Here is a "bright idea" how about making the shelves on the door in a door accessible from either the outside door or from the inside of the right door? I'm not getting the need to make it only happen from the outside causing the double effort thing... Surely these engineers have more sense than this. Here is another ingenious idea. Make the water/ice dispenser a one touch operation: Ice anyone? push the appropriate button and dispense. Oh, then water? push the appropriate button and wallah! It's software folks. Call me a spoiled American brat. But I expect more than this from our American college educated and practical engineers... (or WAS it Americans? Hmmm) OK then, Yes I am spoiled. Compared to what or who are the Other $4000.00 Refrigerator buyers? Never the less and in consideration of the above critics and considerations, I give it a 5 star because it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick? NO! Because it has a dependable rating and has other features that are a given convenience. Especially when I used my buddies fridge in Germany not long ago.

Great refrigerator. We haven't had it long and we're still learning the different options available on the LG. I can tell you that this fridge has more room than our old fridge. Also, having the freezer as a slide out drawer at the bottom third of the unit is much more convenient. Finally, the french door option makes grabbing a cold drink much easier and convenient.

My new refrigerator is very nice. I had a 10 year old Kenmore Elite that was slightly larger than this one. This is the largest one I could find now. It has a lot of good features that are useful. Craft ice is one I am not into, but does make a large piece of round ice if you like that. I am very happy with this appliance.

Lots of capacity and enjoying the easy access door. Love the call for water. Craft ice component is a nice added feature for cocktails but doesn’t produce as much as expected. Make sure to measure you can get into the house and space. Best Buy has always been great about price match.

I bought this mainly for the Craft ice but it turned out to be a great fridge tons of space everything works really well on my last fridge the sliding drawers would get stuck I do not have that issue on this one. My only complaint would be that the standard ice storage is bit small.

Had this LG Fridge for approx 8months now, the craft Ice Balls are pretty kool, the fridge air fresher is a game changer, this fridge is a win. Consumer Report had this ranked #1, thank you CR for pointing us in this direction.

Love this fridge but did not realize that it would not be magnetic on the front in black stainless steel. Love that there is two ice makers and the ice balls are perfect for mixed beverages.

Love the door in door. It is so convenient to store condiments and drinks that we use most for easy access. Changing the air and water filters is a snap. No more stretching and straining to change the water filter! The print proof stainless steel is truly print proof. So very glad we chose this product.

This is a good looking refrigerator, and it operates really well. The temperature holds, and the Wi-Fi feature is nice for keeping up with filters, and settings. Only issue, and the reason for my rating, is that the craft ice balls only worked for about 9 months. My parents have this same model, and a good friend does as well, and each of us stopped getting these balls within a year of purchase. The regular ice maker is fine, but the craft ice maker seems to have a lot of issues.

Fridge is turning 2 and has been a great purchase. Haven’t had 1 issue. Only problem I have had is the door would open when I close the other side. A few leveling adjustments and all good. We love the ice balls for our adult drinks.

It may not have the "Display" but you need to ask yourself. Do you really want people looking into your dirty unorganized fridge. Love the "Balls" of ice or makes. Now that I have it I can't live without it. The app is great. It just works.

The best we've ever had! large capacity!! I had two refrigerators and was able to put entire contents into the new one. the delivery guys were great! They had to go all the way around to the backyard & remove the sliding glass door which it still just barely fit. They had no complaints or attitude. Thank you.
