This is the second LG refrigerator that I have owned the first was a lemon replaced with this model. The refrigerator had consistent freezing problems on the top level. The replacement refrigerator has water problems - water leaks from the ice section down to the top of the freezer draw then on to my hardwood floors. This is the last LG refrigerator that I will own.

Looks great and the price was good like LG is a good brand.

We loved this refrigerator until now we have serious doubts. We paid a good hefty price for LG Brand and quality name. After 1 month, the fan is out; which shouldn't be. More importantly, we are disappointed in Best Buy's repair service ability to respond to service calls. We paid a hefty price for an extended service plan and was told to call Best Buy's technical team. They troubleshooted over the phone and then claim they cannot come to service for 1 week. Get real! It's a refrig in the middle of the Summer and heat, and cannot show to repair for a week??? Not happy at all about this service plan which we paid extra for. And, of course disappointed in the thousands of dollars paid for an LG name brand to break down after 1 month!

We love everything except it did not last long enough to make it worth the premium.

Within 6 months of purchase freezer door started to show indentations, was told this was normal. 14 months after purchase panel on ice maker started to delaminate. This time we were told this is cosmetic and would not be covered under warranty. This statement on a $3K refrig, really? If left unchecked the panel would eventually quit working. We ended up having to pay for this to the tune of $275. Customer service is a joke. Their favorite response is that the product is functioning and that the issue is not quality related. I have never experienced such arrogance and unwillingness to address a customer issue. I will also never again buy or recommend an LG product. If you decide to buy one of their products pray nothing goes wrong with it as the company does not stand behind their products. Unfortunately Best Buy was not willing to help escalate the issue either. Very disappointed.

We just bought this item last month. Warranty has already had to replace the defroster. Now as of last night another warranty claim has been made because the ice maker is not working and the freeezer says it is at -2degrees but nothing is freezing. We bought all LG products for the kitchen and I can so as of now I am not satisfied.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! Bought in early January, worked for about 6 weeks. Compressor became noisy and it took 4 calls and remote diagnostics until they sent out a tech. Runs 24 hours a day and reflected in my electric bill, very noisy. The first tech replaced the main board and it was quiet for about 20 minutes after he left. The second tech ordered a new compressor and could not install it due to it being shipped wrong, in the mean time waiting for new compressor, the cooling failed and $500 of food was trashed. Fixed with new compressor for about one month has failed again! More food in the trash and damaged hardwood floors! LG refuses to replace an obviously defective product or reimburse for lost food. The ice dispenser is useless in crush mode because chips block door from closing so ice melts down the front of refrigerator and damages floor. BEWARE!

The refrigerator is nice and large but has some major design flaws. The icemaker jams up and then leaks, the freezer creates frost on everything. LG customer service is horrible. I have missed so much work having to wait for repairs. LG insisted that the exact same part be replaced three times before anything more can be done and now is requiring me to jump through hoops and wait even longer to see if they will respond. The customer service agents do not give good information and are very rude. I would not recommend getting this refrigerator. Look at the Samsung instead. I had a Samsung for years and it never gave me any trouble. I will not be buying LG again!

30 Days old and the manufacturere REFUSES to replace the product since its "repairable". REALLY it shouldn't have broken after one month. This is what happens when you buy foreign products!

This fridge is HUGE. We love all of the extra space. However, we've had problems with the ice dispenser in the door from the first day the fridge was delivered. And we've been waiting weeks for repairs. Also, the ice maker does not store much ice, which is a problem for our large family. Finally, make sure you note that the water dispenser in the door is NOT in the same location as the ice dispenser.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. WENDY AT EXTENSION 7178 IN LG CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY, VERY RUDE. SUPPOSEDLY SHE IS A SUPERVISOR. I WILL START WITH LETTING YOU KNOW WE SPENT $8000 ON LG APPLIANCES THE SAME DAY 4 MONTHS AGO. THE FRIDGE PRODUCES 3 TRAYS OF ICE IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD. WE HAVE TO GO OUT AND BUY ICE. THE ICE BIN AND TRAY ARE VERY SMALL. WE HAVE A BABY, 4 YEAR OLD, MY SELF AND MY WIFE. BASICALLY A TWO AND A HALF PERSON HOUSE HOLD. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK, DO NOT BUY IT. THERE IS ALSO A GOD AWFUL LOUD NOISE THAT LASTS FOR 15 MINUTES EVERY OTHER DAY. EXTREMELY LOUD. THE COOLING FAN MOTOR RUBS ON FROST BUILD UP UNTIL IT CLEARS IT, ABOUT 15 MINUTES. LG CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT CARE LESS. THEY SAY MAYBE 6 WEEKS TO GET A PART FROM KOREA AND WILL NOT REPLACE IT. WE ARE STUCK. DO NOT BUY AND BUYER BEWARE OF THIS LEMON. YOU WOULD THINK THAT SPENDING $8000 WITH ANYONE WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE WOULDN'T YOU.

I am on my 2nd unit, the first failed after one week, the second failed in 2 years. The same problem the units stopped cooling. Their repair people do not work on this refrigerator . Poor store support. Get extended warranty and be prepare to have food thrown out.

I'd personally reconsider buying this LG 31 cu ft - regardless of sales. Myself and 2 neighbors have the same one and we've all had the same problems... It will break. Just a matter of time. Most likely in the first 8-10 months.

I bought this refrigerator because it was roomy, but for a $3000 refrigerator the outside display is simple, LG couldn't install a color display? Also the ice machine barely makes ice at all. I set at a negative 6 temperature still does not meet the quota that LG claims it makes. It is stupid that I have to buy ice on the side because this $3000 refrigerator can't produce ice. For the bottom freezer, the top compartment is not as cold as the bottom compartment. I want to return this refrigerator so bad but my wife likes the 31cu. ft., might have to go with a samsung 28cu. ft.

After spending 2700.00 on a refrigerator you feel totally ripped off to have a 500.00 repair bill one month after the two year warranty expires. I will NEVER buy another LG product. Buyers beware!!!!!

Have had this product 2 1/2 years within the first 6 months the Ice maker quit. Had the front panel replaced. 3-14 Ice make quit. Out of warranty and down 325.00 dollars. This product has a problem with the Ice maker and the fan in the back freezes up. I would never buy another LG product.

I bought an LG fridge and it died after about two and a half years. I could not find my original receipt so LG would not help. They looked it up in their database and said it was still under warrantee, but refused to help. Warning: Stay away from this poor quality product
