Best Buy and LG complete failure

Two months ago the ice maker quit working. Turned out it was the fan blowing cold air up to the ice maker. Found part online and got it working again. Now the entire upper fridge section is not working. Called geek squad to come out and troubleshoot/fix problem. Geek tech did some diagnostics and determined it was a faulty control board. Was given an invioce for estimated cost. Paid the invioce in order to get the control board ordered so we could get the fridge running as soon as possible. Follow up apointment for control board replacement was the next Friday. Friday came, received txt the tech would be arriving between 1 and 5. 6 o’clock no tech. Called geek support and got the run around. Finally was told “tech had family emergency’” and didn’t make it. (No kidding). Ask when to reschedule and earliest date was the following Thursday. Called back the next day to confirm appointment and it was never made. Now being told it is more than two weeks out. Not happy with the LG problem unit and more disappointed with Best Buy and the horrible tech support. Overall zero stars for both LG and Best Buy. And i still have a broken fridge.

As a troubleshooting step, please try resetting your refrigerator’s electronics to rule out a temporary control board glitch:
Unplug the refrigerator (or switch off its circuit breaker) for one minute.
After one minute, restore power and allow the fridge to reboot for about five minutes before checking if the upper section cools properly.

Bit of a large fit, but you can remove the doors & drawers with a bit of tlc....if you need to get it through annoyingly tiny house doors. Water does shoot out like a jet stream...but still good though

Had Samsung fridge before this that always had issues with the refrigeration lines freezing and needing to be replaced. Ended up going through 3 fridges with geek squads help and decided enough was a enough. No issues here.

The only complaints we have are: 1. The items in the doors rattle and fall when you close the doors, and 2. The ice maker doesn’t produce enough ice for our family.

Short comming, Our previous refrgigerator had resesses' molded into the doors that let you slide the pantry drawer all the way open without openign the doors all the way.
