Always have been an LG fan and this tv has held up to expectations.

the only thing I don'l like about the television is the automatic dimming used for the energy saver. This is easy to turn off though. If it wasn't for that, this would be a 5 star rating.

Not the top of the line, but it does have everything I need in a TV. Plus it works with downloaded movies on my USB hard drive.

For the most part I like the tv with one exception and that is the speaker quality. I had to add on a sound bar for clearer quality.

This TV is great. Pulled out of box and plugged it in and we were set to go.

Was told this tv was not the best and was not a "full" smart tv but does do everything a smart tv does and has all apps I need to stream for my entertainment and was for a reasonable price. I like it

Awesome quality! Fast streaming! So convenient to just watch easily through the apps.

If you want better quality sound you have to buy a sound bar at anywhere from about $90 to $200

I bought a new 42" LG Smart TV and it won't connect to wifi or even a direct wired connection in my house. We have changed the location in our home and even got a different wireless modem/router in hopes that this would fix the issue (though please note that our phones, laptop and usb wifi connector for our desktop all function perfectly well on our current and last modem/router combo). So, I took the blasted TV to the GeekSquad at BestBuy in hopes of discovering that the internet device inside the TV was broken and needed replacing and would be covered by the manufacturer's warranty as we've only had this thing for less than 2 months! Well, lo and behold, the TV connected up to BestBuys wifi right off the bat no issue and was able to load and play a youtube video without issue. So, now we know the internet works on the blasted thing. So, we get back home and guess what?! It won't connect to the internet at our place. I'm on the exact same internet connection typing this as we speak, so it's working. I call tech support, because that was the ONLY advice I was given in the store. Guess what? They want to send someone out here to "install" our new TV for $149.99. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Needless to say, I will not ever, ever, ever buy another device from BestBuy for the rest of my days which goodness willing I'll be here for many years to come and I will be sure that this is known to others who may want to purchase any electronic device from BestBuy.

Watching this TV was hard on the eyes, as no matter what station we watched, the voice track was off... Was extremely disappointed and returned the TV.

Really liked this tv but had to return because the tv wouldn't fit on our tv stand. The legs were on outer edge of tv and we have a corner cabinet.

IT TOOK SEVERAL TRIES TO FIX THE PICTURE COLOR, BUT I FINALLY GOT IT A LOT BETTER.

This LG 42" is great for fitting into old cabinet that isn't the best shape for newer TV's, but this model fit perfectly!

Picked up two sale movies for my grandchildren . They truly I joyed them.
