Stunning, Bright, and Beautiful!
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have hunted far and wide for the right monitor for my PC gaming rig only to stumble upon this beauty! The crisp, clear OLED panel provides a smooth 120hz output with no latency and highly accurate black levels. I am also able to switch it to 21:9 ratio to have that Ultra Wide Resolution. And with the accurate blacks, you don't even notice the black bars. I highly recommend this to anyone who is having issues finding that perfect display. I don't plan to switch again!

Best TV I've Ever Purchased
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic TV, I was using a Samsung 32" curved 1440P monitor prior to this for PC gaming. I'm a Sony fan as a standard but purchased a 42" model for my son for Christmas to go with his PlayStation 5. I went to his place the week after to check it out & went straight to Best Buy & bought one the same day. It's absolutely gorgeous & I've had no trouble with my RTX 3070 on mostly high settings in games. 6 months in on it & no trouble, knock on wood!

Stunning Picture Quality and Smart Features
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the LG 42" Class C2 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The picture quality on this TV is nothing short of stunning. The OLED evo technology really makes colors pop and provides deep, true blacks that add a new dimension to my viewing experience. The 4K UHD resolution ensures that every detail is crystal clear, and the upscaling of non-4K content is impressive. Whether I'm watching movies, playing video games, or streaming content, this TV delivers exceptional visual quality. The webOS smart platform is intuitive and easy to use. Navigating through apps, streaming services, and settings is a breeze. The remote control's Magic Remote feature makes it even more convenient, allowing you to point and click on the screen for a more interactive experience. The TV's sound quality is also quite good, but for the best audio experience, I recommend investing in a soundbar or external speakers. In terms of design, the TV is sleek and modern, and it fits perfectly in my living room. The thin bezels and slim profile give it an elegant look. Overall, the LG 42" Class C2 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV is a fantastic addition to any home entertainment setup. If you're looking for a TV with outstanding picture quality and a user-friendly smart platform, this one is a top choice.

The BEST display of 2022, hands down! Buy It!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this TV as a monitor. I loved it so much, that I returned it and purchased the 65 inch model, and went back to using my 32 inch Samsung Curve Monitor, so I could experience this amazing picture on a more immersive scale! You just cannot beat an LG OLED picture, so long as you're willing to spend some time with it in order to get it calibrated properly. Out of the box picture is not too accurate, which is the one place where I might take a star away. But this TV is so beautiful, even if you were to leave it exactly like it is out of box, that you still are not going to be disappointed. If you are looking for spot-on accuracy out of box, consider Panasonic, as that seems to be their claim to fame with OLED TVs. This TV is amazing though. I would recommend it to anyone, at any size you can't go wrong. The 20% increase in brighthness from the C1 is not available in the 42 and 48 inch models though. That is in the 55 inch and up models of the C2. Personally, I notice, and if I were going for a 48 inch, I might just go for a C1 if I could find one at a better price. They did not make the 42 inch C1 though, so if that is what you are looking for, then the C2 is your best bet, because it's your only bet! Just buy it! You won't be let down, I assure you! Whether you are coming from a non OLED display, or you've already experienced one in the past, either way, you can't lose, and you will love the product that you get!

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the 65" version and loved the picture quality so I decided to get this 42" to replace the 40" of a different brand in my RV, it is almost the same size due to almost no bezel. The user UI is a bit odd and I am not a fan of that but I just have my Roku ultra plugged in so no interaction needed with the LG UI. The HDMI ports to recognize full 4K unlike another large three letter brand of tv I usually buy. Yes it's a pricy 42" tv and being replaced by the C3 but worth the money for the picture quality. For those wondering how it's doing on an RV because you are worried about the bumps and jarring. I have mine in a fifth wheel past the axles to the rear so there's a lot of movement back there. It survived a 2800 mile round trip over Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan roads. None are known to be outstanding roads especially the last two. No problems with it starting up or anything. Oh a problem I find interesting is the weather in the stock UI if on an RV it's kind of combersom. Typing in the name of the city you are in may show results it may not. Brightness is outstanding. Being in an RV you may not be able to block light as easy. Once on you don't get glare and can easily power past bright outside light coming in. I also have mine mounted on an adjustable wall mount you will need to get one with a weird 400x300 mount but can be wall mounted. The sound is really good just lacking a little on the bass.

Once you OLED
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first OLED tv and it doesn't disappoint. From this point forward I'll be purchasing OLED for my televisions and monitors. I'm using this for my PC monitor primarily. I have an RTX 4090 and I wanted to be able to push the GPU. Going 4k was great but the added color you get from the OLED adds another layer for me. The true blacks you get in those dark scenes in games, or in movies, is why OLED can't be beat. The picture is phenomenal and I can't really fault this monitor. The colors just pop with OLED. The smart interface for LG seems solid. I have multiple streaming services linked to it and it seams to stream smoothly. I don't use that often though. The monitor works perfectly as a computer monitor in my setup. I have an additional monitor off to the side but use this as my gaming display. The speakers are fine, I wouldn't use them as the source of audio though. They are fine for some basic television watching, but not great for a movie experience. There are a lot of options for audio inputs, including bluetooth so you can link a headset, which is a plus. I would purchase this again and plan to get something similar in the future.

It's my first oled, it won't be my last.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to is as my gaming monitor. It looks so much better than any other screen in the house. It's a lot of money to spend on a 43" screen, but if variable refresh rate, 4k, and dolby vision matter to you, it's worth the extra. The blacks are super black, and the highlights are plenty bright in my opinion. The smart features have all worked flawlessly so far, and while the remote takes some getting used to, it's pretty neat.

