The slim design, light weight, and the white finish on the LG new countertop design tv is perfect for any location in your home. Although the slim design, the height and the self-standing design is made for your kitchen countertop so it does not take up much space and allows you to watch your favorite shows while you take care of business, it really doesn’t matter where you put this, it will look and work great. We decided to put this tv in our kitchen because it fit perfectly under our kitchen cabinets and it works like a charm. Setup: The setup process is rather simple and there much that goes into setting up this tv. Since the tv is self-standing there is no tv stand to install, unless you plan on mounting the tv on the wall for which you will have to by a separate wall mount. Once you plug in the tv it will guide you to set up the tv with either the LG app, or you can simply follow the prompts on the screen. I completed the setup process using the LG application without any issues and the setup process was complete in minutes. Being a smart tv you will need to update the applications and the tv itself before use. Features: This tv weighs about 13 lbs. and measures about 16 H x 24 W x 4 D. This is a direct lit, LED, Full HD (1080 P) with 60Hz refresh rate. The tv runs LGs custom WEBOS operating system and comes preloaded with tons of applications such as YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and amazon prime videos just to name a few. The tv includes 2 HDMI ports, ethernet port, optical, USB, and coaxial. The picture quality is crisp and clear, and colors are vibrant, pretty much as good as it gets for being 1080p. The audio did seem a bit muffled in the beginning but once I played around with the settings a bit, I was able to clear up the audio as well. PROS: *Overall Design * Picture Quality * Assortment of inputs * Smart Functionality *Looks like a giant tablet CONS: The only thing I would change about this tv is the remote control. I am a big fan of the LG’s magic remote, just the ease of point and click. That would be something that would come in handy, just my personal preference. Overall, this is a great product. I am happy with its design, picture quality, and smart functionality, but best of all the ability to put this anywhere you want.

The total package in a small footprint!

This TV is described as having a “Countertop Design”. What that means is that is has a very small “footprint” due to a built-in stand and can also mount to a standard VESA mount. The depth measurement is only 3.75” deep, and it’s 25” wide by 15.75” high. All cords attach via an inset in the back, so they don’t take any additional space. The TV can connect to a wireless or wired network and has a WebOS operating system so there’s an integrated web browser and you can download others. There is an included app store as well as LG Channels which is like many free streaming services. The remote is comfortable, but it is not backlit. The buttons are small for large hands, and it’s not very intuitive to use other than the volume and channel up/down controls. The 27” display is Full HD and the IPS tech allows for great viewing angles making it suitable for placing/mounting places where other TV placement would not be ideal. The TV supports AirPlay and Screen Share with android. You can also connect BT enable speakers or headphones/earbuds! There is a AI sound feature that adapts to your environment, and auto volume leveler with Dolby Audio. The picture and sound are fully customizable and fantastic with 2 x 5w stereo speakers. There are 2 HDMI ports including 1 HDMI ARC port and a USB Port. You can connect a compatible keyboard, mouse or gamepad via the USB port. For the most part if you can imagine it this TV can do it!

