Great Monitor

Great monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the widescreen monitor. Only downside is there’s no built in speaker, but since the display is amazing for the price, decided that doesn’t affect the review

Great monitors at a good price!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using two LG 29UM68-P 29" IPS LED Monitors for over two years now and they have been fantastic. The display is solid, brightness and contrast good for most environments. The stand is reasonably stable. Like most displays of this type, it has an LCD panel covering that is very difficult to clean, other than by dusting. Most cleaning substances tend to smear oils across the display, so I recommend that it not be touched with bare hands. That said, it is a high value display, low cost for the performance.

Great monitor for desk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is easy to set up and love the width to be able to see things better. Wouldn't use this for a 2 monitor set up unless you have a huge desk!

Perfect 1080p ultrawide for Gaming/Productivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this monitor for nearly 2 years now. Freesync compatibility with G-Sync GPU is amazing and works flawlessly. No flickering other than when you initially make the change to use G-Sync, but once it syncs? up and the change has been made it is straight butter! No flickering at all. Comes in handy for beasts like Ghost Recon Wildlands, even with my GTX 1080. Still no dead pixels and no issues since initial purchase. Deep blacks for an IPS and more color settings for fine tuning when compared to my AW3418DW... disappointed with the Alienware black levels and setting options. Minimal light bleed in the lower left hand corner but only noticeable from an all-black screen so it isn't a problem. Overclocks to 75 HZ without any issues in Windows or gaming. Great colors in general. Perfect size for 1080p ultrawide. 1080p at 34" is very blurry but at 29" the pixel density is spot on and crisp still. The OSD uses a joystick at the bottom of the panel. It is front and center and easy to located and navigate. Once of the most genus features you can have on a monitor. Anti-glare on screen is great. The only negative I have is that the plastic on the stand has lots of micro-scratches from cleaning, even though i use soft cloth. The screen withstood typical cleaning with sprays and microfiber cloth. May want to use a Swiffer duster from day one when dusting the stand and rest of the plastic on the back. Overall, one of the most solid products I've ever purchased, thank you LG.

Really Good Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Plenty of Realstate to work, game, and use for day to day computing needs, the fact that it goes to sleep when you are not using a device and once you turn it on it turns on the screen is a plus as well. Cons: Lack of onboard speakers, Limited Input Ports(1 HDMI, and 1 Display port), and if you use Xbox you can go max screen size, but games will become warped making characters look short and wide. In all, it is a very good monitor and will probably be picking up a second one as a gift for my brother.

YUUUGE Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is a game changer. I stare at screens a lot: I'm a photographer, a teacher, and work remotely about 1/3 of my time, depending on the gig. Colors: The colors on this monitor are outstanding. Super clarity, contrast, and good settings to adjust as needed. It also as multiple gamer modes that seem to make an impact. My photos look fantastic -- I can see stellar details and clarity I couldn't before on the. It has a reader mode, too, that limits blue light. Great for grading student papers, or reading online for long stretches. Physical Space: I had two monitors on a swivel mount/bar. It took up a TON of space, and I hated that I stared at the middle of the mount, which was a bar. Now, I can look straight on, and sit more comfortable, and have so much real estate back on my desk (which is an antique mid century piece, so wasn't ever designed for a computer). The stand it sits on is a lot shallower than I was expecting, too. Space saving alone, getting more space back was worth the price I paid on cyber Monday ($185 with tax). I was worried the 29" was going to be too small, but it's absolutely perfect for sitting at a desk, looking straight on. Gaming: Tomb Raider booted right up and full 21:9 aspect. Wolfenstein New Order did not -- it was fully stretched out. I'll need to tinker more with that, but Tomb Raider look amazing -- and I can't a wait to do more gaming on this monitor. It was easy to turn on FreeSync, too. Con: The bezel really IS that thin, BUT the graphics don't display to its edge. Kinda strange, but there is a 1/2 inch of black strip. Definitely a misleading photo on this page -- see the one I updated for a better look at it. Not a deal breaker for me for the price, which was an absolutely steal. Bottom line: If you can get this for under $200, stop guessing and just order it. This is the upgrade to your monitors that you've been waiting for, and I am blown away. Kudos to BestBuy, I had this on my front door in 48 hours of ordering.

Good overall monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 21:9 ratio makes for a bigger space for productivity, but some older apps can't handle it natively. Not a big deal if you're ok with windowed use. The biggest issue is if some other HDMI ports were cut for cost-savings. (I've seen older versions with 3 HDMI ports.) And I can't comment on Freesync performance as I have an nVidia card.

Great Budget Widescreen
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a monitor that would be considered budget in the widescreen market. It is 1080p, IPS, and glorious. a 29 inch wide is pretty much like having two 24 inch monitors side by side. The packaging was secure and set is easy, just have to assemble the two piece stand, and clip it to the monitor. I like the stand's vertical adjustability and tilt. Not horizontal adjustments possible.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size and picture of the screen are just what I was looking for, but there are some definite downsides. To start, no speakers on this model. Next up is the rigid desktop stand. The monitor does not swivel, tilt, or raise up and down, so unless you have the perfect desk/chair height and angle you are looking for you could be disappointed.

I will never go back to a regular widescreen again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was torn between this monitor and a 27" and I am so glad I decided on the ultra wide. The picture quality is amazing, very crisp and feels fast. The extra width makes editing music and video easier giving you more room to work , and playing first person shooter games it gives you a noticeably wider field of view. I will never buy another non ultra wide screen again and for the money I am more than pleased with this purchase. trust me, you will not regret this ultrawide...

Great real estate! Down to one monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My hobbies require that I have lots of windows open and the ability to split this monitor into 4 different zones is a nice feature. But having the space to open and rearrange windows to suite my operating style is great. I am down to one monitor after quite some time. I'm also an amateur photographer and synching the color aspects to Lightroom and Photoshop was easy and spot on. No built in speakers if you're looking for that.....
