The LG channel has many free movies and TV shows. The remote includes popular streaming networks, and downloading others onto the TV is super simple.

The screen is matte enough to not get bad glare from the sun, and the white color matches the style of my home. I don’t often use the smart features on smart TVs because I find them slow compared to the AppleTV’s or the Nvidia Shield. That said, the OS on this TV is pretty snappy. Worth a try before you spend the extra money on a set top box. Audio quality is what you’d like expect. If sound if important to you, you’ll want to find a sound bar or something.
