Awesome Tv and gaming monitor. Used on my pc with the 3080, HDR is awesome, Blacks are beyond deep. Definitely worth buying. 120 HZ is silky smooth, went from a Samsung G9 to this and dont regret it a bit. Would love a curved version.

I've always been a thrifty consumer by buying low end televisions. I ended up buying a ps5 and wanted to get the full experience out of it. This TV was perfect for my needs. It can do up to 4k and it offers 120hz refresh rate so it's really nice for getting extra FPS in your video games if you're a couch gamer. There's a lot of settings you can mess with to customize the picture and sound to your liking. The built in speakers worked very well which was surprising. Most TV's now days don't have very good sound. I ended up buying a soundbar and subwoofer mainly so I could get a better experience. Lastly, I wanted to say how nice the smart features are. You can easily link all your devices to this TV and connecting them was seamless. No problems so far. Would recommend this.

This tv was built for gaming both console and PC, the colors and the refresh rate are amazing. I definitely recommend this tv as a possible monitor for a pc especially if you consider the price difference.

I use this as a gaming/PC monitor. I've never seen anything like it. The blacks are like staring into the void of space, the contrast is like the stars against it. It's crazy. Even looking at my TradingView charts is a crazy experience. Best TV and monitor I have ever owned. BY FAR. You will not be disappointed. Oh, I started w the 48. It was too large and super heavy. The 42 is feather-light and the perfect size for a monitor. Make sure you have room on your desk and Be prepared to sit a couple of feet away or so. The sound quality is great too.

Amazing tv/monitor i have the 65" for my main tv and loved it ao much i decided to get the 42" for use as a monitor and i couldnt be happier with it. I normally am not one to spend money on a warrenty but do yourself a favor and get geek squad protection for any oled.... they can get butn in and best buy is the only warrenty that covers it.... i bought a 55"lg oled 6 years ago, ended up getting burn in and i called before the 5 year mark and they gav3 me a giftcard for the money originally spent on the t.v. that i then used to go twords the 65".

A Fantastic TV (and Macbook monitor)

I've always bought nice tv's. I select name brands after weeks of reviews from both professionals and consumers. I can say without question that the C2 is the best tv I've ever bought. The picture is simply incredible. I love the inky blacks, menu responsiveness, and number of connection options. I primarily use mine as a monitor for my Macbook Pro and it's been everything that I've wanted. It's allowed me to replace my two monitor setup with a single monitor. My only criticism is the stand. It's quite functional, but it's pretty "meh" in terms of design.

I got this to replace my dual 24" monitor setup and I am very happy! The picture is terrific and I have all the TV stuff available but my main use is as a monitor. Its like having a real desk where you can move things around like paper. I use the monitor for games and some work from home and photography. The LG supports G-Sync for my RTX 3080 and as a true 4k the games look great. You Tube 4k is perfect even though I am sitting right in front of the screen. This was my Christmas present and I highly recommend it. OLEDs are not as bright as other LCDs but that is not a problem - with all this screen two feet away I don't want super bright.

The LG C2 OLED evo is an incredible TV that combines gorgeous picture quality, smart features, and a sleek design. The 42" size makes it a perfect choice for bedrooms, offices, or smaller living spaces without sacrificing premium OLED performance.

Excellent picture quality. The perfect black and infinite contrast of OLED is unbeatable. I would definitely recommend. Speakers are average though. PC auto dimming is slightly annoying as well but can be turned of in developer settings (at your own peril). Brightness depends on what is on screen. Web browsing the brightness is lower. viewing video content is average brightness, which can be increased in the settings by turning off auto brightness adjusting in oled care settings. this increases brightness by about 15-20 percent.

Purchased this TV to use as a computer monitor for gaming. It lacks a display port and does not not wake or sleep with your pc, but for what you're getting is a high quality oled image, good enough refresh rate, and much cheaper alternative to an actual oled pc monitor. I had an Alienware 3423DW 2 months that by dogs broke. Gave this a try and thought it was good enough, returned it about a week later. Going back to a regular type of monitor, I instantly missed the C2's oled image quality. I couldn't justify purchasing another Alienware @$1200 so I re-purchased another C2.

