Like this tv...but no booklet om troubleshooting

I would like the picture a little clearer...& know how to get rid of that voice that loudly tells you every channel you move to and tells you the volume as you go up and down. I go to settings and think I'm following directions...but I must be missing something. No booklet came in box with the tv.
