Pros: Quiet; Large capacity; LED lighting is bright and plentiful; excellent design and utilization of freezer space; air filter prevents/reduces smells Cons: Stainless shows fingerprints; ice maker is slow to produce high volume of ice, but eventually gets there We've had this now for three weeks, and all five in our family like this fridge. The ice maker seemed slow to start producing adequate amounts of ice, but got there after 3-4 days. After that first few days, there were six (five of us plus a visiting friend) of us in the home and not once did we come close to running out of ice, despite the summer season. The cubes are smaller, which is OK, and the ice maker is so quiet it's difficult to hear it working, but it does. It's in the door itself, so it's out of sight and out of mind. Overall a functional and attractive design. We opted to get the 4 year warranty, despite a general aversion to such products, because in our area there are likely few repair people who work with LG.

We've had this fridge since July and its performed great. Looks great inside and out. We use a lot of ice and this thing never runs out - not sure what some of the other posts are talking about. Has a LOT of storage, we barely use half! Lots of functional adjustable shelves, drawers, etc. This is a big fridge, luckily we have enough clearance in front but it still surprised us when it got set up. Keeps very good temperature, we haven't had spoiled milk yet (unlike our old fridge). Retail price is high, but we paid $2250 which is significantly cheaper than other smaller models. So wait for the sale! It is also whisper quiet - you never hear the motor or icemaker.

I did research on french door refrigerators for over a month. I looked at many brands and kept coming back to LG. This is the hands down largest and still the most attractive one I found. We are a family of five and have a secondary freezer for all frozen items. What I liked most was the amount of food you can keep in just the refrigerator section. I kept going back and forth between the 27.6 and 31.0 about $ 300 difference. The 31.0 has much better drawers and lighting. At the end of the day trust me you will be happy you purchased the larger unit.

This is a big beautiful fridge to look at that fits into a regular side by side fridge space without customization of wood cabinet space but does stick out farther 2 inches. The fridge holds a lot as long as you organize well. I love the inside lighting and how high end the outside and inside look. Having said that if we did not have to have a functioning fridge this would be fantastic to look at but I need a fridge that works well! Fridge doors slam noisy, we still have no water/ice after 3 days of bestbuy install (we did all the troubleshooting in the manual), ice maker is the size made for a single person, when we open the doors the whole fridge slides out. Freezer is slow to freeze. I like to think all things good but this is too much work and hassle for too much money. I can fully understand why it was greatly marked down. We also own a LG washer/dryer and tv with no issues after years of use. If I cannot get bestbuy to fix within a few days this is going back.

I am thrilled with my new LG refrigerator! It is attractive, extremely spacious and practical. I love that the compressor turns off when you open the door so that you don't waste the cool air into the kitchen. I love the warm lights inside and out that don't shine too bright in your eyes but instead have a romantic feeling. I even love the shape of the little ice cubes; they are square instead of a half-moon. This refrigerator utilizes every inch of space possible. Like all things that are computerized, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty just in case. I'm sure if something breaks on this refrigerator, it will be very costly. I'm glad I got this one!

Although we've only had it installed for less then a week my wife and I are extremly pleased overall. Very roomy ,quiet and well lit. The only complaint we have is we feel the condiment shelving could be a little bigger or maybe just a little wider. Ice quanity isn't great as I've read in most reviews, fortunately were not real big ice users, but hey it works we haven't had one thats worked right yet and totally love that it's intergrated in door and doesn't take up valuable room in the freezer. Love the fact that you can open either door separately unlike alot of others we looked at. One last complaint it's so roomy I don't think we could ever fill it (lol)

I love this refrigerator! I purchased this item online for my kitchen remodel in September 2011. We are a large family and we cook alot! I never had a refrig that had ice and filtered water on the outside or felt like I had enough space for 2-3 gals of milk a week. It is very spacious and has lots of places for things.The ice maker is quiet and the led lights inside allow you to see every thing. The freezer handle release makes pulling open the freezer a breeze. The 2 sliding shelves in the freezer allows for better organization and less searching through the freezer for items. Two things I think would work better. The fruits and vegetable drawers would probably fit bulk packages of fresh fruits and vegetables if they were 2 big ones instead of three. The humidity control needs to have a more controlled adjustment. The control slides too easily and doesn't stay where you put it. Otherwise I love this refrigerator. I got it at a great price and has so far been a great purchase.

