It is a good tv. But nothing too special from the C series line up. It has almost all the same features as the cx. Biggest difference is the size.

Great image quality and 4K content looks great. Beware if using as a monitor - very poor text clarity.

We purchased 6 LG OLED TVs for a new house and spent quite a bit of money doing so. 2 of the 6 TVs did not work out of the box. Best Buy replaced one, but we could not install several of them for 2 months waiting for the house to be completed. Neither Best Buy or LG would replace the 2nd one even though it did not work the first time we plugged it in. My installer recommended Sony or Samsung. I strongly recommend purchasing from a company other than Best Buy and not purchasing an LG product. If you buy 6 TVs and 2 pairs of washers and dryers from Best Buy and LG, you would think they would replace a product that doesn’t work out of the box - instead they made us wait 2 hours on the phone for them to finally offer to send a repair technician. Imagine if you just bought a single product. Last LG product I will buy and last time I will shop at Best Buy.

So far, is working properly,but I can't compare with Sony ,Sony is way better.

Purchased first screen and within week had vertical lines, returned and recieved new TV. Within a month second screen had a single vertical line in middle of screen. Looks like I am now beyond return time period so Ill get the joys of working with LG.... Loved the product until it started failing... twice.

First one purchased only worked for a few minutes. Had to send it back for a replacement. Don’t like white power light at bottom of tv. Annoying when it is off and you are sleeping

Half the speaker output power and no LG stand to direct the sound. I was willing to sacrifice the brightness you get with the 55 and up but the cheap feet and kneecapped speakers did me in. Opt for the 48 in. It's not too much bigger and doubles your sound output while retaining the sweet LG stand that I love

Very hard to select programs I would like to view. The screen keeps bouncing around to other areas.

This review isn’t for the tv itself rather for Best Buy’s failure to sell me an open box “excellent condition” item when the tv was all dirty and scratched up on the panel, and to top it off the screws to connect the legs were missing so was the HDMI cable

Lasted 2 years now I have black lines. Never used for gaming. Don’t buy!

No box, no stand, no remote 5100hra of tv display usage...for 720 after taxes. Pass!

I am a repeat LG customer who has a 65 inch OLED that has the dreaded "green screen" defect, (a large green rectangle that is particularly noticeable when the background is supposed to be yellow). This happened, predictably, just after the warranty expired. While LG has acknowledged a "burn out" problem for people that leave the picture on for hours at a time, this was obviously more than that, since the rectangle is not part of another non-refreshed screen. I still decided to get another OLED because of the reviews and the excellent picture from any angle. The retailer offered a 33% discount for Black Friday. The 42 inch screen size seems ideal for my sunroom, where I can sit anywhere from 4 to 10 or 12 feet away. The standard TV picture is excellent and the 4K streamed content is outstanding. Just remember- Do NOT leave your TV on when you aren't watching it.

I use this as my monitor, and it just blows my mind. The color is amazing and the size(42) is perfect for desktop. As many people say once you go oled you just can’t go back to regular lcd panel.

This LG 42c television is excellent the pictures magnificent but the sound is even better than the picture I traded out of a Samsung 40 that was still working this TV is much more Vivid clearer and the audio is magnificent way above the Samsung I really like it I have no complaints whatsoever and I also have a Bose soundbar that went along with it I've never even had to use the sound bar I bought the sound bar to up the audio for the Samsung TV but this LG 42c does not need it it's excellent five stars and thumbs up

Simply put, this is the finest line of consumer monitors available. The C2 is bright, has great black levels and comes well calibrated straight out of the box. The Dolby Vision HDR looks amazing.

Made the jump to 4k gaming using this as a monitor. The gaming quick settings menu is nice. I'm using a 3070 TI with no issues so far other than I have a 10 ft 4k HDMI 2.1 cable that loses the signal every once and a while gaming. Apparently, it is a common issue that glitches the screen for a brief second. It's not very noticeable yet so I'll look for a better-quality cable at some point. I mainly got this for a monitor but I have been using the TV streaming features as well. Looks great, the best contrast/dimming on the market. I also have a QLED Samsung I think in comparison the settings menus are better than the LG, that's my only gripe so far.

The colors and visuals on this tv is amazing honestly, i have no complaints honestly. It’s perfect for my gaming set up, everything was beyond my expectations.

Great picture quality. Deep blacks and full colours. Good service from best buy too.
