Beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've never had an OLED in your home, this TV might just blow your mind. I got the 42 inch to replace my 38 inch ultrawide monitor as a desktop setup and it works wonderfully. After I'm done working on it, I pick up the remote and switch it over to the smart home features where I can stream in Dolby Vision which looks and sounds amazing. Also yes, the built in speakers sound incredible in my opinion, I cant imagine even needing a soundbar for my use. Overall I just cant stop staring at this TV, it is so satisfying to look at.

Almost perfect for PC gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image and refresh rate is spectacular. Switched to this from an ultra-wide. Even the speakers are good. I have no urge to go out an buy a sound bar. Only a few minor issues, but the one that really makes me take a star off: THERE ARE POP UP ADDS EVERYTIME YOU TURN IT ON. They weren't there at first, but after an update, every time I switch the monitor on about 5 or 6 LG pop ups appear at the bottom of the screen trying to get me to sign up for LG channels and other things. They go away after about 10 seconds, but it's just infuriating to pay this much and still have unavoidable ads. I'd expect this on a vizio, but not an LG OLED! Also, the default settings are just dumb. You'll have to spend an hour or so getting it set up. The auto-dim feature is pretty annoying as well. Wish there was a way to turn it off. Those two aside, the screen is great, just make sure your rig can handle a large 4k display.....or just use it as an excuse to upgrade all that too :P

LG C2 42" as gaming monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG C2 42" as a gaming monitor offers an immersive gaming experience with its large OLED display, good refresh rate, and support for VRR technologies. It provides stunning visuals, smooth motion handling, and eliminates screen tearing. However, the size may not be suitable for everyone, and precautions should be taken to prevent burn-in. Overall, it is a top choice for gamers looking for an immersive and visually impressive gaming monitor.

Best upgrade in years
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously, this 42inch oled is phenomenal. My model indeed has the WBE panel (checked via service menu). I use it with my pc and have it calibrated to 6500k and got rid of the excess blue. I used CRU to get rid of the 4096x2160 resolutions, no more icons spilling past the sides, and have the hdr correctly set to 800nits luminance. Also bought cheap 20 dollar 6500k bias lights to further improve the veiwing contrast. This paired with a 240w DTS:ultra sound system has changed gaming and HDR movies for me!

Immersive Gaming Experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking at this specifically as a monitor for productivity, I wouldn’t recommend it as burn in for static images can occur. However if you are using it for gaming and watching movies, this is perfect. I love it, I absolutely do. Worth every dollar. Only cons I have are it’s still too big at 42 and if your desk is not deep like mine being 25, you have to sit far back to prevent eye strain. Very immersive but not suitable for competitive shooters.

Oled is the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this for almost 5 months now and let me tell you oled is the way to go! I play Xbox series x/and ps5 and watch a ton of college football on this and it’s just amazing! I was a person who was afraid of burn in for so many years with oled but with the new features you can enable with the newer generation oleds that’s in the past! Trust me just get it and enjoy it!

Hands down, The best PC Monitor I've owned
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit hesitant buying a 42" "TV" for gaming on PC, especially an OLED panel. But suffice to say those worries were gone. This TV looks absolutely amazing and is a step up from the 32 inch 2k monitor I had previously. Buying a good(not decent), 4k MONITOR with better than HDR400(1000 or higher) with a fast refresh rate and good amount of dimming zones costs nearly $1400...for a 32 inch. It just didn't make sense to me and pulled the trigger on this, especially at the current price point.

Amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible visuals with the C2. I got it primarily for console gaming for the 120hz and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve had it for two months now and I’m still impressed by it. Disney movies are fantastic and really take advantage of an OLED picture quality. Overall the speaker aren’t bad, but I would still recommend dedicated speakers (sound bar or surround sound) for the best experience.

Great value for the size!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for my computer monitor and I have to say going from an LG 32" gaming monitor this LG OLED TV is amazing. I wish I had purchased something like this sooner but the LG C2 has so many good features it might not have been the same experience. If you want a large monitor this is a great option because some of the larger monitors are more expensive.

