    43” Lg UHD TV

Great TV for our guest bedroom. Has excellent picture as a straight center view, fades a little from side view. Apps on the TV work good but I prefer the Roku platform. Plugged in Roku stick 4k. Picture is very nice for a budget tv. Doesn’t get extremely bright but seems to be good in the bedroom. Very good for low light area. Remote is a decent size but has a lot of buttons, again I like the Roku remote. Roku remote controls the volume and channels with ease. The speakers are descent, fine for a guest room or kids bedroom. For a full sound experience I would add a sound bar. For the price I think it’s an excellent TV . Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good value as a second or third TV .

    Great TV

We purchased this LG Smart TV on Black Friday, and the TV/price are great. The legs of the TV are plastic, but are fine, and it was easy to assemble. The TV has a great picture, and the settings/menu were easy to navigate and set-up. I did a lot of research and felt the LG was a good product. I am hoping this TV lasts a long time!

    Awesome 4K HDR10 TV!

I bought this TV Last year around tax time and loved it so much with my XBOX One S. Now that I have an XBOX One X I have a second one of these TVs on the way and now the friend I sold the One S to and I can play side by side Big 4K Style. :) The HDR10 kicks in well on both the One S and One X although it's obvious the One X is better as it cranks out true 4K HDR10 to the TV while the One S uses upscaling to get there. Overall, this is a great TV for 4K console gaming. You must make sure you have the options in the TV Settings for 4K and HDR checked or you'll get neither. Once you figure that out, it's smooth sailing. At one point I had it hooked up to my Gaming PC. The Gigabyte NVIDIA 1060 I have with my setup made it to 4K but at 30-40 FPS when I am used to 100+ FPS at 1080P made the better picture a bittersweet experience (I just need a better video card, not the TV's fault). Overall, If you want a great 4K UHD Tv with True HDR10 at a great Price, look no further than this LG. There are a few cheap 4K Tvs out there with fake HDR marked as compatible that XBOX won't recognize as even a 4K TV. Some people have already learned that lesson for us, don't buy those, Get This LG and you will not be disappointed!

    Nice cheap tv

I had to return the first tv when one of the HDMI ports died in less than a week but I exchanged it for the same tv because I liked the quality of both the picture and the sound. It does have a couple of ports on the back which will cause you to smash some of your cables if you mount it on the wall. The legs are pathetic and look like they are designed for a much smaller tv so you really should be mounting it on a wall anyway. Overall this tv cost me about the same amount that i paid for a 32 inch samsung tv a year ago so I feel like it is a pretty good deal. If it wasn't for the faulty HDMI port and the garbage legs I would have given it 5 stars.

Purchased a cheap brand TV at Best Buy Thanks Giving night that had nothing but problems. Returned that (with no issues thank you Best Buy) and bought the LG 43". WOW what a difference, beautiful picture and set up was a breeze. Sound is pretty good for such small speakers. Couple adjustments on the picture and sound and am very happy with decision, $$$ well spent.

Excellent 4K quality for PC gaming

Excellent 4K TV, use it daily for gaming on custom built 4K PC. Great picture quality and response. One issue but I don't feel it lowers the rating. After about 2 weeks, HDMI port 1 stopped receiving a signal. Contacted LG (1-800-243-0000) and after a short time of explaining the issue to the customer service rep she directed me to take the following actions to hard reset the TV: Unplug the devices from the back of the TV, turn off and unplug the TV, hold the power button for 5 seconds, plug TV and devices back in (placed PC back on HDMI 1) and turn on the TV. Instant signal. I call this a win and a minor inconvenience.

    Awesome small 4k tv

Was worried about how dim the picture was, until I realised to turn off the energy saver mode. Make sure to do that to get a brighter picture. Also I had to turn on each hdmi input to allow the 4k input. Not sure why they're not already able to do that. Anyways, once I did all this, the picture was and is amazing. Great value also!

This is the second 43" LG we purchased for the bedrooms. The quality is better than other brands costing 100s more. We are an LG family. Surprising the first time you notice lint on a TV host suit! Very easy to setup and use.

