Returned, no surround effect

The center channel sounds were great but we got nothing from the top or side firing speakers so there was no surround sound effect. I suspect its because the room is asymmetrical and it works better in a square room. The additional speakers were expensive with not great reviews, so we went with the Samsung instead.

Subwoofer keeps disconnecting

Every time I turn it on, I get a message to unplug the subwoofer. Nothing else is disconnecting in my set up, Basically I have a soundbar with minimal bass.

Subwoofer does not come on

I barely use it. Called LG and their preferred technician is 90minutes away from San Antonio.

Rampant Subwoofer Disconnection Problems

I have even gone as far as disabling my wifi to see if that would do the job but since I have neighbors, it’s likely that their wireless signals are interfering with the sound bar’s connection. It is beyond unacceptable that in this day and age where literally every home has multiple wireless devices a company would manufacture something so prone to malfunction in such an environment. It’s just as bad that nowhere is there an advisory detailing any of this.

Problems with Main Circuit Board

It is paired with my 65" Sony TV. I got it because I wanted a fairly priced ATMOS and LG is usually a good name. Not in this case. I have had to return TWICE now fir same warranty issue... sound starts going in and out. They replaced same Main Circut Board in both cases, but couldn't tell me why this happened twice. But in both cases, I had the hassle of dismounting from TV mount, taking it into Best Buy, and then waiting three weeks with NO sound bar while it is repaired. If you but an LG Soundbar be sure to purchase the Best But Warranty Coverage.... otherwise, you will have to mail this unit back to LG yourself!!!!

Stay away!

Disappointed in LG soundbars again

Dead after 1 year and light use.

I have put this volume on max twice when watching stranger things. First time with the fourth season part 1 and again with part 2. Maybe lower your max settings volume if the system can't handle it. Crapped out at the beginning of season 4 part 2. Wasted money and low quality, I am in a very small room and can only get movie theater sound at max volume. Well, you get what you pay for, gotta go for a better product next time.

DOLBY ATMOS HAS MAJOR LIP SYNC DELAY. DO NOT BUY.

There is a 1-2 second sound lag any time you try to use Dolby Atmos. The audio NEVER matches the video. I’ve done an extensive amount of research online and everyone is having this problem. Apparently it’s a problem that LG needs to solve but it doesn’t even seem like they’ve addressed it at all. This problem is unfixable right now and makes movies unwatchable. DO NOT BUY FOR DOLBY ATMOS. The sound Quality is excellent other than that but you might as well save some money and get another sound bar that has just as much sound quality without Dolby Atmos.

Try something else.

Unfortunately I didn't pay for tech support and I threw away the box because I would've never imagined the subwoofer to keep loosing signal. Now I can't return it. Since it has to be connected to the same wifi/bluetooth receptor losses signal causing the system to be on and off during a show. Which makes it very annoying. Now I'm stuck with a very expensive surround system that doesn't work as it's meant to. Hence, the reason for the one star ⭐. Should have listened to a similar review I read.
