Features, size, and price were pretty much unbeatable. The operating noise is great, and the dual ice makers were really handy. At the 9-month mark the freezer fan stopped working, and cooling to the entire unit stopped as well. The warranty service process with LG was a non-stop nightmare. Service would not be scheduled, I had to follow-up daily for weeks to move that forward at all. When I finally found a sympathetic ear I was told the minimum wait time to refund/replace the fridge was 30 days, and food loss coverage tops out at $200. None of this makes sense, and the broken fridge cost me hundreds of dollars in lost food, ice to keep a small amount of food in my home during the warranty process, and I couldn't even count the lost wages in time I had to take off work. If you get a good LG, they're pretty darn nice. If you don't, the warranty process is downright awful.
