We have had this fridge for about a month and it's wonderful. Fits so much stuff, shelves can be adjusted as needed. Crushed ice is almost shaved ice. The water feature is quick to fill up the coffee pot. We love the small door to store drinks.

I bought this refrigerator sight unseen and it exceeded my expectations! We had to have the door-in-door after having one overseas. It is so great for the kid’s drinks and snacks. My husband always uses the in-door water and ice dispenser so we were looking for that option too. Also, my research told me that ice/water dispensers do better when they are in “side-by sides” (when it’s on the freezer side) as opposed to the bottom-drawer style where it’s in the refrigerator portion (they say it doesn’t stay cold enough for the ice). I was so surprised and happy at how deep it was too. It barely fit into our space, but even though it sticks out a little bit, it’s worth it to have the depth. The only thing I would have liked is a small third drawer (where we had become accustomed to putting our meats and cheeses). I will just have to combine the fruits and vegetables so there will be an open drawer! This model checks all the boxes!

This refrigerator is very spacious and love the mini door that can be opened for easy access to everyday items. The dark color is pretty finger print resistant. water still has a weird taste to it after letting it run for a while but hopefully it will phase out with time.

Went shopping for a new refrigerator and came across this one. Black stainless not only looks great and with 3 small children leaves no hand prints like traditional stainless. The door in door is a feature I didnt understand and now I can't live without. More interior space than normal side by side as well. No brainer love this refrigerator.

Sleek Design Overall, But Water Disp. Oddly Placed

This LG model is super sleek looking (especially in the black stainless finish)! Functionally, there is just one item worth noting... The water dispenser is positioned oddly: at the very front of the dispensing station separate from where the ice dispenses. You realize quickly where you need to position your cup and it's not so much an issue as it is just a surprise when the water hits the floor and not in your cup on the first use. Also, it requires the individual to use two hands, rather than one (one to hold the cup, and the other to push button to dispense the water). Ideally, would rather this model have utilized the single-handed method where you push the cup against the trigger to dispense the water. Otherwise, this refrigerator has met all of our needs and it's really a beautiful appliance.

The fridge has many compartment and sometimes don’t know where to put food. Has very unique compartment to put your daily needs and don’t have to open the whole fridge. More room in the freezer and the ice maker is not on the way. Very convenient and easy access.

Main requirement was a good ice maker (which ruled out French door style fridges) and this one is working great so far. Fridge is nice and large, bright inside and sub door helps get the common items. Only downside I see is the inability to move shelves around.

I completely pleased with our new LG refrigerator, and I’m amazed at how much fits in it. The separate door easily fits beverages, dairy products and condiments. We’ve had it for about 2 weeks and it’s very quiet and we are very happy with it.

    Really Nice Fridge

We originally went to purchase a different fridge but the wife fell in love with this at the store. We thought about buying a fridge with the freezer drawers at the bottom but decided not to and we’re glad we did! The parents have the fridge drawers at the bottom abut it always seems like a pain to take stuff out and repack it. Reminds me of a mini deep freezer. With the sidie-by-side style, It’s just easier to stock and review the freezer. The space seems less but we spend less time digging in it to find what we need. The fridge took up more space than we anticipated. We had 37” W x70” H to work with. The fridge is a snug fit on the width as I forgot to account for the shoe/quarter-round molding and baseboards at the bottom. The cord for the pluf runs out of the rop of the fridge and down the back somthe top bulges outward some in the center. This prevented us from pushing the fridge under the overhead cabinets but was a blessing since the sides were a snug fit. The larger gap on the back helps with the air circulation around the unit. The water dispenser is a little tricky the first few times. With the old fridge, I used the back of my hand to hit the lever. On this fridge, that bad habit means the water missed the cup a few times so be sure to use the cup to activate the water and you”ll be fine. We had to remove one of the shelves on the fridge side to get the a nice row for taller items. We may remove one more as the remaining shelves are stacked a little closer tahn the old fridge but it’s working for now. Ice maker is great and we love the additinal freezer space. Old fridge has the larger ice bin at the top but we didn’t need that much. The door-in-door feature is cool but I recommend you save the $200 - $300 and get the version with the regular door. We can only put a couple of big things in the door (galloon of mlk and a large container of orange juice). It seems we can pur fewer condiment like items in the small shelves. We’re making it work though. The water filter is easily replacable so that’s a big plus. A pretty good fridge overall. If the old fridge wasn”t dying on us, we probably would have checked around a little more before choosing this one. Perhaps the regular door model would have been a little better for us. Ot the fridge for a really good Black Friday deal so we probaly bought more of an upgrade than we needed.

