    Can't handle power outages

    Don't buy this fridge! Couldn't handle power outages - control board failed both times our power went out and came back on. Tech said this is a common issue. First time was covered under warranty, but second time was 3 days outside of extended warranty and they refused to cover even though it was a repeat issue.

    Shoddy product, worse support.

    Buyer beware. Shoddy product, worse support. Wire in the door, that is not accessible broke, causing the water and ice to no longer dispense. Definitely a manufacturing issue. Called LG support. They had no interest in supporting their product. They wanted me to buy a whole door in order to fix their product. One wire breaks and they want you buy a whole door to repair the issue.

    Having constant problem with mullion

    We bought this refrigerator over a month ago, it looks great with a lot of storage capacity. We are constantly having issues with the mullion not closing properly. You have to close it very slowly to ensure it's properly aligned. Also, There is no beeping noise if the mullion isn't latched all the way in. It's a big energy waste if it's left unnoticed.

    Cheaper to buy new when it breaks

    Really loved this fridge until it stopped working. Had it for only 3 years. Defrost cycle failed. Manually defrosted, still didn't fix it. Almost a grand to repair and LG warranty will not cover it. Avoid LG.

    Died after 3 years

    Three year old refrigerator dies . Compressor does not last. Technician comes in, charges $400 and still not working. Customer service is horrible. So far 5 days without a refrigerator.

    The water and ice dispenser failed multiple time over the past four years. Then last month the front display went dark. Finally, it released all of its refrigerant the other day. 4 years... $3k... Nightmare. I will never own another LG appliance.

    Don't buy if you want ice

    Persistent problems with the ice maker not making ice and LG customer support is non existent. They obviously know there is a problem but won't do anything about it. They have said several times they will send out a technician but never scheduled anything.

    Poor quality from a sub-par brand

    May look great but poor quality. Had to replace the motor before the three year mark. Stay away from LG! They lure you in with pricing for a sub-par quality. Pay a couple hundred dollars more and buy from a more reputable brand who stand by their product.

    Don't expect to get service on it

    We bought an LG refrigerator similar to this model four years ago - suddenly stopped cooling. Have been trying for a week to get service scheduled and just get the runaround from LG.

    Dead a few months after 5 yr warranty

    Really disappointed in this item. Warranty is only good for 5 yrs. It says 10yrs on compressor, but still costs $850 out of pocket to repair.

    Faulty Ice maker and freezer

    Terrible fridge!! A large chuck of plastic fell off the ice maker and dropped into my glass. Ice maker broke at 3 years. Freezer broke at 4 years

    Fridge lasted 1 year 6 months. Then the condenser went out and took them 3 months to actually decide to replace the fridge.

    Loved this refrigerator. But within a year of the warranty expiration it quit. Completely. Sold withbab10byear compressor warranty but LG say no it 1 year. No service available within 50 miles.
