Picture quality is great, but nothing spectacular. The tv will periodically drop the connection if you have another device taking up bandwidth (like downloading large files on a computer). My only real complaint is that paused images can burn into the screen similar to plasma tv’s from the mid 2000’s. The imprints seem to only last 5-6 minutes, but it’s still an inconvenience having to turn off the tv when pausing something. Guess you can’t expect much for how cheap it is.

Perfect TV for a bedroom or small living room

Easily the best TV I've every purchased. The UK6090 Series has excellent pixel color, the HDR adds depth to backgrounds to make every scene feel more full. The strongest point for this model by far though has to be the refresh rate. Each frame seems to have a flawless transition into the next. The Sound is acceptable but I already had a sound bar to take it to the next level. Worth every penny.

    Best 4K Budget TV

Best budget 4k tv. Video games look great at this price and it works great. No gimmicks but I am unsure if it's 2160p but still for it's original price it was a bargain. Open box is an even better deal. Anyways buy it for the 4k experience if you don't have a 4k tv.

I loved this TV but I am tired of the WIFI not functioning. First the wifi quits (had it fixed twice). I hook up ethernet all I see is "connected" , not connected" Would only recommend to someone that had money to purchase a long service warranty.

This was the worst tv experience Ive ever had. Between the apps failing to load constantly, webOS being atrocious, the flash ram being maxed out randomly and the power plug needing to be yanked just to actually power off the tv, there is little to nothing good about the tv.

    OK,but keeps forgetting wi-fi

I don't have cable - rarely watch it, and after all, that's what Netflix and Amazon Prime are for. Which would be great... if the TV would stay connected to Wifi. Not only does it not stay connected, it apparently won't keep the password as it asks me to reenter it EVERY SINGLE TIME. When it does finally decide to connect - and note, I can connect other devices with no issue (including the PC I'm writing this on, our wifi is fine) - it will stay connected, sure. But the next time I decide to use it? Not connected. Reenter the password. Extremely frustrating. As for the rest, the picture's ok, sure. And it's not expensive. If you're using a wired network connection, it should be fine. But the wireless is awful.

I have had this tv for a total of 4 hours before deciding I had to return it. I recently sent back a Toshiba smart tv in the same size. The Toshiba had purple bars and discoloration run across the screen for about 20 seconds and then vanish. Other then that it was a BEAUTIFUL picture. This LG though....yikes. It's so dark and none of the calibrations seem to get it looking decent. The setup and menus are also super clunky and cheap looking. Nothing came across as smooth or high quality. The legs on this were the cheapest, chintziest legs on a tv I have ever felt. The tv itself was also incredibly grainy/noisy when viewed close. I am bringing mine back tomorrow. I might go for the Samsung but I reallllllllllly loved the screen/picture quality on the Toshiba. I think I may wind up just going with that and getting the warranty just to be safe. I don't recommend this LG.

Not Impressed. Keep the box for 30 days!

Bought this on a last minute whim on [the real] Black Friday, [not this year-long gimmick companies use now]. I made the first mistake of TV shopping, not being able to see it in action on the showroom floor! I bought this as a computer monitor - finally breaking into 4K gaming. First off, switch the TV to Game Mode, otherwise you'll have a .5 second mouse lag! Be careful unpacking this TV, because the plastic housing is not the sturdiest. The legs are fine, but when I got the screen set up, I noticed that the frame was not clicked in in some spots. Nothing huge, just apply mild force and it pops right into place. I'm a tech nerd and graphic designer, so I instinctively know that the standard picture settings are always awful. This was no exception. I played with settings and got what I thought was looking good - except the yellows/oranges. I just could not get those to display properly. The orange logo of Nexus Mod Manager was a dark, dirty color. The Simpsons looked like they had jaundice - even for them - and were a dirty yellow-brown color. After about 2 days of playing with colors and settings, I finally found that the contrast and brightness were too high. I got them down to a better level, but the Google "O" is still more yellow than orange. This TV just cannot display yellows right. Google-ing "pure yellow" doesn't help either, as you'll just see 11 different shades of orange in the image results. It's supposedly an IPS monitor, which normally have really good color, and are praised for their wide viewing angles. This is definitely NOT a true IPS! The colors are OK, but the viewing angle is not. Now, you won't get the color shift and blurred out corners that we used to get on our Samsung 1080p 32". This LG more just loses contrast and black definition fairly easily when not looking at it from eye-level. If it had been hanging on the 2nd row in the store, I would not have bought it. Navigating to the menu to adjust the color settings takes longer than actually setting the picture! The menu is horrible, and there's no shortcut/quick-button for it on the remote. The only shortcut key is the first step to getting into the Menu at all - which is a drop-down list for presets for picture, audio, web, something else, and All Settings. So we're 5 clicks in just to get to the Menu itself! All the settings you need to adjust properly are buried within submenus - but so is every other TV, so I can't knock off points for that. What I can knock off points for is the long black screen while changing certain settings like "Deep Color" and "HDR". It's long enough that you don't get a sense of reference for comparing the two on and off. They also don't always like to stay enabled unless other conditions are just right. Same with the HDR setting in Windows 10 - it's a constant back and forth between the Windows HDR setting and the TV's to make sure that you're actually getting a High Dynamic Range image. Just not worth it at this Entry-level TV range. The black points and overall dynamic contrast on this TV aren't great - and don't think you can just turn up the "Contrast" setting, because it's a different type of contrast and you'll just end up with weird looking yellows and oranges. The type of panel it is is just not the best for Dynamic Contrast - or backlighting in general. The first thing I noticed when turning it on was some dark corners. This improves the further you are away from it. It's better, but not completely gone. The upper corners in animated TV shows have some darkness - due to the type of backlighting used. This TV uses a cheaper type of backlighting that lends itself to less-than-even distribution over the entire frame. In fact, when I first set it up, the backlight was so bright, you could see it bleeding through the bottom edge! So do your eyes a favor and sit on your couch with a wireless keyboard, instead of sitting at your desk with this. If you really need this as a workstation monitor, go for an ultrawide AOC IPS or any other 43" [16x9] true IPS monitor. They just have superior screens to a TV, and are worth the 2x price. It was only about $249, so not a bad price, but go with a Vizio for an extra $100 if you really want a TV/Monitor combo [plus better HDR compatibility]. Oh, Over the Air antennae did not pick up any of my local stations, because it's the wrong kind. You still need the converter box with this TV! Really, LG?! 2018 and you can't get internal antennas right?

TV was not used much the first year and a half as it was in a gaming room connected to an Xbox. Had seen it have an issue connecting to internet once but it corrected itself after rebooting. Fast forward another year and I moved it to the bedroom, where it now requires a hard line connection to the internet (or at min a power line adapter) or it is useless. Do not buy this TV - I’ve seen comments on the internet where others have the same issue.