Some good, but a lot bad

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The good: picture quality and quick turn on The bad: the feeble, tiny, plastic legs. I had no intention of mounting this tv but that's what I had to do because it felt so unstable. I don't have live tv so the home screen always informs me that there's no signal. Great. There are so many privacy agreements you have to sign before you can operate the tv. I bought a tv to watch shows, not have my viewing habits sold. Seriously - it's blackmail and it's terrible customer service to force consent to a loss of privacy in order to use the tv I just paid a lot of money for. Everyone in my apartment building accesses the same wi-fi. There don't appear to be any security features that allow me to hide my tv from my neighbors which is an issue because I see their devices under my inputs and can access their media storage! I wanted a Smart TV but it's all negatives and no benefits. The remote isn't voice activated and the remote itself is poorly designed - I have to turn the light on every time I want to use it. Half the time, I use the fire stick I was planning on selling because it's a better remote and takes voice commands. I will be removing the tv the from the wi-fi so that my viewing habits can't be sold and to ensure that neighbors aren't going through my media. I'm incredibly disappointed - I expected so much better from LG.

Bought this tv on Black Friday, brought it home, set it up, super easy. Have it connected to my 4k Blu-ray player and the picture is amazing. Thought I was going to need a sound bar for a quality viewing experience but the stock speakers are more than sufficient.

    Good but problematic

Quality and sound were great but over the years a problem began to appear where the internet would suddenly disconnect which was very annoying, only way to fix it was by opening the back and messing with a cable according to YouTube.

    Makes a decent computer display

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There are a few settings that are necessary for using this TV as a 4k computer monitor. I think the necessity to set the input to GAME mode has been described elsewhere, and helps improve the delay of the mouse pointer on the display. The second setting will be the power savings, which like for TV inputs, the display is very dark when left on the factory defaults. The setting that I could not find anywhere, and the reason I thought I would write a review is the screen over scan effect when in 4K mode. Using a Windows computer and especially in 4K mode you seem to see only a portion of the task bar, as well as other icons near the edge of the screen. I finally found the setting and fixes my desire to return the TV. In the full settings menu, you go into Picture / Aspect Ratio. There you find a setting called "Just scan", which defaults to off. If you turn it on, you magically have a nicer computer screen with full visibility.

    Mediocre Television

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It seems like most affordable televisions today are bottom feeding when it comes to quality. Unlike the crystal clear images observed on showroom sets, probably because they're projecting from a dvd, after the initial set-up the image fluctuates in quality depending on the cable station. Sometimes it veers toward the dark, other times toward slightly washed out images. Adjusting the picture becomes a repetitive task until one finds a comfortable medium, if the set accommodates static settings. Images are crisp but the contrast/brightness/backlight levels are hard to zero in on. There's also active settings for color, color temperature and gamma. There are several auto adjustment settings but they cause the image to fluctuate actively throughout viewing. There's also a terrible viewing angle shift. What looks good straight on takes on a slightly faded look from a little as 30 degrees off 90. The sound is good. The interface intuitive enough.

Great beginner 4k TV, plastic legs?

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Plastic legs seem like a poor call on LGs part. Seem very very cheep. I plan on mounting the TV anyways but will be costing around $50-$75 more to mount, mainly because I don't trust the plastic leg stands that are included. Otherwise the TV is at a great price and I am sure it will be fine when mounted.

    MAJOR FLAW

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This TV has a great picture but unfortunately I have gotten an error message that says “TV Wi-Fi turned off“. First of all, that means your TV is broken because there’s no way to turn it back on; Second of all, this problem renders all the smart features useless since they require an Internet connection. Apparently this is a common issue with LG smart TVs, since I was able to find multiple forms with people bemoaning this issue, and there’s nothing you can really do about it if the warranty is up.

    TV Picture Too Dim

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The tv picture looks great, but it is too dim if you have ANY lights on in the room. I have tried every picture setting, and all of them are too dim. If I raise the brightness high enough, the picture doesn’t look as good. I wouldn’t recommend this tv due to that reason alone. I only use this tv for streaming (I do have cable), and the tv programs seem to be optimized for cable tv. The last issue that I have is the remote doesn’t light up, and the OK button doesn’t have any grooves or bumps. This makes the remote hard to use in the dark.
