Good monitor but not for an Apple Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since Apple discontinued the Thunderbolt I decided to look for another monitor. This one received good reviews so I bought it. I work on graphic design and video editing and unfortunately it doesn't connect well to Apple computers - you only get 1920 resolution however the monitor is suppose to output 4K results but since it only allows for an HDMI port - that's all it can handle. I contacted LG and they basically said I'm out of luck and apologized that they didn't have a better answer. Not sure why LG didn't decide to put a Mini Displayport on the computer, but since they didn't, you only get low quality. I tried to buy the 4K adaptor (HDMI to Mini Displayport) and it didn't work either. I'm not sure if a Windows computer could handle the HDMI output and give max resolution, but if you own an Apple computer I would suggest to find another monitor that has a Mini Displayport that can handle the resolution. I have a MacBook Pro late edition 2013 model if that helps you with your decision to make the purchase. Bottom line: LG shouldn't have removed the Mini Displayport so that anyone could purchase their monitor and be satisfied.

Mediocre, some backlight bleed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is just OK. Not worth it in my opinion and I got it on sale. I am going to return it and get an ultrawide instead. There is backlight bleed but it's EVEN which I guess is better than random. I couldn't get any deep blacks in movies or games and the colors were very bleh. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you can get it for under $200 and you've been using a 21" monitor. If you already own a nice 1080p 27" monitor this one will not impress you at all.

I was stupid for buying this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The thing that sucks the worst about it, is it doesn't have any audio unless you plug in earbuds, not sure who has earbuds that are 7 feet in length. Another thing is there's no controller to change its features, or to turn it on and off. I'd like to return it but not sure they would take it back.

Great but too small
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with the hope that it wouldnt be too small for the 4K rez it sports but alas after a few days of using it I decided it would be better to wait and grab a deal on a larger model.

Thinking about using on XBOX ONE S for 4K, DONT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the specifications state you can get 3840 x 2160 at 60HZ, it doesn't tell you that you cant get that across the HDMI port, even with HDMI 2.0 cables. you can only get 60HZ on the DisplayPort. Which means it wont display 4K on the XBOX ONE S Period. I also tried the Samsung UD59028 28", which worked on HDMI 2, but it flickered. You CAN NOT USE this monitor on XBOX ONE S for 4K.

Good quality, poor design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no qualms with the quality of the display, but the design is terrible. The stand is so flimsy that you better plan on having the monitor mounted on the wall or sitting on something other than the desk on which you're working if you don't want it dancing in front of your face. You can't even move your mouse without the monitor wobbling. It's very flimsy. Looks like LG tried too hard to develop a "hip" display.