LG has released a new TV design specifically for countertops (under cabinetry). With this design, this 27" TV will fit under most cabinets in the kitchen with ease. The package includes the TV, white HDMI cable, rear plastic cover, white remote control, 2 AAA batteries, AC power adapter, and some paperwork. The TV comes with a manufacturer's 1-year warranty. MAJOR APPS SUPPORTED IN THE LG STORE: ------------------------------------------------------------- Netflix (quick button on remote) Prime Video (quick button on remote) Disney+ (quick button on remote) LG Channels (quick button on remote) Accuweather Amazon Music AMC Theaters on Demand Apple Music Apple TV CBS News CBS Sports Discovery GO ET Live Food Network GO Fubo TV Hallmark Movies NOW HBOmax HG TV GO Hulu Newsmax OAN Live Pandora Paramount+ Peacock Peloton Plex PlutoTV QVC/HSN Redbox Showtime Showtime Anytime SiriusXM Sling TV Spotify Starz The CW TikTok TV TLC GO Tubi Twitch UFC Universal+ Vudu Xfinity Stream YouTube YouTube Kids YouTube TV ** There are a lot more apps available (ie. kids, foreign languages, screensavers, digital/analog clocks, movies, games, etc) ** Some apps require the user to create an LG account on the TV before they can be installed. ===MISSING=== One app noticeably missing was DirecTV Stream as of 12/26/22. You will still need another device like Roku or a Fire Stick to use that app on this TV via one of the HDMI ports. PROS: ----------- * The TV is aesthetically pleasing, almost looking like a giant tablet propped up on the countertop. * The remote is bluetooth (BT) so it doesn't have to be aimed at an infrared sensor that could get blocked by obstructions. * For a 1080p FULL HD picture, this one is quite good for its size. The picture is very crisp, and there are different picture settings to choose from including custom settings. I'm very impressed with the picture quality. * Setup was easy, responsive, and quick. A system update was taken upon setup. On-screen messages kept the user up-to-date on what was happening at every step. * I typically use wired ethernet for internet connections to my TVs but for this one, I did use wifi, and there were absolutely NO issues connecting or keeping a good/constant connection for the picture to remain in HD quality (it did not go fuzzy/pixelated). My internet is very good (AT&T Fiber), and wifi was well within range of the TV. Be sure your wireless router is in good proximity to the TV or you could have issues connecting as with any device. * The picture has a no-glare surface and can be viewed VERY well at any angle. * As shown above, app availability is very good overall. * If you go into the Settings, you can opt to remove the LG splash screen on TV power up and the TV powers up quickly, between 2-3 seconds. You can choose what screen or INPUT the TV starts on in the Settings as well which is a good convenience. CONS: ----------- * Acceptable response time from the remote but could be slightly better. * The sound quality is very weak and not very good though the design does emit the sound from the FRONT of the unit via the bottom area below the screen. Many TVs this size have speakers facing straight down. This one, the sound is at least projected forwards but it still of low quality. You may opt to connect a wired or BT speaker for better audio. * The "feel" of the buttons on the remote where the up/down/left/right/ENTER are OK. I like to have a remote in which I don't have to look down to ensure my thumb is on the center button. This one, is not quite as defined with the key "feel". * After connecting to my network at initial setup, I was unable to "Load the User Agreements" which opens up full access to all functions of the TV itself. I kept getting an error message even though the preceding screen (and Internet Connection option) showed I was connected. I SKIPPED this step and was able to eventually load the user agreements in the Settings menu. This is a SW glitch in the SW setup process and should be fixed with a Firmware update. I have posted a picture of the error. * This TV does not come with a 3.5mm AUDIO OUT jack. For a kitchen TV, this would be great to have due to the issues I had in my next comment..... * EXTERNAL SPEAKER SETUP was not as easy to maneuver when using an external speaker with a 3.5mm jack. I connected a digital optical/fiber OUT cable to a digital adapter that converts digital audio to the option to use RCA or 3.5mm jack to an external BT speaker with 3.5mm audio jack. The reason for this is because if the BT speaker remains ON, and the TV is turned OFF then back ON again, the TV does not automatically reconnect to the BT speaker. This is not good. The BT speaker has to be turned OFF then ON again for it to connect to the TV (or the order of "power-up" has to be TV first, then BT speaker). The speaker I'm using is the JBL Charge 2+ and also the Bose Revolve+ (I tried both) which are a few years old but still do the job well. If I turn off BT to the speaker and connect via 3.5mm jack, sounds DOES come out of the external BT speaker, but I lose the ability to change the volume with the TV remote like I normally have with the TV speakers and/or when connected via BT. After calling LG support, they stated that LG Sync needed to turned on, but that still did not increase/decrease the volume levels (the no speaker icon did go away with volume indication on the TV, but between 0-100, the actual volume levels did not change). Ultimately, since the 3.5mm jack was unable to work with vol up/down, I had to go with BT connection instead. If you use the ARC/HDMI option for audio, you should have NO problem. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: --------------------------------- * The AC adapter is pretty big and bulky at the outlet location. You may need to expand your outlet needs depending on other electronics plugged in at that location. * The TV has a very thin build but strangely enough has a very sturdy base with rubber feet. It does not want to tip over very easily and takes up little space. This TV does NOT come with a stand - it is made like this for a reason. This gives MORE SCREEN space and less vertical height which occurs with a stand. A stand on most 27" TVs may cause it to be too tall and not fit under standard cabinets. * There is 1.95GB of internal memory on the TV. I was unable to find documentation on whether a USB drive can be attached on the back to house extra memory for apps. If a USB drive is inserted in the rear USB port, the back may not be able to be snapped on depending on the size of your thumb drive. I have about 10 primary apps installed to the internal memory with no issues. * PORTS on the back of the TV include (1) Ethernet input (2) Optical Digital Audio OUT (fiber) (3) Power cord (4) HDMI 2[ARC] (5) HDMI 1 (6) RF Antenna IN (7) USB IN (5V. 0.5A). * The white frame of the TV may or may not fit your aesthetics depending on your counter and cabinet colors. I have mostly dark colors in my kitchen but have white appliances nearby, so it didn't look too bad especially when actually powered ON. See picture. * The TV can be mounted using the 4 bolt holes on the back or place on sturdy rubber feet. No mounting hardware is provided. * If using in the kitchen, you will want to be careful about splatter around the TV as it will show up on the screen and be harder to remove than if the screen was a glass surface. Don't use an ammonia-based cleaner on this screen (don't use Windex). Use an alcohol-based cleaner like you would use on tinted cars. And use a microfiber cloth so the screen is not damaged during cleaning. CONCLUSION: ================= Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this TV; however, the lack of a 3.5mm jack and the inability to control the volume of the TV when a wired 3.5mm external speaker is used does deflate my enthusiasm a bit. Since I can use BT instead, I can live with it. Also, we have the additional TV service DTV Stream which is not in the WebOS store so if we watch TV using this app, it will need another device to be used on one of the HDMI ports. DTV and LG have to work out contracts to get it added, so that may or may not be in the works. Other than that, the TV looks great and has a good picture for that size TV. Response time from the remote to the TV is acceptable but could be better. The TV has a TON of options which is great. There are too many to list here. You can also have the TV speakers ON or OFF while an external speaker is being used if needed. This is a win for LG, but work out the few kinks I have listed, and it will be a 5-star product in my book.

