Customers are impressed with the overall performance, size, and design of the 25.5 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator with Ice Maker. Many appreciate the ample internal space, quiet operation, and effective ice maker. The temperature control and lighting are also well-received. However, some customers have noted that the door seal can be quite tight, making the door difficult to open.

    Leaky Ice Maker

Overall the refrigerator functions correctly and is a good size and fits for our needs. The main reason I gave it 2 stars is because the ice maker had issues and ended up leaking on our hardwood floor, which we recently just had refinished, causing hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of damage. The leak was small enough that it was not easily detected and seeped into the floor and it took a bit to realize it was the ice maker leaking. It was still under warranty so an LG certified tech fixed it. However, they indicated that it is possible that the issue may come back, in which case the ice maker would need to be replaced. Apparently something in the path of the water line going into the ice maker froze up, causing the connection to expand and leak. Seems like a design flaw LG needs to fix. Net result is I purchased a leak detector to place under the refrigerator to hopefully catch it sooner rather than later if it does leak.

Ice machine is loud when filling with water. Water filter needs to be flushed for days the ice still smells after month. Have made over 12 calls regarding front of door plastic buttons to cover screw holes when for reverse of door handle. I now have heard from other people who have issues the LG advice to not buy products.

I bought this fridge back in JUNE 2022. By the end of the first week of JULY 2024 it broke down on me. All my food went bad, called a repair man told me at first it was the control board. He tried to repair but at the end said the repair would be more costly bc it seemed it was the condenser after all which would be close to $1000 to repair it. I am extremely disappointed and still at all loss bc we paid close to $1800 for this fridge.

Too Big and doesn’t work for us

Honestly the deduction in the review is directed toward the tech squad that came and measured the space for the fridge to only have it NOT fit in the space. Please make sure you are subtracting space for the fridge to go in and out as well as to open it. Well this is a lovely fridge, we’re going to have to return it as it does not fit. It’s incredibly frustrating as this is the third fridge that we have tried to have for our space and yet still we are without a solution. Also when it was delivered they were an hour later than their time frame space, currently I’m on maternity leave so thankfully I was available to let them in, but it would’ve been very stressful had I been back at work.

It’s not as much space as I thought it was so I’m disappointed in that realization. The price should be much less. Like no more than $1100.

First, I had trouble putting things away. The shelves are not split so you have to move a whole shelf to adjust height and there are not many adjustments. Second, the sliding tray got ice frozen entirely across the front edge, like there must have been a water leak at the top front of freezer drawer. Third, the door wouldn’t hold tall bottles like a wine bottle! As you can see, I could barely fit 2!

It is gorgeous but the positives stop there. Poor quality, badly made. We made an exchange and the new one is slightly worse than the one before. Off-level drawers and doors and freezing or warm temperatures in the refrigerator. Do not buy it is not worth it.

First time I’ve had to buy a fridge in about 15 years, lucky me!! I have a limited space for my fridge and this one fits perfect with all the room inside that I could possibly need and more, it’s really stylish, very roomy, keeps everything really cold as it should!! I live the bottom freezer which is also very spacious with an adjustable divider in the middle and the ice maker is great and very quiet, I could’ve picked a better fridge!!! And I was fortunate enough to catch it on sale but even if it wasn’t I still would’ve purchased it hands down!!

This is an attractive refrigerator that runs quietly and keeps the food at just the right temperature. It has more space in it than it looks like it does. The one small drawback is that the shelves cannot be spaced far enough apart to fit a gallon-size water bottle that is pretty tall. It's probably more the shape of the bottle than the capacity of the refrigerator, but that one thing didn't work for us. The bottom freezer with the right opening top door was exactly what we needed in our kitchen. I would highly recommend it.

This is our first LG refrigerator, and so far, so good after 2 weeks. The black stainless steel is beautiful and now all my appliances match. The size is perfect for our family that includes 2 ever growing teenage boys. Absolutely love the bottom freezer which was a must have....after all the freezer is not accessed as frequently as the fridge, saving a lot of bending. The delivery guys were very pleasant and measured everything to make sure of smooth sailing. They were personable and very informative. If this fridge lasts 25 years like my last one, that would be the icing on the top!

This refrigerator replaced our side by side refrigerator. Great for our family of four, lots of room in the refrigerator and freezer. Outstanding ice maker! The refrigerator is very quiet and seals tight when closed. Storage draws are great. The door itself is great for storage. Easy to see what’s in the refrigerator, great lighting. This refrigerator works very well in our kitchen, like the design of the single door and bottom freezer. This is a good choice for our family and kitchen. I researched refrigerators for about a year, admired this refrigerator.

