The LG 29” IPS UltraWide FHD Monitor sounded great on paper, but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to my expectations—especially considering it’s from LG, a brand that usually delivers really solid display quality. I was excited to try an ultrawide for the extra screen real estate, but the 29-inch size ended up feeling awkward. It wasn’t quite tall enough to be comfortable for everyday use, and the extra width didn’t make up for that missing vertical space. Instead of feeling immersive or efficient, the proportions just felt a little off. The color quality was another disappointment. LG is known for vibrant, accurate colors and great IPS panels, so I expected something crisp and lively. Instead, the display looked a bit dull and washed out, even after adjusting the settings. I kept trying to tweak the picture modes to find something that felt right, but nothing really popped the way I hoped it would. For a brand with such a strong reputation in monitors and TVs, it just didn’t meet the usual standard. The 100Hz refresh rate and FreeSync support are nice on paper, but they don’t mean much if the overall image quality isn’t satisfying. I found myself wanting to return to my previous monitor because the viewing experience just wasn’t enjoyable. It’s a shame, because I really wanted to like it. Overall, this model didn’t deliver the color or clarity I expect from LG, and the ultrawide format in this size didn’t feel comfortable or practical. It might work for someone who specifically wants a smaller ultrawide for casual use, but for me, it fell short in both visuals and usability.

I think this is a good buy for anyone looking for a general-purpose home/office monitor, and I would've given it 5 stars. Unfortunately, I have to subtract 2 stars. One because of the stand they include, which is absolutely atrocious. The other because the power cord isn't long enough to accommodate my standing desk, so I had to use an extension cable. LG, if you read this... would it kill you to put a better stand in the box, even if you have to charge a little more for the product?

Good monitor for Work purposes. Not good as a main monitor as you cannot game on it and does it’s job well as only a second monitor. Lasted me for a year now and counting. (Can only run 60fps)

Too small diagonally, as advertised and for an IPS panel with 100 hz, the price is fair and the size is justified.

It was a so so item it came with no sound I get that most people connect their own speakers and such but it would be good in product listing for things like monitors if in product description it would state flat out no sound support

Not as tall as my previous monitor but I like that it’s wider! It doesn’t feel as stable though and wiggles when moved. I try not to adjust it from its place though and made it work. Best Buy needs to do better quality check on open box items. Said it was excellent condition but it was missing the screws that secure the monitor to the base. Called customer support but they wouldn’t reimburse me for the hassle of having to search and buy the right size screws!

Screen is large but the viewing angle is causing me problems as my laptop is covering 25% of the desktop screen. Preferably, LG should have given height adjustment stand instead of a fixed stand.

Brought this for my wife who needed a monitor for her macmini. Was works well not has nice as I had hoped. Colors are ok, when you watch certain things , you need to adjust the sizing on your computer. Again does not stretch well to fit the picture.

The Resolution its not that good I use it for Graphic Design purposes, but didn’t work..

if there are speakers on this monitor they don’t work but the view of the monitor is great
