We initially we were concerned about features and this had them all. Ice dispenser on the door, water on door, and extra door for frequently us items was a plus. The design allowed us to put more items in the freezer and kept condensation from building up. Lastly was pleasantly surprise to find out customer service can monitor what's going on inside with cell phone.

We love this fridge. We love the door in door feature, and that the kids have their own snack space. The slim fit ice maker is great and the stainless steel is very appealing. The only downside is the door in door doesn’t close all the way sometimes, and the door alarm doesn’t go off if it’s almost shut. You’ll have to watch for that

Our main attraction to this refrigerator was the "hatch" door on the front of the main door. We put frequently used items in that compartment so we don't have to open the entire refrigerator door to take out those items. I am not sure if it will save on electricity but it would be logical if it did. When the entire door is opened to search for items that are frequently used a lot of the cool air escapes and then has to refrigerator. Because a much smaller, separate, compartment in the front of the refrigerator is opened there is much less room for cool air to escape making it logical that less air needs refrigeration thus less energy is required. While this is not a major issue for us because we have 45 PV panels, and a separate solar hot water system on our roof, any time we can lose less energy is a victory over those that control the cost of the fuel that makes the energy. That has been a goal of ours for years and now we are there and it feels great, no electric bill, and with 2 electric cars no gasoline bills either. We have enough electricity left over that we are installing split A/C in certain commonly used rooms (like our bedroom) to use only very selectively. Haven't had a chance to see what that does to our electric bill so we will be able to report on that with our next electricity statement.

We switched to the side by side model after having a French door- bottom freezer model for many years. We were a little worried that we wouldn't have as much room. That is no longer a thought. Very spacious and we love the door in door feature. It's also nice that the ice and water have separate lines and dispensing area. No more mess or issues with getting ice when you want water. The black stainless is very attractive.

We really enjoy our new LG refrigerator. It is very spacious: both in the refrigerator section and in the freezer. The side-by-side doors are great and it helps with organizing and access of all the food inside. The quick access door holds a lot and the through the door ice maker and water work great.

Runs very quiet, we love the door in door future which makes it very easy to grab most used products without letting a lot of cold air escape. Very roomy and well organized as is the freezer side. We would highly recommend to others and the LG is a huge improvement over the Samsung which was replaced.

So far so good. We have had the fridge for about a month now and we like it. As others have stated, the water and ice dispensers could be designed better... I have banned my kids from using them because it makes such a mess when they do. Overall we are happy. There is plenty of space. It feels larger than our old fridge despite the fact that it is smaller. I don’t like that it doesn’t tell you the actual temperature inside the fridge in freezer but instead the temperature it should be. I think that is a major flaw but it’s the only side by side fridge that fit our area so it is what it is, we’ve put in our own thermometers so we know if problems crop up. The door in door feature is cool and I like it more than I expected to. We also had a very positive experience with the geek squad guys that delivered this and removed our old machine. We totally recommend using them for fridge installs.

Be ready for a few compromises with this product. 1) LG customer service is terrible. They say they have 24-7 support, but they do not. If something breaks a tech will only come out on a weekday. Invest in GeekSquad...2) Shelves are spaced a little differently. So fitting taller items can be challenging. Being this is a Korean product the shelves must be spaced for products from their market. 3) The showcase door is nice to get easy access to drinks, but the inner cover prevents you from getting things from the inside easily. 4) If you love hanging things on your fridge with magnets, move on to a different product. My wife had to resort to scotch tape...lol. Instead of saying all the great things about this product, I want you to know the cons first as they'll tell you immediately if this is the right fit for your home and kitchen. Oh by the way, still trying to figure out the best place to put our eggs, but my family loves this fridge.

This refrigerator exceeds expectations! Very classy look and plenty of storage space.. with this model, ice maker is actually in the freezer vs 3-door models where the ice maker is in the refrigerator! Door in door is very convenient. Well designed. Extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this refrigerator to others!

Extremely quiet machine.....layout of refrigerator is awesome. Love the quick open door for drinks, etc. Ice maker is a bit loud but creates ice quickly. So far, my favorite refrigerator I have purchased and unfortunately I have purchased many as nothing is built to last anymore. Will update if things change.

Great quality refrigerator we looked at a lot of refrigerators and this one was the one we wanted and I’m glad we bought it we love it. It has more storage than our maytag side by side we used to have and we really like the ice maker and the extra door

I purchased my refrigerator a month ago and love it. It is very spacious and accomadates all I need. I love the door in door feature because you can access beverages or snacks without opening the main part. The ice maker is great and provides plenty of ice. Everybody loves the stainless steel look. So far so good.

I’m in love with this refrigerator now that the chemical smell is gone! It took 2-3 MONTHS for the strong plastic smell and taste to go away whenever I’d open the freezer or get water from the door. We researched the filter, reinserted it a million times and flushed gallons of water out. I did call Best Buy and they were scheduled to come look at it but they never came, when I checked online it said they came?? and when I called I was put on hold for a while so I just forgot about it. Thankfully no issue with smell or taste anymore. I love the door in a door feature it’s perfect and keeps everything organized. Icebox is big if you ever need a bunch to fill a pitcher. So much space and bottom drawers are huge for produce

First, awesome sales staff (Kathy)! This side-by-side fridge was an open box item and had a one-inch scratch, but since we only use it for our extra basement fridge, it was the perfect purchase. The door-in-door easy access is a great features especially if we want to grab a bottle of water/soda as we leave. Lots of space on both sides; works very well. Very quiet too!

I like the space inside and out and the small door on the outside is very convenient for reaching and grabbing water or other stuff , I like the icemaker and the fact that it makes a lot of ice in the water comes out good and the filter has easy access ...

So far I am loving this model. It has only two flaws: quick reach door takes a firm push to close & doesn't have an alarm and there's no deli drawer. Love the convince & size of the quick reach aspect, ice maker on freezer door & tons of space. Temps are perfect and operation is quiet. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Not sure if it is the ice maker or compressor, but it is loud. If I had heard this sound at the store, I may not have purchased. Very spacious. Door in door feature is handy. Overall, I like it.

Love this fridge, I did not want one with a freezer on the bottom because I felt like my kids would lean on it and break it.(I noticed on most make and models the wheels and track are made of plastic) I do love the door in door for condiments and larger items. I didn’t think I liked the side by side style but doesn’t bother me at all. Also, on the fridge alone After INSTANT rebate ( not mail in rebate) this fridge was around $1300. So very pleased with that.

The only thing so far that I don't like is that you have to be very careful about the little door so that is closes all the way. Very roomy which is a very nice feature. The water is nice and cold and the ice maker is nice.

This Refrigerator has some great features, including the small quick access door, large, deep shelves and the ice maker in the freezer door. That provides more freezer space. The small door allows you to quickly grab items, without needing to open the large door. That keeps more cold air in and saves energy.
