If you’re considering this fridge for the specialty features, in particular the craft ice maker, I would recommend looking into other options. The fridge itself works fine, no issues on the general refrigeration or freezing functions. The craft ice maker has manufacturing flaws that LG hasn’t fixed in all the time it’s been on the market. Ours broke right after a year of ownership, for no apparent reason. It started making a loud grinding noise that we couldn’t stop, and then it died after a couple days. This is a very common issue for the ice maker. Additionally, it just doesn’t make enough ice on a daily basis (family of five, three kids taking water bottles with ice to school daily). Especially after the craft ice maker broke. We had to start buying and making our own ice again, until we found out that LG is currently sending craft ice maker replacements because of the massive amount of complaints. The dispenser also has issues when we try to use the crushed ice feature. I still have not identified what the cause is, but sometimes the whole chute will completely block up with ice after someone has attempted to get crushed ice. Best Buy sent a repair technician while we were still under warranty and he said there was nothing wrong with the parts or mechanics, we just need to “clean it out”. But there’s nothing to clean out before the crushed ice is dispensed, and it still blocks up all the way to the ice bin, as if the chute door just isn’t opening (he assured us it was also working correctly). So we basically don’t use the crushed ice feature. We thought the door knock feature was neat for about a week, but we never use it either. Between components breaking and features we paid for that we either can’t or don’t use, I wish we had gone with the other model I wanted.

Really like this refrigerator. Had an issue with the first delivery, the fridge had a big dent but that wasn't Best Buy's fault and they had it replaced within a week. I even got to keep the dented fridge while I waited for the replacement. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a really nice fridge. Had problem keeping ice makers filled for a while. Changed filter and things slowly improved.

Love it... after few months of researching finally found the right product. Lg is the best. Also the services received by Best Buy associates was excellent.

This refrigerator is exceptional and every way, It keeps my food the right temperature at all times even with high traffic. It's nice to be able to check what's inside without opening the door.

Enjoying product. However I realized that the refrigerator doors must open wide in order to access trays. Because of the position of refrigerator I can not use my bottom tray.

Excellent delivery service and excellent product!!! The delivery men were very thorough with explaining about the temp settings and other features of the refrigerator. Highly recommend both Best Buy and the product.

So far so good. Seems to be working well, Quiet when making ice and always seem to have plenty. One small issue is with handles... this unit is difficult to open as you only have one isolated area to grab the handle.

The service guy were on time and professional. They provided simple how ro instructions and showed me the filter. I was impressed with how courteous and professional the were

We love this refrigerator and would have given it 5 stars. The water supply does not run through a cooler or refrigerator first and therefore takes time for the water from the dispenser to get cold.

I'm an LG fan boy so I had really high expectations for this one. Big let down. Ice maker is loud, and works when it wants to. Freezer gasket doesn't seal properly so there's a frost issue. Even on the lowest temperature the fridge doesn't really get that cold. Handles to open drawers are on the bottom, not the top where they should be. Bad design, and bad manufacturing. Don't waste your money on this one.

I was warned about LG fridges, so it’s my own fault I didn’t listen. I bought this fridge and within 5 days of owning it, the freezer completely malfunctioned and continues to cover everything in a half inch of ice. Avoid this fridge!

I know nothing is perfect but when I am paying I want it close to perfect. Refrigerator is nice but I see a lot of imperfections on it.

This particular side freezer and a side refrigerator is also great experience. So far, it works well and convenient; in. That I don’t have to bend over as compared to the French door.
