Has anyone had a problem with dispenser water being only slightly cool or room temperature? LG has been unable to resolve this issue. Otherwise pleased with the refrigerator.

Lasted ONLY 3.5 years. Then it just died. Leak was too big for anyone to fix. Both repair guys said they get the most calls on LG and Samsung fridges as they just die after 3~4 years and recommended other brands (wanted a Bosch fridge but it won’t fit our space) Geek Squad was worthless (but a nice man) as many people have commented on. He said call LG. And of course LG says call Best Buy. But since we were just out of the 3yr warranty nobody could help us they said. So we are still searching for a new fridge. Frustrating to spend over 2k for something that does NOT last

Having had this for less than 5 years, I will not recommend this product to anyone. Firstly, less than a year after I bought, the sensor that controls water and ice on the front panel died. Water just kept flowing. We had to disconnect the hose from the water. Now the compressor is dead. The fridge is not cooling anymore. We had to call a technician and he said we need to replace the compressor which cost about $500 before labor etc. What a junk piece of equipment I bought!

Bought this fridge about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Flushed the 2 gallons of water thru like instructed and disposed of first batches of ice. The water and ice tasted like plastic, but we wanted to give it a chance. After a couple of weeks without improvement, we called LG. They sent a local repairman, who flushed 5+ gallons. It actually tasted better and he assured me that the problem was solved. A week later, and it is worse than before. Now Best Buy says I can't return/replace the unit. Very unhappy with lack of support from both LG and Best Buy. There are a lot of other brands and other stores, so will never make this mistake again.

We have had nothing but trouble from this refrigerator. The ice maker works when it wants, the compressor has gone out three times, finally went out yesterday and I guess we get to buy another refrigerator. When it works this is an awesome appliance, but it seldom works. I have a 30 year old fridge i the garage that has never stopped working. This is a $2300 disposable appliance.

We bought this refrigerator a little over two years ago. Was working fine until recently it started making some noises and then the entire quit cooling. Spoke to LG customer service and they did not provide any meaningful suggestions after spending an hour on the phone with them. Called the out-of-warranty repair technician that LG provided on its website and the tech told me it was a bad compressor only they don't do compressor work on LGs because normally it just goes out again within a year or less. Spent $3K on this refrigerator at the time and can't even get it repaired by LG's recommended technician. The tech told me in the future not to waste my money on LG, instead to buy a Whirlpool, GE, or even a Frigidaire. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS REFRIGERATOR, I will not be buying an LG ever again.

Good useful product would highly recommend to others.

Very disappointed!! The compressor went out after 3 years. Lost over $200 of food. The repairman said that this is a common issue with these types of compressors that LG is using. Do your research. From what I read LG has not fixed the issues they are having with their defective compressor design. Class action lawsuits have been in play that I was unaware of. Stay away from LG refrigerators using linear sealed compressors. Probably should play it safe and stay away from LG appliances in general.

Great fridge, but compressor went out in 8 months. That doesn't bother me much since parts do go out on all makes and models, but what bothers me is that I'm on day 14 to get LG out to repair and they just postponed another week. So, yeah... service is TERRIBLE. Will not touch another LG or anything related to them.

Love this unit. Ice machine seems slow bit it may be just me. Wish the freezer was bigger. Overall good unit

My LG french door refrigerator stopped working after eleven months. I lost over $250 worth of food. At first, I loved everything about this refrigerator but then after it stopped working, the nightmare began. LG has perhaps the worst customer service department for any major company. No assistance and rude call center 'supervisors." Honestly, I thought I was buying a good product from a company with integrity. DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! I wish I had done more research and then I would have discovered the class action lawsuit with the compressors and the faulty replacement parts.

We bought this refrigerator delivered in March 2017 which we booked in November 2016. It didn't even work for 1 and half year properly and the compressor stooped working. Since 5 days we are struggling to get it fixed. We called LG customer care and they say they don't any appointments for two more weeks. We have small kids and we are struggling so far without Refrigerator. LG has a very bad customer support as well. I suggest not to buy this refrigerator if you have kids. Same thing happened to my friend who bought the same piece.

The fridge works fine. LG Quality and Support are a problem. A plastic roller wheel on freezer tray broke. LG does not respond to emails or support requests. Their parts are not available. So every day, the tray goes off track. I figure I will have 10+ more years of this so I will probably throw out the basket. Darn shame to have to do that on a 1 year old product. I am reminded why I will not by an LG product again. Mind you, this is after purchasing 2 LG washers, 2 LG dryers and 1 LG cell phone because of the quality. I am now a "former" ad of LG products. I would advise you not to be an LG consumer

Will not buy LG again as a refrigerator. FF E or freezer fan error at less than 2 yrs of operation. Just like our Samsung prior that didn’t make 5yrs. $3k spent already not worth it. Warranty only one year then you have to buy more years. Hopefully the TV lasts longer but I don’t have a good feeling about it.

We have had to have our LG french door smart fridge fixed twice within the last two years and its only 5 years old. This latest fix required a compressor replacement which is supposedly under the lifetime warranty, however, LG makes up the cost of the replacement compressor by charging over $300/hour for labor. That is just insane. No plumber and most lawyers don't even charge that much. It was $750 to replace the compressor on our LG fridge (that was the only work done) it took 1.5 hours. We should have got a new fridge, not LG. I will never buy another LG product/appliance again.

Major issues malfunctions with the compressor after only a year and a half. The refrigerator just started leaking and not cooling. To add insult to injury the Service Protection Plan small print allows them to take as long as they want to make repairs. It's been a week without even being close to a solution . I am currently on hold as I write for 15 minutes. Google "LG compressor problems " before choosing this or any other product from LG or Best Buy !

Had I known that there was/is an issue with this refrigerator, I would NEVER have purchased it. There was/is a class action lawsuit against LG for the compressors in the model (and others). Apparently, LG knew about them being bad, but sold the refrigerators with them anyway. Lookup "LG linear compressor recall" so that you don't end up with the same problems/junk that I bought at Best Buy

Wish I could give this zero stars! Broke in 4 months- lost $100’s in food. LG customer service is a complete JOKE! Waiting on a compressor with no timeline on repairs. In the meantime have no fridge. Wish I never purchased this piece of crap! Looks like several of the same Reviews with standard LG response. Repair man knew exactly what the problem was because it’s a constant problem with LG- when you call they don’t tell you that though! I will never buy another LG product. What a complete waste of money!

Lasted 6 years, but had to have it repaired 4 times to make it that long. Size and functionality were good, but overall this fridge was a lemon.
