Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the 27UL600-W monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and impressive HDR performance. Many also find it to be a good value for its price and easy to set up. However, some users note limitations with the stand, lack of built-in speakers, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The absence of height adjustment is also a point of concern for some customers.

I'm lukewarm with this monitor. I think the picture and colors are generally pretty good, but my unit has had pretty bad backlight bleed and is developing image retention issues after only a few months. This is normally not a big deal, but you can observe the image retention on dark and white backgrounds. OSD is very pleasant to use, LG has one of the better OSDs I've used. Port options are good with 2 HDMI + DP. Just wish I didn't have these panel issues.

The monitor is light and easy to set up. The only issue is not the monitor, the resolution can't reach to max 4K resolution when connect it to new M1 chip mac mini. I try to buy a new usb c to hdmi adaptor but still not work. The monitor is good quality 4k image if you connect to other pc.

I bought one of these for my son for Christmas. On Christmas day i was so stunned by the incredibly better quality than my other 5 monitors, I bought one for myself the next day. The colors are vibrant, the image is crystal clear, the brightness is awesome. There are no dead pixels. I scanned so many monitors and 'settled' on this one. I say settled because the model is unique to best buy. therefore there isn't other places I can see negative reviews. So I went for it, and you should too. Oh, and I play video games, its perfect.

Purchased two of these to use with new mac mini. Needed HDMI and DisplayPort and wanted IPS displays. These had what I needed and the sale price at Best Buy was hard to beat. Can't speak about gaming or FreeSync use. I use these for general displays and some photo work. The color out of box was great and side by side variances are minimal, although the one used with DisplayPort is just a little bit better - I think after x-rite cal they will be be very good. Good monitor value!

I bought this monitor so that I could sit at my desk to play my PS4 Pro. This is one of the best purchases I have made. The picture is so much clearer than even a 4K TV and it makes it a lot easier to be able to just sit close to the screen to play video games. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reasonable gaming monitor.

I got this on sale during the 2019 Holidays. It's a relatively barebones monitor, but for the price point LG sunk the cost into the very nice panel. 99% sRGB and 5ms response time with a 60Hz refresh rate is definitely good enough to use for most creative projects or casual gaming. Add to those specs a good wide viewing angle with minimal color distortion and you can see where LG concentrated on this monitor. If you're a dedicated gamer demanding the highest performance panel, look elsewhere. Same goes for creative professionals. If you require total color accuracy and representation, this isn't for you. There are only 3 inputs: 2 HDMI and 1 Displayport. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack in the back. No USB ports to be found. Both a DisplayPort and HDMI cable are included in the box, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the included stand provides only tilt. There is no height or swivel adjustment. However, if you want more adjustability, the monitor can be mounted quite easily using a VESA adapter. Connectivity to my 2019 15" MBP was as simple as plugging the included cable into the USB-C port on my laptop and the DisplayPort input in the monitor. MacOS immediately recognized it. Note: by default, MacOS will display 1920x1080 at 60Hz. To render in 4k, you need to go into the Display Preferences and holding the "Option" key on your keyboard, click the "Scaling" radio button. This will bring up the list of resolutions and you would choose the 3840x2160 option.

My first 4K and very pleased

This is my first 4K monitor and I'm sold on 4K. I'm not a gamer and use this the vast majority of the time for work, I had 3 Acer 24" 16:10 (1920x1200) monitors I was very happy with, but wanted a bit larger for my tired eyes. Though this isn't much larger physically, the text readability improvement is incredible. I don't know if this is considered a great, bad, or middle of the road 4K monitor, but I'm hooked. I didn't see how 4K would help a non-gamer, but was I ever wrong. I can't get the color to match my 2 flanking monitors, but the 27UL600 displays a crisp nice white and a decent black. It's far easier to read than its neighbors - even with text size set smaller. BTW, I'm running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitude with a dock w/4K support. I have it on one branch of a triple monitor arm, so I can't say anything about base adjustments. I don't turn any of my equipment off and have it all UPS protected so I'm hoping for a long life from it. The only downside I can can come up with is not the monitors fault at all. Dragging apps from the 4K to 1920x1200 monitors makes windows huge and some even refresh improperly due to the different resolution and Windows Text Zoom settings so I have to move them back to the Primary (LG) Display. I'm waiting for a sale to buy at least one more. I purchased this one here in December 2020 for $297 and have watched for months for a similar (even close) deal, but haven't seen it below $279. Now the description says "Clearance" so I'm in a panic. I'd buy immediately, but don't consider $408 anywhere in the ballpark of a Clearance price. Come on Best Buy! Hook me up with a decent price and I'm all in!
