Very good sound bar, perfect surround system

Im not disappointed, its very good system, very nice for compact room, couple of friends bought this sound bar after my recommendation.quality 4.1 for $160 is really worth. If you go for open box for $112, its even less price with great sound. Have a fun.

Beware Your Sources

I can confirm, a 4.1 channel system is really just a 2.1 system with two rear speakers; most audio sources (Sony Blu Ray, XBOX One) would not allow me to set it as surround, and defaulted to 2.1. Yes, more noise, but no "planes flying around me" sounds from Man of Steel. The audio is indeed crisp, but the subwoofer as others have noted is teeny. I wanted to see how loud the sub could be, but setting it to max did not really add anything to the experience. I was very underwhelmed. I bought it at $160 because it was the price of just a sound bar, but would recommend just buying the 2.1 channel sound bar with a larger sub at that price. Now that I see it's up to $250, if you want surround sound just buy a receiver and set of speakers for $50 more to get a real whomping subwoofer and true 5.1 channel audio.

Clear sound, resonable volume in small room

I wanted an LG soundbar for my LG TV to help guarantee it all played together and it does. Not sure it's really 4.1 surround as it sounds more like a 2.1 system as stated by others but it is a lot better than what the TV came with. My major complaint is in the marketing. Everywhere it states its a "420 Watt RMS" system. The total MAX power consumption of the system is 121 watts as stated on the unit power supplies. There is just no way to get 420 watts out of something when you only put in 121 watts. This is a flat LIE!! It is loud enough for a small room and at $160 you can't expect much, but do not expect 420 watts RMS out of it. Very few system can put that much power out. Its ok for what it is but you got to accept the lie.

BT surround not working

The same video (surround sound test video) that plays well on ASC mode (all speakers working) when it is played on youtube on the TV (which is connected using HDMI ARC) does not work when played from my LG phone connected using music flow app over BT. When connected with phone using BT, only the front speaker works. CAlled support and they are not helping

Great until...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The speakers were great the first night. Came home the next night and the rear speakers wont power on. The wireless receiver is plugged into a source that is working and the light wont turn on. Nothing else to do, I have tried resetting and everything. Going to have to return these. Giving it two stars since it sounded good the first night, and the sound bar still works and sounds good.

Subwoofer is almost non-existent

I had to put my ear up to the sub to make sure it was actually working. Also, as Phil22 pointed out, this is not a 4.1 system. The rears just play what the front speakers are playing . There are very few settings to update using the remote. I really like how low profile the bar is...it's the first one I've tried out that doesn't block the remote sensor on my TV at all. I really wanted to love this soundbar, but I don't.

wrong description

It is says in specifications that the unit support 110-220v (50-60Hz). Once I opened it only the soundbar itself support dual voltage with DC power connection. Rear speaker kit and the SUB doesn't support and work on on 110v AC....truly to bad. the unit is very good and now I need to return it back to Bestbuy...

Sound is ok - rear speakers cut out

Overall good sound

Great Sound, When It Works...

The subwoofer constantly cuts out intermittently and it is extremely annoying. I’ve contacted LG twice, and their only fix is to do a hard reset and unplug it for 30 seconds. For the price tag, I am very disappointed with the product and their customer service.

Don’t buy LG!
