. There are combo buttons, very confusing. Used diagnostics on LG ThinQ app; says all is normal. Go figure it out. Not sure if 10 year warranty mentioned on a sticker on the front door covers this issue. If not, most likely the repair would be more than half of its price. Need to get a new dishwasher after 3 years, can’t believe this.

Expensive trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in 2018, paid way more than i ever have for a dishwasher and this thing has been a constant problem, from constantly needing to be reset by turning off the breaker to weird errors that translate to nothing. I follow all instructions on the support page each time but it all leads to the same thing turn off the breaker for a minute then it works for maybe a week or two. Now the machine is leaking from the door panel. The drain is not clogged and the line is clear. Never again

Broke after 2 months of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dishwasher from Best Buy and had it installed October 3, 2017 with expectations of getting at least 7 years out of it. But after two months of use the buttons stopped working and I can no longer use the dishwasher. On top of that, the part to fix the dishwasher is on back order for more than 2 weeks and now i'm left with a $750 black box in my kitchen that doesn't do anything. I had a Bosch before this one, which cost almost half as much and ran great for 7+ years with no problems. On top of that, the Bosch washed the dishes better than this over priced broken dishwasher. If I can, I"m going to try an exchange this broken dishwasher for a Bosch and never consider buying anything else but a Bosch again.

There Should Be A Recall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasn't been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didn't know why but there has been a "Service Bulletin" released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LG's defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

Everything Stops after the one year warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When we built our home we purchased the complete matching series of LG appliances, and it's only been right at 3 years. The first thing to go out was the board and the latch on this dishwasher, and luckily they will cover the board, but not the latch. Now the LG fridge has gone out, and it's questionable if anything will be covered.

Quiet???????? Not!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the reason we purchased this dishwasher was because of the noise rating. Also, many reviews mentioned that it was almost silent and some users were not even sure that it was running because it was so quiet. That has not been our experience. It was quiet for the first few washes. Now, it sounds like the fan on a computer when the computer is too hot and the fan is revving. It also does not clean as well as I think it should. One place in the manual says to just scrape the dishes, and not to rinse them. When I do that, debris is left on the dishes, glasses and utensils. Another place in the manual says rinse the dishes. I get the same result. Frustrated and disappointed.

Control board failure, LG ghosted me on repair
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Control board failed a week or two outside warranty. Also the serial number sticker by the door steamed and peeled off (terrible placement on edge of door) which all the agents knew and said didn't matter and it could still be repaired. LG offered a complimentary warranty extension since it failed right outside the window. The repair person from National Platinum Service came and said he was ordering the control board. Then I never heard back to schedule the repair and NPS didn't return voicemails. I finally get in contact with them and they say they won't repair because the sticker is missing and LG should have notified me. They didn't, actually LG was texting me to ask how my repair was going. When I call LG back they said warranty is voided by a missing sticker. Why didn't they tell me this the first time I called? I waited months with a broken dishwasher thinking they were fixing it. What kind of company promises a repair, sends a technician out, tells you they are ordering a part, and then just ghosts you? We have five people in our family and depend on our dishwasher. $630 repair out of pocket. Took it to the dump and bought a Bosch.

GARBAGE - DO NOT BUY!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broke after 5 weeks and wouldn't start. It's been broken now for longer than it worked. I wish I could leave negative starts and go back in time to not buy this. Buy any other brand. . LG sent out a guy who identified that it was a circuit board that stopped working after 5 weeks. No one at LG could determine which part it actually is and there has been a "part search on it" for about 3 weeks now. I was told that in 3 days, they would contact me about whether or not they are going to replace the dishwasher (which means they will actually start trying to figure out which part it is now).
