Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, ease of setup, price, and size of the 43" Class - LED - UJ6300 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. They appreciate the good picture quality, easy setup process, affordability, and suitable size for various placements. However, customers are negative about the brightness, remote control, sound, durability, and stand. They find the brightness lacking compared to Samsung TVs, the remote control unintuitive, the sound quality subpar, the TV prone to damage, and the stand flimsy.

Bought this tv 12/2/12 and was returned within a week. The picture is so dark, no matter how much you try and adjust the picture in settings. Terrible. I bought a 43 Samsung smart 4K ultra hdtv, Love it!

I'm very disappointed with Best Buy and my purchase in Sherman oaks. They gave me a used tv. I exchanged the first one because it was shutting off went back , came home and just open the box tv scratched no cables no remote. I'm going to contact Vice President about this matter. I'm so upset. I paid 700.00 for a 40 inch.

About a week after purchasing TV a solid red fluorescent light appeared going horizontally through the screen. Since my time has been limited on returning the damaged goods, the screen will now flicker for about 5 mins with the the red line still present....I am assuming the screen will eventually go out!

    Great TV! Love It!

After a disastrous experience & return with another TV, I picked this one. Gorgeous picture, great sound, easy setup, and fabulous apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and others. One thing to be aware of is that the TV stands on two feet, each positioned a few inches in from the sides vs a centered stand in the middle. That meant my current tv console wasn't wide enough to fit the tv! Fortunately the nice LG customer service people told me about Universal TV Stands. Found one that fits perfect and now my TV fits perfectly in my existing console. Very happy!

Bought this for my mother. Went over there and noticed it developed lines in the screen, for some reason she didn't tell me about it in time to do something about it. TV isn't that old. Quality seems questionable.

If I could give it 0 stars, that would be my rating! Only had it for 3 weeks and the screen went. Then on top of it Best Buy tried to blame it on us! Never ever will I buy anything from Best Buy again! Customer service was horrible!

Optimal picture settings for this TV listed below

    Posted .

These are the optimal picture settings for this TV: aspect ratio: 16:9 just scan: on energy saving: off eye comfort mode: off picture mode:standard backlight:100 contrast:95 brightness:60 sharpness:25 color:55 tint:0 color tempature:C20 Advanced controls: dynamic contrast:off dynamic color:meduim prefered color skin color:0 grass color:0 sky color:0 color gamut:auto super resolution:off gamma:meduim picture options noise reduction:off MPEG noise reduction:off black level: low real cinema:off motion eye care:off trumotion:off sound mode settings:cinema The picture out of the box is really poor because of the settings. This TV requires a lot of tweaking the settings. I would recommend using my optimal picture settings. Once I changed the settings the picture was excellent. A big plus to this TV is the dynamic color settings. Turning on the dynamic color really makes the picture look way better the colors are deeper and richer, I was watching over the air 720p NFL game and the dynamic color setting made the picture way better, the NFL field(grass) had a much more realistic deep and rich green color. I had a 1080p HIsense TV and when you have the dynamic color turned on this LG looks better than the hisense. The screen cast from phone to the TV works excellently. With my hisense tv the screen cast would skip and lag and I would have to reset my router each time I wanted to do screen cast. With this TV the screen cast works perfectly every time and never lags and I do not have to reset my router to get it to work properly. One thing to mention is when I use the screen cast the sound output is quieter than when using the antenna or cable, in screen cast the volume is still loud enough I just have to turn the volume all the way up. I don't have any 4k content so i can't speak to picture on 4k but, with SD,720p, and 1080p the picture is excellent. If you were to compare this TV vs a 1080p TV both displaying 1080p content this TV would have better picture quality because of the dynamic color setting. The biggest con of this TV is the sound, the sound is not very good on this TV, I actually think my 39in 1080p hisense had better sound than this TV. This tv's sound is very hollow sounding. I have a soundbar though so I was not concerned with sound quality. 0.50 off for poor sound quality from the tv's speakers and 0.50 off for not having optimal picture settings out of the box and needing so much tweaking of the settings. Total 4/5 stars