I love my new TV. I wanted a smaller smart TV for the kitchen while I was cooking. I had a regular 24-inch TV before. I wasn't able to watch any streaming shows that are on Netflix, Hulu, Disney, etc. With this one, I'm able to, with a bigger screen. The colors are beautiful and crisp.

We were glad to find a TV in white. It is a good size for a bedroom and looks nice sitting on the dresser without a stand or legs. Nice that it came with an HDMI cable (in white and the power cord is white too). The picture quality is very good. A nice surprise: when the antenna has no signal, scenic pictures are displayed behind the "no signal" notice (much more pleasant than the usual black screen).

So as with all new gadgets, the experience starts with the unboxing. LG did a great job on ensuring the process was simple and hassle free. As for the product itself, it is unique and.... WHITE! If you're anything like myself, you love a great contrasting kitchen with white marbling, black, and wood tones. Which this fits perfectly and more naturally than a black framed TV. This TV does exceptional from a style standpoint, whether it be in the kitchen, a sunroom, or a child/small guest's room. It is wall mountable, but it's shape allows it to be a piece of art almost, standing freely as a monitor without a base, as most other TV's have the cheap and unsightly feet. And not to mention, are gloss black. So moving on with functionally and quality, I'd have to score this a 7/10. Mind you, this is against what my top tier OLED and QLED offer, so pretty good overall. The setup process is easy, especially if you already own an LG and have the ThinQ app. WiFi connection was solid, but the location I have this is only 20ft from my router. All apps work and run mostly quick. This isn't going to be your main TV by any stretch of you want excellent picture and sound, but it's going to fill the void for someplace you want to fit a TV, but want it to look more natural/aesthetic. The screen is matte on this, which attributes to mediocre color reproduction and contrast, as well as poor viewing angles. The latter of which is disappointing for a device that aims to be versatile in that it blends into a room, rather than being center focus like living room TVs. Sound is also tinny, but that's to be expected, and the TV has ARC/Optical out, so you can connect your own soundbar/system. I also appreciate the white HDMI cable thats included. Overall, a well put together and thought out product.

