Great fridge until something goes wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I agree with everyone's comments. But at 1 year and 1 week from purchase my electronic board went out. Of course there is a 1 year warranty. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for board to come in. Up until than I loved the fridge. Just not a fan of lg customer service.

Garbage

Paid for the "premium" care and has already taken 2 weeks to get it fixed. Have several LG products and will NEVER buy another one. Customer service isn't even helpful... Had to fight the warranty company to even get someone out to my house. Then they say it will take 1.5 weeks just to get parts. Warranty company doesn't talk to customer service or share systems... Complete run around.

Excellent space, many issues.

Ive had to replace the ice maker twice and still havr issues with it making ice. Have to turn icemaker off for a day then turn back on. The compressor has gone out already and had to be replaced. Today March 2020, the entore fridge turned off completely. Nothing works, as if it died. What a waste of almost $4K!

LG fails to hold their crown
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY LG! I’ve had many LG products and 3 refieigetors, I loved LG. But the new ones have a lot of problems. Mine stopped working 1 year after. Here you will meet LG customer service. I ignored all the reviews saying they are terrible, because I almost never use those—you will. Broken refrigerator is no rush for them. Weeks to come out and look, then weeks to get one part, then another, over two month of life with garage mini fridge...and nothing. Finally they said is inappropriately long and will submit to replace/refund. But that was denied because the technician that failed to fix it did not submit a form that it’s unfixable... Anyway, we had to give it to BestBuy when they brought our new (Samsung) fridge. Which with a heavy heart I have to say is actually lated out better anyway (ie easier to open one door and one fruit tray, the three drawers in LG suck. Also the middle drawer in samsung is separate and thus more practice too). Anyway, forget LG they’ve dropped the ball since their past days of innovation and reliability, sad.

A lot of usable space.

The fridge is very nice look on the outside and looks great on the inside. It's amazing how some small details, like bright metal finish on the edge of the shelves gives this fridge a high-end look. Freezer is big and the shelving inside the freezer is extremely useful for organizing the frozen foods. I rated a 4-stars as there just is not enough space for gallon size bottles. In addition, the other door shelves are quite small for condiments, dressings, etc. In addition, the cantilever shelves do not provide enough adjustment. The spacing does not take into account for tall bottles. Wine bottles, fruit juice bottles, etc., need to be laid on their sides.

Do not buy this model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had multiple issues with this model - replaced compressor within 2 years, then the gas, then the coil. Some issue or other keeps popping out. Had very good impression on LG refrigerator, now i'm skeptical, feel like staying away from LG. One big relief is Best Buy's Geek Squad protection was helping me all these days, but still have to go through the hassle of decayed food, calling customer service, schedule an appointment, sometimes wait till the part arrives. Now this is my 5th time i'm having issues with this model. Hoping Geek Squad will replace a new model as they promised. Will see how it goes.

Piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This fridge was delivered to us 08/2016. 03/2020 the compressor went out (the first time). 01/2021 after 6 trips out to repair it, and it quit working completely 4 times, it was deemed unrepairable. LG is only willing to give us $1900 for it because we bought it on sale and got a good deal at the time. So since we bought a piece of junk, now we have to go back and pay the rest of the price we saved when we bought it. So throw out over $1000 worth of food and have to jump thru all the hoops to try to get some of that money back too.

Stay away

Has the compressor replaced 6 months ago and it’s not working again, second time I’ve had to throw all my food out because of my LG refrigerator not staying cold and my freezer not working. Customer service is not good and they take forever and you have to argue with them over everything.

Bad Buy

Simultaneously, a loud disturbing noise appeared. After the LG repairman acknowledged the noise as excessive, abnormal and irreparable, LG refused to fix or replace the unit. LG won’t stand behind their product

DOA

The inside temperature in both areas is actually higher than the ambient air 12 hours later. Inside vents are blowing warm air. Poor initial product quality and a DOA (dead on arrival) status is a bad indication of quality control. This is my first LG purchase and probably my last.

Don't waste your money

But none of that matters when it dies right after the 5 year extended warranty expires. LG support was useless. Local appliance repair people either told us it would cost as much as a new fridge to fix it, or that they no longer service LG refrigerators (very specific - curious). We were told to look at Whirlpool and Bosh if we wanted a more reliable fridge. We shall see...

Air filter can't be replaced.

You're supposed to be able to remove the filter holder by turning it counter clockwise. No matter who tries this, it won't budge. LG is completely unconcerned about this problem, and offer no solution. I have found online that other people have encountered this same problem. Being unable to replace the filter will soon leave the refrigerator unusable.

Poorly engineered!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The LG line of refrigerators was horrible!!! It started with a compresser issue, then to a freon leak in which it needdd to be gutted. Cost $2900.00, then over $1400 to get fixed not even 7 years later!!!
