    Ice Maker Problem with this model

    Really like this fridge but it has one fatal flaw (at least in our experience) - the ice maker seizes up. our unit is less than 2 years old (purchased Jan'18, started having trouble Nov'19). by manually resetting the ice maker it starts working again (requires pushing a paper clip into a tiny hole inside the ice box), but now we have to do this almost daily (frequency has gradually increased). i've reached out to LG, i'm hoping they stand behind their product, in reading others' reviews, this should be a known problem for them.

    love this refrigerator but it has a weird noise that is very annoying, I have no experienced this problem with other refrigerators.

    I thought I would like the smaller door for quick access to drinks but it makes the door so very think and you lose room for condiments and other items you typically would store on the door.

    Looks nice , cool drink door , but loud whining noise when Ice maker pushes ice through and it last for a bit . It’s annoying. If we would of known . NEVER would of bought this fridge. The noise is not ignorable at all !!!! Im very upset this is already our 3rd (same) fridge (new) it came broke and dented and scratched 2 x this is the 3 rd delivery yesterday actually . So that the only reason why we kept it .

    The door with the ice and water dispenser is heavy and slams easily rattling everything inside. The selection buttons don’t change from water to ice easily and several times I go to push for water thinking I switched it and ice comes out. I definitely would not buy this model again.

    Now I want to start off saying it is a great design! But unfortunately the fridge thermostat is off by quite a bit the water quit working only the ice works the refrigerator will freeze up at 37 degrees Fahrenheit If for all the people that maybe just looking I would highly recommend going with a different brand

    There could be better lighting inside the refrigerator. Refrigerator runs more than off time. It is noisy while running and makes rattling sounds inside stored goods.

    Bad horrible experience when it was delivered it got dented scratched and even scratched and dented my chins cabinet Best Buy needs to address these kind of mistakes I paid a lot of money for this fridge and didn’t want a scratch and dent item ...,,, this has been addressed but it was a bad experience and big hassle

    The ice maker on this unit went bad pretty quickly and required manual intervention (thawing the water line) about once a month for most of the time I've owned it. Also, after about 3 years the compressor has gone bad. In the article about the related class-action lawsuit, LG claims they cover this at no expense to the customer. We'll see how true that is.

    Freezing up and nothing helps, don't buy

    Purchased brand new barely a year ago and it freezes up almost daily. Made sure air flow vents aren't blocked, per instructions, and still freezing up. Set on 46 degrees- highest temp available.... still froze up. Don't waste your money!

    Overall, fridge is okay. Lighting on bottom shelves is poor. Bottom shelf of door is awful. You have to bend all the way down to see what is on it.

    Bought the LG refrigerator based on Consumer Reports recommendation and recommendation of a coworker. Waited 3 weeks for it. Delivered yesterday. Thru the door water doesn’t work. Really???? Hope it’s not an omen of things to come. A replacement is to be delivered Monday.

    The refrigerator is flawed the stainless steel finish doesn’t allow for proper cleaning of fingerprints. Even using the canned of stainless steel cleaner that they recommended still left areas that need to be buffed out just for normal fingerprints

    Loved it for 2 years before the compressor died and it stopped cooling. Got it fixed and now 2 years later the same part has stopped working. This fridge is part of a class action lawsuit with LG. I will never buy an LG appliance again.

    The first refrigerator delivered turned up broken, so we had to go through the whole deliver hassle a second time. Then replacement refrigerator after a couple of weeks, the icemaker GOES OUT! Now, we are not sure how long it is going to take to "order the part" and get our icemaker working again. Very disappointing.

    Since I got this Refrigerator purchased it has been nothing but frustrating. Both the store and the manufacturer have sent repairmen out. One even changed a part out but it is still so loud you hear it running a few rooms away. They say it can not be leveled so if looks are important to you, stay away. If you don't want your brand new refrigerator sounding like it is 20+ years old, stay away. So disappointed in this purchase. We were planning on changing our dishwasher and stove with LG. That ain't happening. So sad.

    Compressor broke after 10 months; less than. 2 months later the evaporator broke—took 8 days to get repairman—then parts ordered but only part were sent. After 3 weeks still do not have refrigerator that works and no idea when it will or if it will be fixed.

    Junk. Beware of 10 year compressor warranty

    3 years old, the compressor went out. Has a 10-year compressor warranty, part only. It will cost you big bucks to have it installed. Also, if you have a third party warranty (Choice Home Warranty) Choice will not cover the cost of labor due to the fact it is under warranty from LG.