The setup process gave me a little bit of grief. I have LG Smart Thinq items; washer, dryer, and dishwasher. These always seem to give me headaches during set up. Recently had to change my WiFi info and man was it a challenge! Getting this TV setup was also a challenge. During the start it offered me a choice to use the App or the TV itself. I opted for the app and it never showed up even after scanning the QR code. Then went to the TV set up itself and that was easy. Once it was online, I was able to add it to the app no problem until it was time to add voice commands. Don't know who's fault it was, Google, LG, or myself, but I saw it in my Google Home, I told Google to turn on the TV and it said it did, but the TV never turned on. Asked Google to turn off the TV, works great. Once it was set up, everything was great! I'm a happy camper. I originally got this for my kitchen to replace the Google Hub I was using for the kiddos while I cook, they can spend time in my vicinity but still watch shows or play silly voice games with Google. It ultimately ended up just being shows because the remote games weren't that great and demanded too much attention. So I moved it to the Garage and there is where it REALLY SHINED for me! I had plans to turn my garage into a play space for the kiddos and a workout area for me and my wife. However life had other plans so the play area lived on while the workout area kind of turned into a storage area. But with this TV mounted on the wall, it's seriously perfect. After I got it set up on the wall mount, cleaned up the fitness gear, and blammo, that very same day my Wife and I "hit the gym" so to speak. Life changer for sure. PROS: Decent picture, loud sound, easily wall mounted, remote and smart things associated with it. Works with LG Thinq App. Lots of options to tinker with, free television channels. Works with Google Home. CONS: Slow interface, set up difficulties, sound quality, missing a lot of smart apps, likely will have to augment this with a Roku or Google TV. At the end of the day, I'm pleased with this display. It provides me with all the comforts I'd expect from a modern display at a very reasonable price.

I was on the lookout for a countertop TV and this one fits my requirements just perfectly. The white color adds to the overall look of the TV and gives a good facelift to my kitchen. Although it is great for movies and playing games, I am using it more often to listen to music while working in the kitchen. The picture quality is crisp and clear, much sharper than an HD TV. Not to mention its compact size and design which lets it fits nicely in one corner of the countertop. It doesn’t look out of size on the countertop and gives a nice viewing experience while cooking or cleaning the kitchen. Since this is LED,it has superior brightness, and high color contrast to make the picture quality amazing. Although it faces slightly diagonally to my gas stove but the best viewing angle is from the center. The backlight type is direct lit so it can be used in any room with different room brightness and gives a good light uniformity. I love to enjoy the streaming apps straight from the TV like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu, YouTube. Overall a great quality TV. I am happy with the performance and ease of using this TV.

Great tv. Good picture quality. Perfect for countertops or desktops and to use as a 2nd monitor for my laptop. The picture quality is so much better than my laptop and brighter. there’s a lot of picture settings which I’ll have to read the manual to figure out what will work for when I stream movies versus using it as a monitor. I knocked off one star because the remote control is not a smart remote control. There is no microphone on the remote control. Also, the remote control is not back lit, which totally sucks when you want to watch TV at night with the lights off. Another negative is that the screen is not a touchscreen, so if that’s important to you, this is not the TV for you. I had actually wanted the LG Stanbyme tv since it is touchscreen and voice activated but it costed a lot more coins so went with this. My favorite thing is that I can screen mirror, my iPhone, and iPad. No special app. Need it for screen sharing, really seamless and easy. I do want to get a monitor stand though to raise it up a little bit when I’m using my laptop. I haven’t tried mounting it but it looks like it could work to be mounted so I’m thinking about a desk mount. Sound quality is not that great. It definitely needs a speaker. I did use the Bluetooth feature to connect it to a Sony sound bar and that sounded wonderful. I’m gonna look for an LG sound bar or some other speaker that is white though to match the TV. Pretty tv and even with some of the drawbacks I do love it.

Although this should be more along the $130-160 price range, at $200 + tax you’re slighlty overpaying for a full HD (non-4K) TV that has been constructed well for countertop viewing and Airplay mirroring/additional monitor for your Apple device with good to above average sound quality. Happy with my purchase... just wish this was about $50 less for what you’re getting quality-wise.
