    Bought this refrigerator based on its 5 year sealed system warranty and 10 year compressor warranty. You would think this means that they would last a long time? NOPE. Less then 3 years in and LG will only honor parts warranty. Labor I am on my own and its $500 to replace the compressor. Just spent 210$ to fix a control board on an LG dryer last year. Lesson learned, do not buy LG.

    Disappointing

    It is big. Best thing about it. But small ice maker runs out of ice even on super ice setting if you use a lot of it. With company over and using a lot of ice you will not have enough. There is no cold cut drawer. Finger prints and stains on exterior are horrible. And the ice and water dispenser is so poorly designed it is amazing someone could come up with it? It is a hard silver set of dispensers. They scratch extremely easy so they already look beat up and the water dispenser is just plain awkward. My water shoots out on an angle and anyone besides us that uses it sprays water on the floor and themselves. Cheap price for a big fridge but I wish I could go back and redo my purchase. Would definitely get something else.

    Issues eith ice maker

    Would not buy again. The refrigerator is nice and the freezer has a lot of space. The biggest issue is the ice maker. There are times when it does not make ice even when the ice plus is on. LG has tried to troubleshoot the problem. The ice maker is temper mental.

    Bought this fridge June of 2018. Was told by Pacific Sales it would last up to 20 years, minimum 13 years. Monday I woke up to a puddle of water under our fridge. Come to find our there was a class action lawsuit against this specific model due to a faulty compressor. I bought an extended 3 year warranty which is useless because the compressor failed after 4 years. Our newest appliance is now worthless not to mention the hundreds of dollars we lost in food. Geek Squad set us up with an appt to what we were told would replace the compressor. My husband took a day off work just for them to show up and say "yup, it's the compressor." Geek Squad told us the company would show up with the compressor to replace for $100, nope! $100 just to tell us that it is the compressor (we already knew it was). The compressor would take another 7-9 business days and would cost upwards of $750 to repair with only a 1 yr warranty! What a joke.

    BUY IF YOU WANT BROKEN COMPRESSOR EVERY YEAR

    Bought this in May 2018. Starting 2020, it started randomly leaking water from the freezer. A technician came to clear out the icing inside - the flooring underneath got all messed up. In March 2021, the freezer randomly stopped freezing. Technician came over and said this happens ALL the time with LG fridges, and that the Linear Compressors are notoriously short-lived (average life span is 1-2 years), which is why LG offers 5 year manufacturer's warranty on them. This whole operation takes at least a week from contacting LG to getting a technician to come with a compressor. What do you do with all your frozen items in the meanwhile? Maybe you have a second fridge in your home - I don't, so I need to give this food away. Most of it already went bad. Long story short, I don't want to live in constant fear that my freezer can constantly stop every other year. I don't think most people would either, so I don't recommend this unit to anyone. I will not be buying any LG refrigerators again, and am already thinking of selling this unit.

    Broken after two years

    I’ve had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. The compressor went out and all my food has to be thrown away. The repair is scheduled for 5 days after is has broken. I asked them to prioritize me as it’s leaking water all over my floors and they did not move the apt. I will never buy another LG product. Extremely disappointed.

    Freezer and Fridge suddenly started having trouble cooling to the point the freezer was less cold than the fridge and eventually both sides were barely cooling at all. Went through all troubleshooting steps to no avail. Contacted LG and the unit was still under warranty but they have no technicians to send to our area so gave us some "certified repair partners" to call in the area. Called multiple only to have them tell us they don't work on LG as they refuse to reimburse them for work. The one place that said they would do the repair said it would have to be paid out of pocket and was quoted a price that exceeded what it would cost to buy a whole new fridge all together. So we were forced to throw away a ton of food and buy an all new refrigerator.

    Worked Great for Two Years, Then Nada

    Please do not buy this. After two years the frig's seal system and compressor are bad. Called the LG support for a couple of days now and they can't get a schedule for me on the $375 repair I need to pay. They gave me two numbers of people to call who never picked up. Done with LG on this...

    Once again appliances from S Korea seem to be produced with defects and poor engineering. The LG side by side last only 3 years before it died. Word of warning ALWAYS buy extended warranties when buying any appliance from SKorean made comppanies.

    Bought unit 3 years ago and already Needs replaced

    Night the unit 3 years ago and compressor already failed. We maintain the fridge well but to no avail. 850.00 for a new compressor. We are not feeling great about spending this money thinking it will probably break down in 3 years again. The repair guy said they are notorious for breaking down.

    The compressor went out almost 4 years to the day since I purchased it. Woke up to a freezer full of thawed out food and water all over the floor. My last fridge was a GE and it lasted longer than this junk.

    SO NOISY !!!!

    The first unit we got vibrated and hummed so bad we asked for another one . The second one at first didn't seem as bad but now seems just as bad. The refrigerator has a low resonating hum that can be heard through the whole house at night . If you don't have everything just right like soda cans they start to vibrate against one another. The shelves even vibrate at times. I have it perfectly level no help.It actually is a little quieter if the left side is a little lower but still VERY loud . The ice maker quit working after just 2 months, it was replaced under warranty. Our 15 year old Samsung never made half the noise this thing makes. My first and last LG purchase !

    Don't bother - Failed after a year

    The unit failed. The fridge hasn't worked properly in 2 months and we've had to use the freezer as a fridge. We purchased an extended warranty and after several appointments and missed days from work, we're still without a working fridge. You've been warned.

    let me start by saying I am happy with my purchase, this LG is a great buy. its got all I was looking for. I originally bought Frigidaire FGHS2631PF, had few issues with it, not dispensing cold water, ice maker was making lots of noise, compressor was not as much as quit as LG, drawers were not smooth, and it was making hissing noise every once in a while, so I decided to replace it with this wonderful LG. its just perfect. no complain. very happy. looks good, quite, separate ice and water dispenser is a plus, no more pushing buttons between ice and water, ease. hope you find this useful. Thank you.

    only 2 years old and the compressor went out and customer service just put me off for 5 days and have been on hold now for over an hour. They will replace the parts if I can get someone on customer service to answer the phone. 1200 dollars for two year of service is not a good buy and custormer service is none existent.
