Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the 38” IPS UltraWide monitor's large screen size and vivid colors, high refresh rate resulting in smooth motion, and overall high quality. The Thunderbolt connectivity is also a plus, allowing for versatile connections and potentially replacing multiple monitor setups. A potential drawback mentioned is the monitor's cost.

I’m really liking it so far. The ability to charge your device through the USB-C port is great. Display is crisp and the added vertical height over most 1440p monitor is awesome. 100% recommend.

I'm an IT security consultant for many years. Prior to the pandemic, I mostly traveled to my clients, but nowadays it's mostly Zoom and Webex. That made my laptop go from being my primary to my secondary computer. As such, I upgraded my desk computer this year with one of these monitors, a 4K camera, a green screen backdrop, and professional grade lighting. Having the "real estate" on the monitor to handle many open tasks and windows has been fabulous. This monitor has exceeded my expectations in a big way. My desktop is a Mac Mini with Thunderbolt 3 ports, so I wanted a big monitor with Thunderbolt, clear and high density pixels, and a fast refresh rate. This monitor fit those requirements to a T.

Context of Review: Hobbyist photographer with primary reason for purchase to edit photos and general computer use. I did quite a bit of reviewing of monitors before I settled on the LG 38WN95C-W as it checked all my requirement boxes. Truth is, this is probably much more monitor than I needed, but I wanted to future proof my purchase as much as possible. Colors are great right out of the box, but I will most likely tweak calibration a tad in the foreseeable future. Multiple screen functionality is great, although I have in the past and continue to use BetterSnapTool which provides similar functionality. I was concerned about text size and quality but those concerns were unfounded as that is a non-issue. In closing, I have yet to tap into many of the included features, and may well update this review in the future, but initial impressions after having for just 3 weeks now, no regrets.

For as expensive as it is ($1600), I was really expecting it to be SO much better. The size is good for splitting the screen and wide view, but other than that the resolution is good not great. The controls on the monitor are a PAIN. They pop up unpredictably and are not helpful. To turn it off you have to hold the power button for several seconds. Not a great design at all. I would NOT buy this again.

Love this monitor. Great view, colors look great as well. I use it for video editing and gaming and it works amazing. If you’re looking for a great ultra-wide for editing video I’d suggest it.

It’s a nice monitor but overpriced for the image it throws. 1000:1 contrast is not great and the local dimming on the monitor is so bad. My speaker also has begun distorting after a few months. My specific panel also had some light bleed on the corners.

I've really enjoyed this monitor. However, after just crossing the one year mark I'm starting to have issues with the monitor cutting off unexpectedly. I'm also having issues with blurriness which require me to turn it off and back on. Other than that I've greatly enjoyed the wide screen. I can't imagine going back to a smaller flat screen again.
