We have had this washer for a few weeks replacing an old GE top loader. This washer is very quiet compared to our old one. It cleans clothes well no matter what the load is; jeans, whites, sheets and blankets, or towels. I love this washer!! I never wash clothes cause my wife would, but love doing it with this washer. Hated our other one. It was a standard top loader and didn't feel like it cleaned the clothes. This one is such an upgrade! Uses less water. Less detergent. Spins the water out so well drying time is cut down. I would like our drier to break so I can buy the matching LG drier. Not really, but if it did I will buy the LG drier. I researched a lot of washers and decided on this one. At this point I'm glad I did. Every washer won't have great review, but because of personal preference, this had everything my wife and I wanted in a washer.

Out of all the appliances I have, this washer is by far my favorite. I was himming and hawing about the price but I'm so glad that I bought this washer. We did laundry every day because we are a family of four. Now we just do about 3 loads of laundry a week. This saves us time, money and water. This washer is incredible. It looks pretty and it auto balances the laundry for you. You don't have to tell it to do anything. It does it all for you. My husband is not a computer literate person and I thought he would not be able to use it because when you look at it, it looks like there are so many buttons to push. I was wrong, he can use it easily. He loves it, it does all the work for him. Its a beautiful washer and it sings a tune when its done washing. You will not be disappointed in this washer. I am so glad i splurged and bought it, you will too.

I bought this washer to replace a 4-year old Whirpool Duet front-load that bit the dust! I absolutely love having a top load washer again; laundry comes out very clean and fresh! The tub is huge, a comforter would fit in it easily. I love the many features to choose from. It's amazingly quiet, compared to my old one that sounded like it was going to take flight! I really love the graphite color, however the stainless steel accent on the lid does show fingerprints. Although it is more expensive than most, it was definitely well worth the extra money. Love that LG provides more than the 1 year standard warranty, although I am not anticipating any problems with it the way it has performed so far. I would highly recommend this washer, especially to those fed up with their front-load!

LOVE this washer. So easy to use. My husband loves it too. I like the extra capacity in fact it's alittle too big for me. I'm short & I'm falling into the drum to get the small clothes out from the bottom. I've been using it for a month. I did have one stain that did not come out. I was washing a large load of clothes and had a knee stain. I should have treated it or add extra water to the load. I have done this on big loads and like the way it handles the laundry. Rugs clean well in it. My husband likes the timer on the machine. The tune at the end of cycle is a cute bonus.

I needed a new washer badly. My twelve year old Calypso was staining all my family's clothes. I choose this washer because of its size , the brand name and the many reviews I read about it. We have had this washer for about a month and I love it! It's easy to use and the clothes come out clean. The best feature is that it really does sense how big of a load you're washing and doesn't waste water. The little jingle at the end of the wash cycle is cute. We don't mind it at all, but if it bothers you, turn it off. No problem.

I was worried after reading about all the problems people were having with HE washers, and chose this LG because it seemed like it had the best reviews, and so many options. It's absolutely fantastic! It uses less water, but holds 3 times as many clothes, and has so many options for different settings, I am still experimenting with them! And my clothes seem cleaner, and softer! Even though it takes longer than my old washer, it holds so much more that I can do 1 giant load instead of 3 and use less soap and water that way. We've had it now for about 3 months and I still get a kick out of hearing the little tune it plays when it's done!

After using the washer for the past month I'm still as excited about it as the day it arrived. I actually like doing the laundry now; it's hard to say that after 45 years of doing laundry and hating it. The controls look like they would be complicated but it is actually very easy to run and the multiple choices for each type of load take the guess work out of it. I purchased the matching dryer at the same time and I've been surprized at how much more fresh and fluffy the clothes come out. I'm very pleased with my choice and would highly recommend them both.

I used to do laundry all day for several days just to keep up with the family's needs. We went on vacation recently for a week. ALL of our clothes fit in one wash! I can even wash 2 comforters at one time plus a mattress pad. I've never been excited by an appliance before, but this is amazing.

