This perfectly fit the bill. She's able to hook it up to her iPhone using an HDMI adapter, play movies off a USB memory stick, or use the built-in apps for YouTube and Netflix. We found it very fast and easy to both setup and use. Picture quality is excellent.

Even after switching up audio settings, it doesn't sound great above a level 8. I chose this model for the light color, but for whatever reason LG put a black remote control. The remote doesn't light up and in the dark it's difficult to access the correct buttons. Other than that, the tv is fine. It has USB ports, web options, etc.

The second day I had it, it told me it’s software was out of date and it needed to be updated. All fine, except it never fully updates, so I’m stuck with a tv that doesn’t work other than Netflix (and even still it freezes every two seconds). The rare occasion I turn it on, I can’t hear it even with the volume all the way up... I’m sure I received a dud after reading most of the reviews. Still pretty bummed about it.

looks great, works ok

Picture is really good and it's nice that's it's a smart TV so we can watch Netflix and Disney and all that with the kids. Only downside is that we have to constantly reenter our WiFi password, as it gets disconnected almost every time we restart the TV. Other than that it's great.