Great fridge. I have only one spot I can put my fridge snd it was limited in space. Most fridges now a days are really wide. Due to this firdge not having a water dispenser on the door, it gives you the same amount of space as a wider fridge. It’s good size with plenty of room. Love the deli drawer. I moved my shelves up so I have more room on the bottom shelf for bigger items. Then I use my top shelf’s for like my eggs and soda cans and water bottles snd such. I had read s review someone saying it wasn’t sturdy in the middle which concerned me but I haven’t had a problem. I’m also not putting like 40 pounds on it lol. But I had heavy Pyrex baking lands with full food snd it didn’t bow or anything. Love the ice maker. It makes so much ice! At first i though I wouldn’t have enough ice but I never run out of ice! Big freezer basket. I saw many refrigerators with small freezer baskets. My first one had a crack in it which I thought was dirt, when I cleaned it I noticed it was a crack on the inside and pain scratched on the side so I got it replaced. Second one (one I currently have) is fine although it was 3 tiny dents that you cannot feel or see unless you walk by it when certain light hits it and a small scratch by the handle. But didn’t feel like asking for it to be fixed again. Easy to set up. You have a button to turn ice on or off. The door has two trays on top that u can flip up if u need to fit a taller container on the door. I read another review saying this fridge is loud but mine isn’t. Only time it’s “loud” is when the ice drops into the container which you will hear for like 3 seconds max.

We love this fridge. We came from a traditional LG with freezer on top and 22 cu ft. It was noisy, and we always had issues with the freezer staying consistently cold. This unit is quiet. We can easily set the freezer & refrigerator to separate specific temperatures and they hold. While it's only 3.5 cu ft larger, it seems much larger. We're able to organize it to get a lot of food/beverages in. The fridge being on top is more user friendly. When you open the door you can see straight in, including things in the rear. I particularly like that the produce drawers are up higher, so that I don't have to bend over when looking for fruit or vegetables. There's a drawer at a comfortable level we use for cold cuts, cheeses, etc., and particularly for snacks for the kids. The shelves are easily adjustable, and the door shelves are little deeper which makes it easier to load them up. The freezer is ample size for us. When you're closing the drawer, the last couple of inches it takes over and closes itself tightly. You don't have to wonder whether the freezer is closed all the way. Overall, we are very happy with this choice.

    Quality Single Door Refrigerator

Purchased the refrigerator this past December. Went with the single front door after becoming tired and frustrated with the more trendy french double door. Very pleased with my decision. The compressor is daily quiet and the ice maker in the freezer produces ample amounts of ice. The inside of the door offers a large amount of storage for just about anything. Both the fridge and freezer both have ample space. My only complaint would be the organization of the freezer. Could use additional compartments to separate the different categories of food, rather than the large bin style. Enjoy the styling of the design, but dislike the two open screw holes left for the option of placing the front fridge handle/hinge on either side of the door. They only provide cheap plastic buttons to cover the holes. Overall, the value is good. I recommend this product for someone looking for an affordable single door refrigerator.

So far very good. However, it's only been 2 months. It is a very nice refrigerator, quiet, lots of space, well lit interior, good layout, beautiful exterior finish. Temperature is precise and consistent. All you can ask for in a refrigerator. The main thing is operating life. I hope it will operate without issues for at least 10 years or preferably longer. My other LG refrigerator had a compressor failure after 5 years and the ice maker failed after 6 years. So, keeping my fingers crossed.

I have had this unit for about a month and it is very nice. Coming from a two door with a lower freezer design, I like this better. I can easily fit two weeks of regular groceries (COVID shopping) in this thing for a family of three where our prior frig would struggle in part because the shelves were split half the width of the frig and the support brackets eat up space. Everything works as expected. The one door design allows the (3) interior shelves to run the entire width which makes the space much more useable. The door can also hold all those tall/bulky containers (soda, juice, milk). This unit has a large, entire width, flat drawer on the bottom for platters which may or may not be useful to you. One improvement might be to have one split shelf as there are occasions where you have one bulky item (whole turkey or a cake) and you would have to adjust one entire width shelf up to fit. You could stack items next to it, but that makes things hard to get out. The down sides are that the produce drawers are small. The door can also be difficult to pull open as there is a tight vacuum seal. I think this is a physics issue as it only happens after the door has been open for a bit and a lot of cold air has escaped. The warm replacement air pulls the door tight as it is cooled. The delivery guy also said not to expect more than 5 years of service from frigs these days. I hop he's wrong as out last unit, a kenmore (LG in disguise) lasted +15 years.
