Defective Infrared + UNHELPFUL Customer Service!

Do NOT purchase this TV. It’s a LEMON! Buy your product elsewhere! Even though we have done countless years of business and personal shopping at Best Buy they are refusing to help us with the TV that is not communicating correctly with the remote. We returned to the store and BEST BUY made us buy a new remote. We brought it home and it just PROVED that it is the tv INFRARED that is DEFECTIVE. The BB staff won’t help us take any steps to rectify this defective TV—that is NEW and we’ve never been able to watch. We are BB members and within the 60 days. But no one cares. Next time we buy from Amazon with better customer service!

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your experience with your LG TV (32LR655BPUA) model, not responding to the remote control and the communication issue you had with the retailer. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products and exceptional services to ensure a smooth experience.

Sometimes, a common reason the TV might not communicate with the remote is interference from other gadgets nearby. It might help to move any electronics that are close to the TV, as they could be messing with the signal. We like the TV and will enjoy it. My only negative comment is that it is complicated to set up all of the channels and commands.

Great TV. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks but for this 71 year-old the font was too small so I’m getting a 43 inch instead.

The tv is ok nothing special really. I made the purchase for my Granny because it was supposed to be older adult user friendly but she still has to use two remotes and the color is not very good. I normally am pleased with LG products but this time not so much.

The only thing that would be better, if the resolution was 1080 instead of 720. No other knocks I have found.

Big mistake in not buying Set Up. The remote is way to busy as is the menu when you start to set up this TV. I ended up calling in the Geek Squad. They are coming later in this week so to be fair, they will need to really do some work to satisfy us. The picture and sound need the Geek Squad. I didn't get to the other closed caption issue but we definitely want that to work. I would strongly recommend that you purchase set up with the delivery. My Comcast service tech wasn't much better and no instruction manual only added to my frustration. After I pay as much as the TV cost for Geek Squad to leave us with all the great things other reviews had. Maybe using a cable box and two remotes was my problem. l will review again after the costly Squad does their magic.

Hi, there. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with the LG Monitor (32LR655BPUA) model. We understand that setting up a new TV—especially with multiple remotes and a cable box—can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help simplify that process. For easier navigation, we recommend enabling “Universal Control Settings” under Settings > General > Devices > HDMI Settings to streamline control through a single remote.

If you're struggling with closed captions, you can turn them on by going to Settings > Accessibility > Closed Caption and setting it to “On.” For a better picture and sound, select ‘Cinema’ or ‘Standard’ mode and enable AI Sound Pro under Sound Settings for an immersive experience.