I finally dumped our old Whirlpool washer and dryer and got this one. It is amazing! Quiet, very much so- I can have a conversation in the same room on a cell phone with the washer and dryer running full speed and the person on the other end cant even hear them. The only thing I wish it had was a soak cycle for things like oxy-clean. Give me a choice on how long I can soak for. Other than that- simply amazing!

I researched endlessly before I bought this pair! I LOVE it. Super quiet, love the tune at the end of the cycle! Looks great too! I was concerned that the tub does not fill with water! But, set it and forget it. The clothes come out clean, it just takes longer than a traditional washer. Would definitely buy again!

Nice looking and works great. Loads of cycle choices. The machine is quiet, and smart. It decides how much water to use so I use less. Energy efficient.

I find myself peering through the glass top wondering how this machine does such a great job cleaning clothes. The over-sized drum has about six different motions; none of which seem to do much toward cleaning clothes. That being said, in total, it does a great job. The machine is quiet, vibration free and uses a minimum of water and electricity.

A little pricey but great for washing, especially when washing for a family of 7. Its quiet, efficient and the extra features it offers saves me more time then did my other washer.

i love it so much its so better than my old washer because my old washer uses alot of water and that is a waste but the new one uses less water and its good that i have to buy he detergent i love this washer so much yes i would recomend this to a friend .

Waited 6 months to put in review. This machine isn't at total failure. It runs and works, just not what one would expect it too. Does it get your clothes clean? Yes, if you can disregard half of the preset features. As long as your regular cloths can take being twisted, pulled and stretched.(Shirts, jeans, T's) Cloths should be new to med wear. More worn cloths have a chance to be found with ripes or tears.(Or you may cause one while pulling them out and untangling the mess) My office shirts I have to be careful, ruined more then one until I went with gentle cycle or baby wash.(Even then only with lightly soiled shirts) Too many separate loads needed compared to my old washer. If your clothes does not need hot water to clean, get smell out or essentially your perspiration does not smell then your OK with this machine. DO NOT RUN this with just ONE ITEM. This machine is fine for delicate if you use the delicate cycle, just make sure you have them in one of those protective bags. The options of water temp and level is limited to the pre-set by the factory based the cleaning function also preset by the factory. Extra Hot water is only available for one cleaning function/cycle, sanitary which takes over 2 hours per load. The add water option is more psychological than is physically more water. Shortest cycle is the quick wash, 30-40 minutes. Every other cycle is 1:30 hours to 2:30 hours long per load. Most are in the 2 hours per load. Not sure how this saves energy and I don't have all day to do 4 loads.(Darks, lights, heavy, dedicates and 5 loads if I have towels.) 8-10 hours straight with this machine just to wash, or 2-3 hours with my old Maytag side loader or the old top loading with center agitator when I rented. Oh, would not recommend for anyone who can not bend over and pull up the clothes. Hell on your back and you'll need good for-arm strength. Good Luck, my next machine is going to be a side loader again. Hell, the old top loader with center agitator would be better then what I am doing now.

With my old washer, I had to wash the sheets and pillow cases separately from the bedspread. Now I do them together. With the load balancing, you can't just throw the clothes into the washer.....you need to spread them evenly before turning on the washer. Saves time and balancing.

Fill valve never completely shut off, filling the drum overnight. Lucky I checked on it or we'd have had water everywhere. The call to LG was unspectacular and we had to call the repair service provider to confirm an appointment, not the other way around. First request was rejected by the provider because their man was on vacation. Finally got someone here a week later. Then, while opening the machine to replace the valve, the water level control popped out scattering a couple of parts here and there. It was not reassembled correctly and the drum fills right to the top even when washing one sock! This last part is not LG's fault and the new valve has worked so far. I don't have very high hopes for a machine at this price level

This has got to be the best Washer I have owned just got rid of a Whirlpool front load for this masterpiece!! After the wash is done the clothes are pretty much dry before even putting them in the dryer!! Amazing

Great for washing large loads of laundry. Easy to use. It is a far reach to get to the bottom but I am able to do and I am only 5'4. Lots of different cycle that can help clean different types of clothing.

I love this washing machine and did not want a front loader so I held out until I found another top loader that I liked. I also love that you can see through the lid and see how it works.
