Out of the blue just died in less than 3 years. Part of a 3 monitor setup, the other two are collectively 19 years old.....

So far so good no issues with the LG - 29 IPS LED HD 21:9 UltraWide Monitor.

This monitor is easy on the eyes and responsive. The resolution is good also.

Bought this for the Mac Mini but it is not compatible.

This monitor is decent. They make another 29" ultrawide that has more professional features for color control. It's been difficult to calibrate this monitor accurately for my professional work.

I just picked up one of these earlier today, as I've been wanting to get into the ultrawide game for a while now, and couldn't resist at the current sale price of $249. I read online that these displays have issues displaying in their true 2560x1080 resolution when connected to a Mac, but my 12" MacBook paired via HDMI immediately displayed at 2560x1080. Text is sharp, colors pop, and looks pretty good on my desk. Couldn't ask for more at this price honestly. Definitely worth a look if you're in the market for a new monitor.

I purchase this during the Black Friday sale was a little bit hesitant. I didn't really need a new monitor but for the work I do, I needed something a bit wider. Once this bad boy came in and set it up, I was drooling at the colors this screen produce. It's vibrate, clear and crisp. It's bright in a good way. I'm running Windows 10 and download the split screen software from their website. Not really necessary since Windows 10 can split the screen into 3. The LG software splits up to 4 and gives you different options. The OSD is easy to us but the mode/selection is a bit confusing. I can't seem to get the monitor out of Gaming mode but found that that I had to change the picture display. I would change out the HDMI cable that was provided with the monitor. I guess the box came with a bad HDMI cable which caused the screen to blink. Switch out to some Amazonbasic cable and it's good to go. Some people may think the speaker is built-in. It's not. There is output 3.5 mm jack to connect it to an external speaker and you can control the volume from the monitor. A little misleading but I have USB speakers so I didn't dock a star. Overall, this monitor is freaking awesome. I would definitely purchase another one for a dual screen setup.

So I purchased this bad boy during the labor day sale and was pretty impressed. I'm actually going from a 27" Acer to this 29" LG ultra wide and although the screen size is slightly smaller, the wideness factor makes up for it in a big way. I play lots of FPS games and absolutely love messing with the FOV (Field of View) settings because I can see 180 degrees. This gives me a distinct advantage from other gamers. Battlefield 4 looks insane on this monitor at 2560x1080 resolution. Other games I play: Ark, Hardline and DayZ. Not all games are set to run this unique resolution so do some research before you purchase. I also use the monitor for the weekly budget and since it's a widescreen, it makes things easy to use with side-by-side spreadsheets. Keep in mind if you're a movie enthusiast with Netflix or Amazon Prime you may be a little disappointed as they still have the Black bars on left/right sides. This is largely due to the fact these businesses do not support 2560x1080. Regular movies look pristine and vertical lines on widescreen titles are non existent. Overall, this is a snazzy monitor. If you're a gamer I highly recommend. If you're looking for a classy monitor that not only looks great, but eliminates the need for a second monitor... look no further. The only con you will run into is the cost of these ultra wide's. I purchased this for $199 on sale and it's currently selling at $299 which is still a good price. If you're looking for a higher class monitor, check out the Samsung 29" S29E790C (Or 34" Samsung if you dare spend that type of cash). You'll pay double the price as I did for this monitor, but it looks a little sleeker. Just a few specifics on this monitor: It has a bright LED display and needs to be turned down. Colors/Blacks look as good or better than any previous monitor I've purchased. The LG 29" Ultra Wide has a shiny Black bezel which is appealing to the eye and has a matte screen. The native resolution is "Obviously" at 2560x1080 and the 5ms response time is just fine although many people refuse to get anything that isn't 1-2ms. The unique resolution is great , but there are games which will only be playable with 1980x1080. Check reviews before you purchase! Also, if you have a GPU of at least a GTX960 or above, you should be fine. There are no DVI/VGA inputs; however, this monitor has two HDMI ports. There are no USB ports!!! I know one review on Best Buy indicated it did have a couple, but this is simply inaccurate. Would I purchase this again: Yes! Would I recommend this monitor to a friend: Um... yeah! Happy with my purchase and hope this will assist someone out there who has/had questions on this product. Enjoy!