I own the 55" C1 but evenso I was blown away by the quality and performance of the 42" C2. I use it with a PS5, Xbox Series X, and Win11 computer - all at 120Hz. Stupendous stuff. I toyed with using as my primary monitor but Macs are better suited for 2.5K or 5K. Others have tweaked this TV successfully but I decided to use it for gaming and movies. Oh - the sound is great in a small room even without a speaker setup so forget that expense and buy better headphones for when you want/need them.

I have the 65” LG CX in my living room, the 55” LG C1 in my Master, and got this for the Office / Man cave and I have to say this may be my favorite due to size factor and seeing the clarity closer than ever before. Not too close lol. I use it as a monitor and no burn at all. Now granted i do not leave it on if i leave the room and I do baby it lol but best picture quality you will find. PS5 and XSX look unbelievable on it. If youre still reading just go click check out and thank me later. Happy viewing!

Absolutely beautiful picture quality. The blackest blacks and great vibrant colors. Possibly not the brightest I've seen but it's good enough for what it is. The biggest issue I had, and why I returned it, was that it wouldn't stay bright -- in order to prevent burn-in, the OLED screen dims over time. I used this screen as a PC monitor, but after working for a while, I'd find myself squinting to see the screen because it was naturally dimming itself. It was easy to fix, but there was no way to prevent it from happening, so I had to return it.

Used it as a computer monitor, sitting around 4 ft away, it’s an amazingly immersive experience. Plus it’s a TV so you can use LG OS to watch movies and shows. I hooked it up to my AV receiver via ARC and pc on another hdmi port to get full surround sound for both pc gaming and tv. Gsync and high refresh rate make this an excellent gaming monitor.

I bought this TV to play my PS5 on and it was more than worth it!!! The picture clarity is AMAZING, the frame rate while playing games that support it is smooth like butter and the colors from the OLED are bright and vibrant. The sound quality is good but I would recommend using the TV with a good sound bar. I love this TV and I’m thinking about upgrading my Livingroom TV to a similar model.

Purchased the 42” to use as a gaming tv and a monitor for my computer - it works great and the picture quality is jaw dropping. I love how easy it is to plug in and use and how it updates itself the first time it turns on. The application selection is also fantastic. I would advise using an online video to “properly” calibrate the images for your computer and gaming devices, but out of the box it looks pretty. The only con I have is that the cord is attached to the TV itself - if I needed a longer cable I would be out of luck.

I purchased this 42" OLED after purchasing and returning a 43" Samsung QN90B. I could not be happier. It is the nicest OLED I have owned to date. I use it as my tv/pc monitor and it excels at both. It is the perfect size in my opinion for single player gaming and for streaming content when you aren't needing to use your pc. HD content is great, but this tv takes it to a whole new level in 4K HDR. If you are in the market for a great pc gaming monitor and tv, then stop reading this review and buy the tv already. It's easily 6 out of 5 stars...yes that was intentional.

This is an incredible panel and is not perfect out of the box but once you get the settings right it will blow you away. The OS is not that great but paired with an Apple TV 4K its phenominal. I use it for gaming on my PS5 and it is an incredible experience playing in HDR. The colors and motion handling is awesome once you get the settings right. As a PC monitor I initially thought it was too big but am getting used to it. I would strongly recomend the Geek Squad warranty to cover burn-in if your usage is going ot be mainly PC and Gaming.

I use the 42” as a monitor and there is no beating it. I will never go back to LCD. I use for both work and gaming. I use split screen for work and it’s Perfect. It’s basically 2 24” monitors vertical. Gaming is absolutely amazing. I tried a comparably priced LCD and it’s just no competition. Looking forward to see how OLED progresses as I do still fear burn in and hopefully we will see brighter screens in the near future. Only complaint is the 42” is a bit steeply priced. If you wait until this model’s end of life you should be able to get it for under $1k.
