    Broke in less than 2 years

    Parents got this plus all LG ThinQ appliances and the fridge went out in less than 2 years, best buy total tech says they can’t come fix it until February?! What kind of crap is that?! Ice maker stopped working first now the freezer isn’t freezing and fridge is slowly heating up… this is fantastic. Dont buy LG…

    LG fridge: design is great but not the quality.

    We like the design ! However Best Buy is RUBBISH at customer support! It takes hours to get through the Geek Squad Forces. It's already 6 weeks in waiting for them to repair our fridge (dHF error). Agents keeps passing us from one department to another, the protection plan doesn't offer a fridge loaner. So how you are expected to function if BB can't repair the fridge. Now, it's possible they will exchange it, the expected time to produce the paperwork +10 days plus. Really!? now to exchange it to what? No product in stock till next year. So how about giving my money back so i can go to any store to buy a fridge. Afterall what is my protection plan for? Very unhelpful online support. 6 weeks of no fridge and no follow up calls no alternatives are offered. Is it the way to treat your customers? Here is my escalation number to see if anyone responds: # 17364205. How much longer do i need to wait to speak to a supervisor.

    Waited 2 weeks for new install of water line and new refrigerator. 3 days before delivery I get a call that they will not be installing waterline and that inorder to have the old fridge moved outside, I have to get on a ladder and remove the doors!! Now I paid xtra for removal of old and install od new. Buyer beware of this company! They do not provide what is promised at sale! I canceled and will be buying all my appliances elsewhere.

    Rage builds up over time

    If you have a wall next to your fridge do not buy this. You’ll discover that you can’t open the door wide enough to open your drawers all of the way. You will go years not being able to easily clean messes. You will lose food at the back of said drawers and find science expereiments gone awry. You will be forced to move the behemoth just to get the drawers out to clean them. This is a giant fridge but there is no efficient use of space. Eventually you’ll find yourself raging inside and hating everytime you have to put groceries away or clean the thing. I promise there are better options. We are replacing with Fisher Paykel and can’t wait for delivery so this monstrosity can go plague some other family. Every frenchdoor fridge you find at big box stores will have this problem. Find a local specialty dealer and save yourself!!!!

    Water Tastes Awful

    Our landlady bought this new in January. The water has tasted awful and, of course, we cannot use the ice, same issue. First we thought it was the filter, which was replaced, flushed for gallons, and no change in taste. Next the handyman finally came today and we tasted the water from the line to the fridge, which tasted fine. This means that after the water enters the fridge it is picking up a metallic taste inside the fridge that the water filter cannot address. I would not purchase this model ever. The fridge itself is making the water and ice taste awful. Hopefully she can get the unit swapped out, as it is clear that there is a problem, but I Googled this model, and a LOT of people have complained of the same problem. LG says flush he filter, which of course does nothing, and put some baking soda in the freezer LOL! I'm not sure I'd consider this model if I were you!

    Loved it until it the linear compressor died after 6 years. My 5 year warranty I paid for is useless. Apparently, LG has common issues with Linear compressors failing. I have everything LG in my home.. but no more

    Fridge compressor lasted 5 years so it's not a reliable appliance for over $2000; also, it keeps dropping the wifi so you cannot use the app. :/

    Buyer beware!

    I will NEVER buy another LG product again. If you consider $2,000 plus product should need to be unplugged and defrosted every 2 months normal then go ahead. There is a defect in the processors and a class action lawsuit which is still ongoing. Meanwhile we are stuck with a 9 month old fridge that stops working every every 2 months and needing to move all of our food to another cooler. Don’t do it

    Water dispenser will not stop; Frost issue

    We purchased this LG model in December 2017 and have experienced multiple issues in less than 2 years. 1. In door water dispenser would not stop, water leak all over the kitchen floor. This happened less than 6 months after purchase 2. LG sent local technician to replace the door with the water/ice dispenser, the repleaced door is now having the following issues: water dispenser leaking water again, door does not close tightly causing noticeable buzzing noise. 3. Ice and frost build up in the bottom freezer drawer

    Beware of LG refrigerators

    The compressor just went out on us, and I don't know if we'll be able to wait long enough for LG replace it. We certainly don't have the money to replace the compressor with no guarantee that it will last any longer than the 3.5 years we got out of this one. Is it too much to ask to make a reliable product these days?

    Don’t buy; only last 8 years; problem from the get go. First was the ice maker, motor, evaporator motor assembly and it’s not worth fixing all the breakdown with the evaporator motor assembly per C&T Appliance Repair (Collin Tucker)

    Terrible Water Dispenser

    The water dispenser does not work. Called the repair people and they refuse to fix it. They blamed my water pressure. So I got a plumber in, and there's nothing wrong with my water pressure. Thanks for nothing LG! $2,000 not well spent. Worst purchase I have ever made.

    Do NOT buy LG refrigerator!!!

    Stop cooling after 4 years of use and 5 rounds of LG official repairs could not fix issue. Living room floor is damaged during repair for welding. They just keep sending different technician to your house although every technician is saying the refrigerator is not repairable anymore.

    Super Sucky Fridge

    DO NOT BUY!!! Bought in January of 2020 and the ice machine wouldn’t work within 2 years. Got the ice machine fixed and the. The fridge portion quit working the following year. $3k and in 3 years I’m already replacing it. RUN! side note LG customer is a JOKE!!

    Run..do not walk away from buying an LG Fridge

    2 years in, had to replace fan motor. Problems with coils icing up & causing water to build up in bottom of fridge & freezer. Repair technician said LG refrigerators are poorly designed and hard to repair.