Best TV I've ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tvs been great so far. Good picture, great quality picture, and good brightness. I had a 65 inch B2 that I bought in 2019 and it was great but I needed something smaller to double as a PC monitor and this C2 was the perfect size for my setup. Can't say enough good things about LGs OLEDs. The gaming features built right in are great and 120hz is a game changer.

Game changer for PC gaming
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the LG C2 42” as a replacement for my Dell 34” ultra wide PC gaming monitor. This is aboslutely 100% worth the price to upgrade. I already owned an LG C9 65” for the past 3 years as our primary entertainment room TV so the already knew and loved tue benefits of OLED and how stunning the picture quality is compared to a traditional LED TV Using the ultra wide gaming monitor on my PC I found that over time I was noticing that the quality of tue picture just wasn’t as good as I knew it could be. Washed out blacks, backlight peaking through during dark scenes in games, ect. Now don’t get me wrong the Dell gaming was great but the LG C2 blows it away by miles. The colors, the brightness, the features are just top notch. Playing the same games I always played on the LG blew me away. Now you will need a power Pc to use this to its full potential for 4k HDR but if you have the money to get this as your monitor you definitely can afford a PC to match. If you have any thoughts on if this is what you are looking for let me just step in to say , YES THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. It is the top of the top for quality and you will not be disappointed.

Awesome gaming experience!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is literally the best television to have for gaming. I tried connecting my Xbox Series X to my old 4k 120hz tv after using this for a couple of weeks, and realized that it doesn’t even feel the same. 120hz + HDR + 4K + Oled = A gamer’s paradise!!! Oled is what gaming has been missing. Definitely an upgrade!

Used as a computer monitor for about 2 years now
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, no issues with the screen even after 2 years of being used as a computer monitor. I am careful with it, using dark mode, a blank background, and hiding the windows task bar... just because I am extra cautious, not because I've had problems. The picture quality is amazing, and 120hz gsync VRR works fantastically as well! The only complaint I have is when it sometimes decides I want to see some kind of text advertisement on my screen... NO, STOP. BAD LG. Luckily this rarely happens, and I probably should just disconnect it from the wifi entirely.

Amazing Picture Quality, but get the settings 100%
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent TV both for the price and for the picture quality. HDR is stunning and the color profiles make it compatible with some of the highest quality videos. One caveat is that you need a very high quality HDMI cable to attain the 120hz 4k image. If you don't, it will not work. Another issue is screen flickering when the settings are not totally perfect. It can be very annoying, Most of the time though, if you just set it to the normal 60hz, it doesn't flicker at all. HDR is phenomenal when settings are correctly set. The AI features can be neat, but can also cause unwanted issues (including the flickering) when enabled. I'm also very impressed with the sound. It is the best sounding TV I've ever come across. I'm still giving 5 stars, because it is the most affordable OLED 120hz 4k TV out there. I use it for computer video editing/processing/color grading. It has worked fantastically well and colors are on point. I recommend this item 100%!

Great for gaming, so far.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually got this as a monitor since nothing else existed that impressed me, and, while I’m still waiting on my new computer (it had been awhile since I’d built one myself, and apparently I didn’t get something right) I have been using it with my roommate’s Xbox (he’s a PS guy so had it to spare)…. The colors, clarity, and contrast are great, with deep blacks. The brightness is sufficient for my use. The speed and responsiveness are better than this xbox one can put out, so I can’t wait to try it on my new machine. I’m sure when hooked to a 4090, it will impress as well as most of what will be available for another year or two. I was a bit disappointed to find that there was no Crunchyroll app, but I connected via airplay easily enough, and, as someone who hasn’t owned a tv in years, I’ve actually been enjoying it for it’s intended purpose, if I wish the home screen were a little more customizable (though, that could be me, obviously I haven’t been keeping up.)

10/10 TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic TV. I use it as a monitor and its the best display I ever used. I have no fear of getting burn-in because the device has great anti-burn protection to insure your TV lasts as long as possible. Bright, has great colors, and a proper HDR that elevates every piece of media it displays. A TV will never replace a properly set up sound system, but its pretty good and I mostly use it with headphones anyways.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for the bedroom. I also own a 65” G2 and 48” C2. This 42” version is great. OLED really pops on a smaller screen. Definitely worth it now that prices have come down. These TV’s are also outstanding for gaming. Sound is great for a bedroom or secondary space tv. Maybe I’m to used to a surround sound system.

TV thinks it is a PC gaming monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second OLED I have used as a gaming monitor. Previously had the 48" LG CX which was amazing for consuming media and gaming, it was a little big for more general use. In over a year, 0 issues with OLED burn in. Swapped over to the 42" C2 and it is about perfect. Excellent HDR and motion clarity. As expected the infinite contrast makes everything pop and no garbage blacks like you get on IPS, TN or VA panels. HDR does not get as bright as some other non OLED panels, but with the dark blacks, it over performs in real life. I ditched the stand it came with and got an adjustable VESA stand with swivel and height adjust, to help easily adjust ergonomics on the fly. The new Asus built on this panel is likely a hair better for PC use, but it is way more expensive, so I'll pocket the $500 difference and live without DP. Overall, the 42" LG C2 is pretty amazing, especially if you can get it on sale!

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an ultrawide ips panel with this oled tv/monitor, the color is amazing, no traces of any ghosting, refresh rate goes above 90 fps (limited by pc). 42" is the right size, with the slim profile, the screen is sufficiently far to provide a comfortable viewing distance.

I Could Not Ask for a Better TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The biggest increase in picture quality I have seen since going 2160p about 5 years ago. Colors are overall much more vibrant, contrast is PERFECT and responsiveness in games goes back to the days of CRTs without the heaviness of a CRT.