This was not my first choice actually. It was the 27 inch model. This model fit into my kitchen space without any effort. My wife loves this refrigerator. She goes on and on about the space and the ability to store so much. Whole large pizza boxes fit into it with room for water melons cut in half. As you may have guessed my grocery bill has grown because she wants to see just how much she can fit into it. I must admit I am curious as well.

There is soooo much space in the refrigerator that it is hard to fill it up. The only drawback is that the ice maker is made completely in the door. This leaves a lot of extra space in the refrigerator, but takes away space for the amount of ice cubes that can be stored in the door. There is a container in the freezer that you can pour ice in once you fill the ice maker, but that's a minor incovenience compared to the benefits. One other plus is the BRIGHT lighting in the refrigetor. You almost need to wear shades when you open the door. GREAT refrigerator.

Large internal capacity with same footprint as our older, smaller fridge. Extremely quiet and bright (love the LED lighting). Very functional storage in fridge and freezer. Nice motor warranty and BB has quick and easy delivery.... I highly recommend this to anyone.

I went from a side-by-side to a french door & this literally has changed my life. The lighting is so bright & the space is ideal. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new refrigerator. It's also so quiet! I didn't realize how loud my old refrigerator was until I got this one.

Love the space! Ice had a hard time keeping up in the beginning but seems to be better now. Really no complaints about the fridge. Had some issues with Best Buy and their ability to get it delivered when they said they would but that has nothing to do with the fridge. (And BB did eventually make it right.) Overall we are very pleased with the appliance. I do wish that the ice maker had better output.

Pros: -Great lighting - using lots of long lasting LED lighting -Huge space on shelving and in doors -Quiet Cons: -Small ice cubes - but I suspect this makes it more efficient and use less energy - using the ice box in the main freezer is a must as the ice maker doesn't keep much.

We replaced our existing Whirlpool refrigerator with this LG stainless steel model. Although our former fridge was working fine, upgrading our kitchen to stainless meant a new fridge, too. We couldn't be happier with the LG. The space efficiency is remarkable, along with the aesthetic appearance of LED lighting inside. We were concerned there wouldn't be sufficient volume of ice with LG's space-saving icemaker, but our concerns were unfounded. For everyday use, there's always plenty of ice to go around. For holiday events we made a quick trip to the store to grab an extra bag of ice in case the need arose, but even that was unnecessary. At the end of the day we couldn't be happier with our purchase, and the gentlemen who installed our fridge were top-notch and professional.

The Ice maker makes more than enough ice for my family who drink tons of ice water everyday. we have never run out of ice. tons of space for everything, I finally have enough room for fresh fruits and vegis for the whole week. the stainless is easy to keep clean with my little ones. we love it!!!

I have had this fridge for less than a week, but that is long enough to know the the ice maker sucks. It makes baby size ice cubes at a snails pace. Even though I have it turned up to the extra ice mode, I have had to buy a bag of ice every day. The side by side I had previously made plenty of ice for us. Really disappointing. The thru the door water dispenser is above the push pad like a water spout and spills water when trying to fill large mugs. One thing I was looking for in a fridge was ice and water dispenser for large size mugs. This fridge had the space in door for mug but no ice and you can't fill mug without spilling. The fridge also said textured surface, that is only the sides and top, front is not textured and shows every fingerprint. The inside of the fridge is great, lots if space, easy access to everything. The freezer is like having a small chest type on bottom of fridge. Holds lots of food.

Very nice, well built, awesome lighting and functional refrigerator, and extremely quiet! The only thing is hope the area where you serve ice and water would not scratch, it is pretty much new and already shows a number of scratches from putting the glasses against the surface to push for water/ice. Other than that, we are very happy with this purchase.

After receiving the LG product the very next day we noticed that the top freezer drawer was covered with a thin layer of ice. Later in the week we called LG and they promptly sent out a factory repairman. He replaced the seal but after two more days the freezer drawer was still covered with ice. Went back to Best Buy and they decide to have a new unit delivered. The next day after receiving the 2nd refridgerator the “new” unit had the same issue. Since we were still under the 30 day return policy and no longer trusted the product we went back to Best Buy and they readily agreed to exchange the unit for another brand. It’s a shame because the LG unit is truly a great looking refrigerator with plenty of room and everything we wanted. I applaud Best Buy for not giving us a hard time and the friendliness of the employees.

I love the look. The freezer is so easy to organize and the icemaker takes up almost no room. The energy used is less than my last energy saver and it was just 25 cubic feet while this one is 31 cubic feet. The deli drawer is very handy and all 3 produce drawers make it easy to find what I need. It is very quiet, too.
