It was an interesting battle over which fridge to get. We had a Samsung with in the door ice maker and although the fridge is still working, the ice maker finally stopped. We decided we wanted an ice maker in the freezer drawer, but water on the outside. Most models with ice makers in the drawer have the water inside in a little spout, which I saw as disaster when I have my 4 grandkids over, as they drink a lot of water and they would constantly have to open the fridge to replenish. OR the other option is the water pitcher inside, but still didn't want to have open the door to get at water source. This model fit the bill! Literally as well! We bought it for $1500 and so far so good. Some reviews talked about the sound of the ice dropping and the water refill to the tray. Yes, I agree, it is a little louder than our in the door, but it is quick and after a month it becomes white noise. It really is a non issue at this point. Getting the ice maker in the drawer, besides the fact that having an in the door ice maker is a crazy concept as the unit is inside the refrigerator which is a higher temp that it should be to make ice work correctly (it gets a bit warmer, melts a bit and then jams up) we have gained a bunch of space NOT having the in the door ice maker! More room on the door shelves and new found space where the old ice maker would have been inside the refrigerator. So that is a big win for us! Also, getting the fingerprintless model has proved successful so far. Be careful to check your model number and the end letter should be "S". So far it is so much better at not leaving fingerprints than our old Samsung. I do have some small things I wish were a bit different. The drawers seem to be a bit more flimsy than they should be. Also, there is clear plastic shield over the deli draw center that gets in the way. Our old drawer had the shield, but it would lift a bit to get out of the way so we could get to the back of the drawer a bit easier. (see pic) The drawers don't pull out far enough to make it super easy to grab and go. Make sure you can open you door more than halfway so you can pull the deli drawer out far enough to get to the back of it. (see pic) I also wish they would make movable dividers in the deli drawer, but I just went to Dollar Tree and bought trays to organize...so not a deal breaker! Right now we are 99% satisfied with this model. All fridges have their issues, all models, brands can have great review and negative reviews. You just have to pick the features you want and go with it!

We needed a new refrigerator and we chose the French Door model with the external water dispenser. LOVE ❤️ it! Big and spacious inside. I like the placement of the light inside the frig and freezer, nice and bright to see everything. I’ll finally be able to place my cookie sheets in the frig to chill the shaped cookies before baking them nicely on flat shelf surface. I always was balancing the sheet pan on top of other items. I also really like the pullout freezer below. I feel the items are better seen. And thankfully fingerprints do not show up on outside doors!

I spent a long time shopping for a new fridge and finally settled on this one based on size and price. Had to install it ourselves because we live in rural WY and they don't deliver that far (120 miles away). No issues setting it up at all. In the book it said to expect a lot of noise when it was first plugged in but it was so quiet that I didn't think it was running. Very roomy, everything fit nicely. The external water dispenser is awesome and the ice is right here in the freezer so I don't miss the ice in the door. Plus no ice in the door means no icemaker taking up room in the fridge! All in all I am vry pleased with my purchase

Great value, capacity both fridge and freezer, lots of ice. Nothing fancy here to breakdown. Just a good looking French door freezer from a highly rated company. The water dispenser took some time to find the sweet spot. I like the slim design, and it makes for plenty of inside door space. But the dispenser doesn’t sit recessed within the door, so the port fires at an angle. The pressure is great, but the angle and the way it sticks out lead to a few spills. It really just means you have to be a split second more patient before moving cups away from the port. And extra caution needed when filling narrow bottles. In my mind, this isn’t a deal breaker.

Loving this fridge! We upgraded to an ice maker indie water dispenser outside. It's fantastic! The only problem I have is slight- the water shoots out pretty fast and string, often splashing out of the glass with or without ice in it. There's soooooo much space inside! We still have empty space in there. That wanted not the casewith our last fridge. Our six year old eats a lot of frozen pizza. That was a concern before we bought this- whether or not frozen pizzas would fit in the freezer drawer. They do!! Oh! The delivery guys had a heck of a time getting it in through the doorways. They did it, but I don't I could have done it without them.

I’m enjoying this highly rated refrigerator. It looks great and has stayed clean so far (no finger prints. Without the indoor ice, the fridge has a massive amount of room. The storage on the doors alone can hold a lot more than you think. With the ice in the freezer, you do loose some freezer space. However, I think I like the ice in a tray since it’s easy to take out and fill a cooler than it would be from the door. The linear compressor make it very efficient. Although it is advertised as “wifi” on the Best Buy website, it does NOT connect to wifi. It is not compatible. I do not see a need personally to connect to wifi unless there’s a camera in there. Overall, a great fridge and great deal when on sale.

I love this refrigerator! It is so large and I can fit everything in it. I like having the water on the door and I don't mind having to get the ice out of the freezer container. My old refrigerator was a lemon and I had to have someone come out every couple of months to fix/replace the ice maker. I am moving and will not be able to take this refrigerator with me and I am bummed. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator!

