As an editor I recommend spending a little more money to get a better monitor. It will be well worth it. Step up to a 144 ghz.

Great extra screen for MacBook Pro

Looks beautiful in 4K HDR, I've never had a monitor like this before. You'll never go back to anything below specs, unless you're into gaming and want higher refresh rates. But for coding, productive tasks during the day, this is the ideal monitor. A bit pricey, but worth it. In addition to getting this monitor: I would recommend buying a separate USB Type C to Displayport cable, and plug it into one of the ports of the laptop, NOT the USB Type C Hub. I say this because if you try connecting multiple devices to one hub, it can force the MacBook Pro to crash and restart.