I love it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very rich colors and bold contrast. Perfect for gaming and for watching shows. The glossy screen makes it have bad glare with any light but in a black room you can't beat the quality. 4k 120hz OLED is perfection

Great all around TV & Computer screen
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.42” screen I feel is the correct amount of space & not too overly big. The colors are beautiful, deep blacks, and I thought I had a good screen until I seen this thing in action. It put my 43” 4k UHD HDR1000 screen to shame & couldn’t believe I was missing out on so much goodness. Easy to setup the TV, I do like how the feet for the TV work, they help guide your cables or the power cord, also has guides that snap onto the back of the panel to further help with cable management. Screen is very thin, and overall weight of TV is great too. If you are using it as a computer monitor, it has G-sync & Freesync Premium Pro, has 4 HDMI inputs all are HDMI 2.1, so you can run the panel at 120hz. The screen is beautiful and very bright, all my games feel like they are new, due to I thought my previous monitor was actually good. I honestly don’t have any con’s yet. There is a possibility of screen burn in, however for the most part that was a common thing of past OLED screens. The price is a con, IF you don’t get it on sale. I was lucky enough to purchase it on sale, thus saving like $300 or more on it. I don’t feel it’s worth more. Currently I have found prices even lower at the time of writing, so now is the time to pick one up. Overall, the TV has been great from the start. I am still scared that it is a LG, and my previous experiences were not good. So here’s hoping that this TV will change my mind & I definitely hope it stays as good as it is currently for years to come, because if it does well, then I will definitely going to buy more of them in the future. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a really nice TV or use it as a computer monitor or even for your console gaming needs.

Oled perfection
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply amazing, I use it as a PC monitor mostly for gaming purposes. The HDR, contrast and instant pixel response is amazing. I went between this and the Alienware 34” oled. Decided this was more versatile. I don’t notice any problems with auto dimming or the screen not being bright enough. I run it at about 50 brightness, it can get eye searingly bright. Love it so far.

Amazing TV
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The C2 is a fantastic tv, and the picture quality is amazing. The color and contrast is so good with the OLED Panel. The sound volume and quality is meh, but expected with a high-end tv like this due to less space for speakers. They work fine and a sound bar isn’t needed, but highly recommend with this specifically. It is decently bright and has a good range.

Excellent TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Clear, deep picture. Very good to look at. And a high quality picture from a LEAF antenna! (Better than cable!!) Remote control is not backlit (makes it difficult at night). (There doesn't appear to be a 3rd party backlit universal remote that works with LG.) Internal sound is not that great. On the other hand, it is easy to hook up external speakers. (Thanks to LG for that.)

Excellent as a PC monitor and TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I currently have a C1 55” that was preciously used for mainly gaming on PC and Playstation. I still watched shows regularly on it. It has treated my so well that when i was in the market for a new monitor for work and play, I caught this in sale for $800. One heck of a deal! Unless tou play the same game or watch the same news show over and over you should have zero issues with burn in. I should say with a disclaimer that you leave thr TV plugged in always and have the oled care features on. As a PC monitorthe colors are so saturated i dont need a high brightness. Im using it at 20-30 oled light in a light managed room. At lower levels the ABL doesnt need to do much and I notice none of the pixel shifting. You really cannot get a better display for the money and mind you this is cheaper, larger, and blows every high end gaming monitor out of the water short of a 144hz refresh rate. So my vote is, totally by it. It has exceptional viewing angels. The next cheapest option is the Sony x85 43”. While a decent TV this will be a significant upgrade and worth the extra money. Plus reliability is simply outstanding on oleds. You mayblose some pixels over time but nothing you would notice at all from a normal (short) distance.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV if you appreciate finer details and the refresh rate is nice. Make sure you train your eyes on cinema/expert/filmaker to see true whites and colors without the forced blue light filter made to "pop" colors in the store, they catch your eye but it isnt "true" to the colors of your content.

Great Video Gaming TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been a great TV so far. I mainly purchased this TV to play games on. I was going to buy a monitor, but realized that I needed a screen with an optical port to support my headset. After doing research for a while on what to get I found many people giving high praise to this TV. It does have a higher price tag, but it is worth every penny. Great color and is able to support 120 HZ on the PS5.