Bought this monitor for the darling husband. He needed a new monitor since the daughter took one of his. With this wide monitor he does not need two monitors anymore to accommodate all the screens he needs to have open for work. I like it because it does not take over his whole desk. I can still see him. It is wide, but not too tall. He likes the resolution and size. All in all a winner.

This monitor is outstanding and I really like the features! IT IS MAC COMPATABLE AND WINDOWS COMPATABLE!! The screen is more like a matte finish than glossy, so the glare is minimal. PLEASE READ! THE SPLIT SCREEN FOR THIS MONITOR IS OS X COMPATABLE WITH ONLY THE FOLLOWING VERSIONS OF OS X: 10.9 AND 10.10. IF YOU HAVE OS X YOSEMITE, THE SPLIT SCREEN WILL NOT WORK UNTIL THE NEXT UPDATE FROM LG BECOMES AVAILABLE. This monitor comes with a CD for split screen and Dual Control downloads. In my case, My Mac Mini does not have a CD Drive. All software downloads are available from the LG Website at: www.lg.com. This is helpful because I do not want to buy an external CD drive. All in all, great monitor and I really recommend it to anyone! If you cannot get split screen functionality, you can always re adjust your windows in the app (email, internet, etc.) to fit multiple windows on the screen.

I always use dual monitors at work, but only one larger monitor at home. I've been toying with the idea of adding another one at home, but then saw a review on-line for this baby. WOW! Gaming on this is awesome, The ability to have two full size webpages/Excel spreadsheets/Word documents/etc open side-bu-side is cool - and the ability to have your Xbox/PlayStation/Nintendo on here along side your PC monitor is really cool! Heck you could even use this with 2 Xboxes!

This is a wide screen, good picture quality, easy set up, has two HDMI. However, the screen has little features, for example, there is only two HDMI inputs available, no remote controls

This is a very nice Monitor. I have not had it long, but it has performed excellently. Also, I had not a one dead or stuck pixel. It is very wide. To think I almost went with a 34 inch! This takes up 3/4 of my desk compared to my old 25" monitor. it took up less than half. I love to watch movies on this. not all movies can be watched at native resolution. so keep that in mind. The movies that don't will have black bars on each side. and when you do watch a movie that is supported it's breathtaking. the colors are not eye popping. Yes, it's IPS But it's nothing like a mac cinema. So if that's what you are looking for then you will be sorry. But for regular use like gaming and photo editing it is a dream. not professional editing. don't take that the wrong way. but the colors are a lot better than most IPS I have seen at this price. I'm very happy with the split screen so I can do my video editing easier. I love this monitor especially for the price I got it for. I got it on labor day sale for $199.99 free shipping. Shipping was ok took 4 days to get it to me from a best buy store that was only 40 miles away. I don't get how I can get something from California in 3 days with free shipping, but it took 4 days from the same state that is 47 min drive. oh well, I didn't feel like driving and was not impatient. At the current price of $299 it still not a bad deal considering I, can't find this same monitor for under $300 anyplace right now. hell, I could have got an open box for $159 in excellent condition but I will always buy new. get it love it and won't regret it for the people that do spreadsheets and video editing it's a dream come true.

I had to grab one of these for myself over the Black Friday sale. I had seen them go down to the same price once before and regretfully did not pick one up. No way was I letting that happen again. Talk about a beautiful monitor. This is huge and the clarity is awesome. No need for dual monitors if you decide to pick one of these up. Plus, it can be mounted, which is a must have for me. This was a steal of a deal.

Going from a Samsung 27" LED Monitor to this LG 29" IPS Ultrawide was a blessing for photo editing. The extra usable space due to the higher resolution is great. Also the sharpness and blacks are a step up. I also do a bit of gaming on it, and the quality of the picture is extremely good. My primary use is graphics editing and watching movies and it does both better than any other monitor I have owned.

I purchased this as my second monitor for my 2014 iMac. I am beyond pleased with it's clarity, color depth and price. It's a great monitor!

Before buying this monitor, I did some research first. For the price and size, this is the best bang for your buck! Nice resolution and indeed wide! My husband likes it so far:) It was a good purchase overall.
