It's a really nice fridge. Much better than the old GE we had. The one feature we really enjoy is the smaller ice compartment. When looking at new fridges, we noticed that all the other competitors had huge ice bins in the refrigerator sections, which was cutting down on actual storage room. The LG refrigerator has the ice inside the door, which saves a ton of room. And, speaking of room, this one has a lot. Plenty of room to store all the food that a family of 6 needs. If you're looking to upgrade to a bigger fridge and don't want the fancy "viewing windows" but still want a technically capable fridge, I recommend giving these LG fridges a look.

It is bigger inside for the same footprint as our old fridge. The shelf configuration is great - lots of room for tall bottles. The water dispenser has room for water bottles which is nice.

Above expectations, well maintained, silent, useful refrigerator with a plenty of space to use. Its well is fast, easily crushed or cubed ice and water is filled.

I gave it 4 stars, but I essentially rounded up. It is a really nice fridge that has tons of room for all our stuff, but I do have some quibbles with the design that I think is important for people to know: 1) The location of where the water comes out is too far from the back sensor that you supposedly would press your glass/bottle/etc. I find myself having to press on the back panel with one hand and position my glass with the other hand to get the water into the glass. The ice dispenser is in a better spot closer to the sensor. 2) The touch pad to switch between ice and water is a bit finicky. You need to make SURE it switches, otherwise you get water pouring out, missing your glass, due to the issue I brought up in (1) 3) The ice compartment is very small. It holds about 6 cups of ice. I think our old one held twice that much. We constantly run out of ice, but maybe we use more than most. 4) The deli tray requires you to open both doors since it's wide. This is probably a minor quibble since the single drawer is probably better for space optimization, but we keep our butter in there (no better place for it except on a regular shelf I suppose), so it's not as quick to access. 5) The shelves are not adjustable when stuff is on them. They have a very old fashioned hole and tab system. Our old unit allowed us to adjust while food was still on the shelves 6) The fruit and vegetable bins don't pull out far enough. The stuff in the back of the drawer are a little hard to access These are the little things that are annoying that you have to live with for many years that you may not think about when buying the fridge, and when you deal with it every day, you realize they are a bit of a pain. We did notice the shelf adjustment thing before we bought, but not the others.

Nothing bad to say..Seems to be a great refrigerator so far...Lots of room in both the fridge and freeze, Ice maker works good, would recommend this product.

LOVE this spacious french door refrigerator. Black stainless steel super easy to take care of. However, ice maker quit working within a week. Called for repair, it was covered, and they mailed the replacement to my home. Service man arrives and they sent the wrong part so had to reorder and he came back out. Works pretty good but is a small ice maker and makes small ice cubes. If were having company have to save ice a couple days ahead. Other than the ice issues, it is the best refrigerator I've ever had for space and organization. Still LOVE it!

Love this fridge, the ice maker is wonderful, it makes the cutest little ice cubes! So much room in this fridge, love the beeps that warn you that the doors are still open.

Have owned the refrigerator for a month. Love the extra space in the fridge but I now have less space in the freezer than I used to have. Like than one shelf in the fridge has a movable half so taller items can stand up. Would like the shelves on the door to be movable. The freezer is a chest type which is why there is less space and harder to find items than the standard top loading freezer. The ice maker only makes square cubes or crushed ice. It’s difficult to add the cubed ice to Swell water bottles. Overall I like the fridge, just a few things that caused me to not give it a 5 star rating.

Tons of space perfect in every way, expect on how much ice it can hold in the maker. Wish it could hold more ice in the door but production is very good.

Beautiful fridge. Everything works great lots of room. I really like the ice maker in the door it does not waste any space. double doors work great for tight space.

Great Icemaker, well hidden in the door. The most refrigerator space of any we looked at. I would rate the freezer as average, like any drawer freezer, but the refrigerator is extra large, and well designed.

This fridge is very well designed. The space in the fridge is very large. The drawers in the freezer are convenient. The icemaker/water dispenser work well.

We replaced a 13 tear old Other Brand side by side unit and our first reaction was 'we should have bought this last year'. It is a well engineered and cleanly built machine. Very quiet operation and the only sound we hear is the occasional dumping of the ice cubes . No humming compressor motor sounds that we have gotten used to with all our previous (Other Brands) units. The sealing mechanism between the upper doors is well designed and works well regardless of which door is opened/closed. The Ice Maker placement in the door is also clever an idea. The bottom freezer concept make finding items easier to find than in the old and narrow side by side. Three cheers to LG !!!

Fridge is great and very quiet (unlike other reviews) it's huge inside and with the pull out drawers and shelves, everything is convenient.

When we purchased this refrigerator, I was changing from a side by side to this French Door refrigerator. After using it now for about two weeks, I have been pleasantly surprised at how much more room there is. Leftovers haven't gotten lost, condiments are easily accessible and overall there is just a great amount of usable space. Likewise, with the freezer beneath. I can see everything in it and there really isn't anywhere for items to get pushed to the back of the unit. The water/ice dispenser works smoothly. Knock on wood, this will last a long time. One never knows nowadays with appliances. It's the luck of the draw!

Very pleased with this fridge, compact ice maker in door, leaves extra room for storage. Sliding shelves makes it easier to store a large bottle. Also Best Buy matched ad price which Costco had on sale :-)

I love the French doors of this unit. There is so much space inside for storing items that need refrigeration. The finish does not show finger prints, a point I value after my last unit needed continuous cleaning.

Love this LG refrigerator. You can see everything. No more lost food. Stainless exterior doesn’t show fingerprints! Large freezer has more than enough room to stock-up on weekly sales.

Having the ice maker flat on the side door gives you so much more room for food/drinks. Shelves adjust for the size of you items. Great fridge and so much space!!

So far so good. This fridge is what we hoped it would be when we bought it. The ice maker/ water dispenser works great, even for our young children to get there own water and ice. It obviously can hold that much extra ice in the door, but it came with an ice bucket. I didn’t see this on many other models and it is necessary if you like your ice. “Smudge proof”, is the only thing up for debate. We still need to wipe it down from finger prints but it’s not as bad as others we have had.
