There is a ice container in the freezer compartment but you have to manually dump ice into it. Also, there is not a drain for the door ice maker/water to drain to.

Do Not Buy LG appliances

Best Buy does not care if you lose food while you are waiting a week for the repair. They just give you the run around between the LG warranty and theirs. I am surprised Best Buy carries such an inferior models. There are postings all over the Internet about the issues with this refrigerator.