We are loving this new Refrigerator. When the old one conked out we went looking for a new one at Best Buy. We were lucky to come across this fridge with a bit of a flaw on the side that can't be seen and save some bucks. It is bigger then it looks. We are really enjoying the door in a door access which helps to save energy. There is so much that fits on the door. Two half gallons, one in front of the other is a little tight squeeze but it works. The ice is small so I like that much better then the larger half moon ice from the last fridge. The metal on the outside is so easy to keep clean and looks so nice. It took a bit to learn how to use the water since we don't like to read the instructions but you have to pull out the tray and then press the water button to fill the cup. There is plenty of room for everything in the fridge. I miss having a deli drawer but we manage. It is nice to have a tray for eggs but this didn't come with the fridge but you can get them from the container store or amazon. There are lots of neat containers for the fridge from the container store.

So far so good. A friend of mine owns this refrigerator as well and it caught my eye. It wasn’t overpriced like many of the other ones seem to be. I didn’t need all that other technology and to be honest nor did I want that in a refrigerator. The door in door feature is fantastic. The only issue I have with that feature is that the shelves are not really adjustable, they are only removable. All in all the refrigerator is very high-quality for a reasonable price. I chose the side-by-side because of the extra space created by the in door icemaker. I needed a little more freezer space in this unit achieves that. I don’t care for the bottom drawer freezers as I don’t want to squat in or bend over to look and find what I want. Those may work great for families with children but not so much for me being on my own.

I've had this for 1 week and everything is working as expected. The door in door design has helped the organization of the condiments and larger items. The in door icemaker is a great design and creates organized room in the freezer. This appliance is very quiet and I love the black stainless steele look.

I bought this refrigerator to replace a 25 year old one that finally gave out. I like that the ice water/dispenser is deep enough that you can put a pitcher underneath it without worry it will tip over. However, one thing I don't like about it is that there are two different buttons to push to pick which style of ice you want (crushed, cubed) and another button entirely for the water. It's a little difficult to get used to. I do like that the ice maker and ice cube bin are in the door saving much valued freezer space for meats, veggies and of course ice cream. I do like the door in door feature as it makes it very easy to grab those items you use all the time without having to open the entire fridge. (This is supposed to save energy and $.) Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would rate it at 4 1/2 stars if that were possible.

We had a French door refrigerator that this one replaced. There is so much room in this refrigerator, the door in door is so nice just being able to get something to drink without opening into the whole fridge. The ice maker is quite and makes ice fast.

Great fridge so far after a month. Real quiet and believe it or not I have fallen for the door in door feature. We keep condiments and the kids frequently used snacks in there. The ice maker being in the door really maximized space as well. Love the finish.

This is really a great fridge. The mini door to access drinks/condiments is a wonderful feature. And the layout of the water/ice dispensers is so much better than my previous fridge. Wanted to comment some things I read in other reviews that were not accurate. I'm guessing LG revised a few things on the fridge based on customer feedback. First, the outer door in the door-in-door feature is a little harder to close and takes a little bit to get used to. It does have an alarm though (and so do the main doors) that will alert you if you've left it open. I read somewhere that the shelves can't be adjusted, and while that's not entirely true, each shelf only has two positions an inch or so apart. It's unfortunate that the shelves aren't more modular, because so far that seems to be the only oversight I've seen with this fridge.

There is so much space and I absolutely kobe the additional small door. It is pretty big and was quite difficult to install but totally worth it! ( best buy will usually do it for an added fee but due to the pandemic they would not)
