Good fridge, little baggage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first, I thought the door-in-door feature was unnecessary,.. but now we can't imagine a fridge without that feature. At approx 3 years, the fridge started making a grinding noise, which became louder and louder with time. Came home from work and discovered an error message on the front screen and the outside of the fridge hot. A cooling fan motor had stopped working. Unfortunately, the service warranty through Best Buy had expired and it cost roughly $280 to fix. It's been 45 days since the repair and the fridge has been working as it should.

Does NOT make craft ice

The fridge portion is spacious with no ice maker taking up space and the drawers and shelves slide in easily which makes for easy customizing. The fridge and freezer get cold very quickly when first plugged in and it’s super easy to set up the ice makers and water dispenser. That said, this model does NOT make craft ice. The freezer ice maker is normal ice like the door ice maker. This isn’t an issue or even a flaw, but due to an answer on this website from a verified LG person, we thought it would. It does not.

Great fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a bumpy delivery process in which our first refrigerator was damaged and we had to reschedule, the fridge itself is fantastic. No complaints other than I have to consciously remind myself to close the InstaView door as your have to push it to latch. As far as value, we may not have purchased had it not been on sale for Black Friday, but glad we did.

Awful fridge

It stopped working after 2 years and we have spent $800 trying to fix it but it is still not working. The saying “LG = Looks good but that’s it” is definitely correct. It never cooled very well and the door that you tap on for the light to come on is a nice little bell and whistle that is ignored after the first week. I would definitely suggest looking at other brands because this line of fridges is very poor and the fridge repair company said the same thing (though they still can’t find a way to fix it...).

A warranty to live by.

Awful Noise/Awful Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This refrigerator was purchased in November 2018 and has been making some weird (loud) noise, INTERMITTENTLY, since it was installed in its permanent place. LG service is awful and is refusing to send a repair person out to try to even diagnose it. They’ve told me to defrost the refrigerator and leave it off for 24 hours to determine if the noise goes away. Well, I’ve done this and the noise (loud rattle) still occurs INTERMITTENTLY, without any rhyme or reason. I can over one door or the other and the noise goes away until I close the door. The same thing happens if I open/close the freezer door. This is very annoying and dissatisfying due to how much this refrigerator cost. My old refrigerator was over 23 years old and never made a single noise. Of course it wasn’t an LG! I will never buy another LG unless they can somehow this problem.

Trash product

Now for the third time the compressor went out, best buy gave me a 3 week window to just come out and diagnose problem. We'll going with 2 different private contractors is looking @ $1200 to repair. No thank you. Cheap non American hot garbage. Thanks best buy for having the great customer service of 3 week diagnostic turn around time. Spending thousands upon thousand of dollars to refurnish a brand new house, they can not be bothered
