Make no mistake this is an entry-level television, there is nothing truly special or novel about this TV, unless you're moving from an old CRT this isn't really an an "Upgrade" as noted in the description. The overall build quality is decent - i was surprised to see a metal back plate on a set of this caliber - but the overall package is just lacking. Cons / Issues: - Only one button (power) is on the TV itself EVERYTHING else needs to be controlled by the remote - if you loose/break the remote then your screwed. (Power-on time is also painfully slow.) - TV sound isn't great (not much dynamic range) and often encounters a sound resonance issue where some voices cause harsh vibrations though the TV. - On topic of sound, there are no analog audio output or headphone jacks - the inclusion of these would make is easier to upgrade the sound; at least one saving grace is an optical audio output while not as convenient is at least something. - the display settings out of the box are terrible and make the set look terrible as a result, especially over HDMI - Hi-Def cable looks atrocious with stock settings. the default Sharpness setting is set so high that every compression artifact is amplified resulting in a grainy ugly mess. TURN THE SHARPNESS DOWN to something less than "15" to greatly improve picture quality. (lowering the backlight is also helpful) - Off-Angle viewing is absolutely abysmal. All LCDs encounter some visual degradation but I haven't encountered a LCD panel one that reaches the angle limit as quickly as this one does. Viewing the set at approximately 45 degrees off center (either left or right) and there is severe color desaturation where the majority of color warmth/subtlety is bleached out - Not Good!. Pros: I wish i could include more here - but the only pro is response time which isn't bad for gaming, and with some tweaking the color accuracy isn't bad (if you sit dead-center that is) Verdict: If you happened to get one of these for about $200 (or scored one for for $150) then it's not a bad deal - you will probably be able to live with its faults, but at full MSRP forget it look elsewhere! This TV doesn't show LG in a spectacular light, and is unquestionably in secondary/bedroom set territory - and not really well suited for a home theater setup. Hope my 2 cents were helpful!

Regarding quality and performance, you get what you pay for. Performance is not the best when changing stations, much delay but picture quality is sufficient.

Great TV. It has been running 24 hours a day since I purchased it two months ago. I mainly use the USB video playback function as it is a training TV at my workplace.

We have previously purchased LG tv's from Best Buy and have been very satisfied. I would recommend going to Best Buy for electronic purchases. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable questions quick.

This is a decent good TV in this price point. Naturally there are far more superior ones out there but for this price bracket I believe it to be one of the best. My only criticism is the sound quality.

Well bought this TV to replace our old 2006 Panasonic Plasma. Not because the Panasonic was not working it was more a power issue. This LG TV consumes 60 watts vs the plasma that consumed 390 watts. This LG has very good picture for the price you can't go wrong. It has 3 HDMI inputs and it can play MKV files via the USB but not with the DTS audio sound. Definitely worth the price. It just works.

Got this tv on black Friday this year. For the price, it's a great tv. Does everything we were looking for. If you want a none smart tv, this is a very good option.

Ordered a 40" flat screen tv on Thanksgiving evening, and received in just a few days after! I Would definately recommend using Best Buy for any electronic device!

Purchased this TV set on sale for under $350. It's very lightweight, slender with great picture clarity. Also USB capable. Best Buy shipped it quickly and safely.

This tv was purchased just for my gaming needs. The price was on point, and it doesn't have any smart tv features, but that's ok I can do all of that on the PS4.

Bought during Thanksgiving and used as 3rd monitor for work. No issue up to now. Picture quality is okay, not as sharp as my other SONY I bought but with the price less than $200, I am happy camper.

I bought this tv for my parents for Christmas. It was an upgrade from their CRT tube TV. However they still have antenna tv and the channels default to Spanish even though every menu and setting is english. I see other people have experienced this as well. Called LG, and they recommend exchanging it. Got a second one and the same exact issue. This tv would work great if you are using an external tuner like a cable or satellite box. Great picture and decent sound. I would not recommend this product to anyone who is using antenna for tv service due to the software issue in changing the language during broadcasts. To hard for my elderly parents to change settings each time they change the channel. Will be returning this tv.

This TV met all my expectations. It was easy for this single woman to carry due to good packaging. Easy peasy setup. Took maybe 5minutes. Highly recommended

I went to Best Buy kinda blind to buying a TV. Salesman was very informative. I decided on this particular one and certainly not sorry. Just perfect for me.