I love this refrigerator. Is is so roomy and bright. The side shelves are sturdy and holds a lot. Everyone compliments it. It makes lots of ice and the water on the door is handy and tastes good. I recommend it.

About a month in, and we are very pleased with our decision to get this fridge. We went from a side by side which we loved, but the ice maker in the door had broken two years in. Kept it because we thought we loved that fridge for our family of four...now we see what we were missing. This is a larger fridge, but not in height or width: it’s deeper. No joke that everything we had in the door and first shelf (including gallon jugs) all fits in the doors of this one. That leaves a lot of space for everything else. The depth means that some items could get shoved to the back and lost, but we’ve found there’s simply so much room that we don’t need to stuff the shelves. I put ice in every drink and was concerned about bending over every single time I get a drink. When opening the freezer door, it automatically pulls the ice tray out — making it not half the challenge I anticipated. I really wanted an ice maker in the door - I now consider that a non-necessity. And I’m told that ice makers in doors are the #1 item to break. I believe it. So I can live with just water in the door - and a very strong stream at that. Other comments on getting used to the angle of water dispensing are legit, though certainly no big deal. It’s stainless steel in front only but as it sticks out a bit from our wall, the difference between the side and front isn’t noticeable. This was a great decision for our family. We really do love this fridge.

So much space! Love the in-door water dispenser that does not take up any room in the door. Other models with ice in door (even ones that say slim) could not hold a gallon milk or 2 liter soda in door on the left side door because of needing space for the ice chute. This can hold both on both sides and makes plenty of ice in the freezer underneath which I actually prefer. Originally was looking at Samsung but heard bad stories about reliability

We are LOVING this fridge! It hits every button for us. 100% recommend! Pros: gorgeous ice maker in the freezer is a great feature great filtered water -- easy access and can use large bottles huge! can fit soooooooooooo much in there shelves are sturdy produce drawers are perfect really is fingerprint-proof good value Cons: hmmm, can't think of any

I love the way the refrigerator looks and how big it is. However, I am having issues with trying to keep ice and the freezer holding the correct temp. Seems like I am only getting 20-30 cubes of ice per day....not a lot for four people. I read where it was ideal to keep the freezer at -4 degrees for optimal ice production, but I have the freezer set there and it still does not help. Neither does putting on the extra ice feature. Also, I put thermometers in the freezer and fridge and the fridge seems to consistently hold the temp at 35 degrees for the most part, but the freezer is between 0-10 degrees fahrenheit when I have it set at -4!!! Have only had it about three weeks. Will give it another week or so before I decide what to do.

We've had this LG fridge for three weeks and we love it! It replaced our 13-year-old LG French Door Fridge. This new fridge is more spacious with 29 Cu. Ft. and very practical. It fits beautifully in our kitchen. The door shelves provide a lot more room than our prior product. Having the ice maker in the freezer frees up space in the left fridge door and provides us with plenty of ice. The slim water dispenser works well. It's a better design than our previous fridge. The ice maker is fairly quiet and I purchased an ice scoop which resides in the ice tray. Reading other reviews before purchasing this fridge, I was curious how well it cooled both the fridge portion and the freezer so I purchased two fridge thermometers. The freezer's temperature is accurate and matches the display on the door. The fridge temperature varies +/- 3º depending where I place the thermometer. We are very pleased with this fridge and hope it will last as long, if not longer, than our first LG French Door fridge.

Really spacious, plenty of shelving, at first worried about freezer size but freezer is actually very roomy , love the two ice maker function, door dispenser and fresaste bin for es yea ice. Quick ice maker function is a big plus, fingerprint s wipe off easily, Very Happy with purchase so far!!

This fridge has a ton of room in it. I’m good with the fact that it doesn’t have an ice maker for the front dispenser as it saves a lot of room and money. We hardly used the ice dispenser on our old fridge and it’s easy enough just to open the freezer drawer and grab some ice from that when we need it. Yes, there is an ice maker right in the freezer. The other advantage is that since it’s just water that can be dispensed in the front, the nozzle is farther forward, making it easier for larger water bottles to be filled. You can fit 2 gallons of milk in each of the bottom trays in the doors. With all the room this fridge has, we’ve yet to run out of room. The print proof finish is nice too. We recommend this fridge.

Choose to wait a few months after purchasing this refrigerator to really use it and give my best opinion. I ABSOLUTELY love it! The space is amazing, water dispenser is a PLUS. Best part about that is the filters are cheap and aren’t astronomically priced. The icemaker stays up on its job and love the cubes. I am beyond happy with my purchase and now will be replacing my microwave, oven and dishwasher to match

We love our refrigerator. It's a great size for us! Very roomy, looks great! No complaints! We have the one with the water dispenser only in the door (no ice), but I rarely ever use ice, but you can order one with the icemaker on the door if you want one, they didn't have it in stock when we needed to purchase, so it made sense for us to go with the water dispenser only.
